Sam, Benny, and the Beam Team did a GREAT JOB on this game! A fun Survival game from a small team of developers. I survived 38 days before escaping. Game never crashed a single time in 24 real life hours of play!
local coop makes it fun with my 10 year old

Ok, so I liked the game, but would I recommend it to others? Most likely not. I try to beat a game every holiday. This was my memorial day weekend play. I enjoyed it at first. Love an OWSC, but... too many glitches (really didn't like when I had to chase a giant boar carcass through a storm like it was a leaf in the wind when I needed leather bad and couldn't let it just fly off). The crafting could have been much better, more intuitive. Everything should have been more intuitive. I was stuck for a long time because I didn't know the crafting menu had tabs you could switch through, or that you have to press forward on the motor even though all sailing up until that point had been left/right. Do you press forward on a regular motorboat? Exactly.. Final boss was impossible to find. WHY IS THE MAP OFF CENTER?! You should be able to create a map, logging as you go, like the label maker, you can label different spots. All the bosses were way too easy, it was like fighting any other critter just took more hits (the squid was probably the most fun because it actually dragged you down). They should also get crossed off the map when you beat them and why is the map only available if you quit the game? Oh and also, WHY IS THE MAP OFF CENTER. This was a good 'one and done' I guess. I would probably go back to Green Hell for survival mode. Graphics were pretty.
One of the worst survival games I've ever played. Green Hell is worse, by far. I consider that this worst survival game of all time that fooled the most people. But this is pretty bad. It's just an inventory management simulator with some of the worst UI and crafting systems. Sure, we want realism but the extremely small inventory is just ridiculous. You are constantly dropping things, picking them back up, and dropping something from your inventory so you can actually equip something else, to drop something else! It's so tedious. Combat feels like 2015. Just no satisfaction there. Building doesn't scratch that itch, just a mad dash to find all the resources before you return to the obligatory water/food cycle. That will take up about half your day until you upgrade certain things, which helps. The Ocean is just a death zone. From getting trapped underwater in ship wrecks just trying to go back through the door you came in from to the most aggressive sharks and poisonous creatures imaginable. It feels like work from square 1. Poison can destroy a game, especially if at your last save you're almost dead and don't know it. Poison doesn't go away and you need antidote. It will tell you that you are poisoned on your watch (wtf, more watch crap) but your life goes down really slowly so all of a sudden, you're about to die, can't find the resources to craft antidote, too long to get to another island, and that's the game since the previous save. I could keep going and going but this is an old game and no one reads this crap anyway. Just disappointed. Really thought this could be something and then the tedium creeps in, inventory management is so time consuming, and you start quickly identifying the decisions the developer made to just extend the game and make this more work than fun. Last update - I saved, go to fight the last boss. Die. Restart only it is my save from 2 turns ago! Completely done with this turd. What an awful, awful game and the developer deserves to never be able to touch a video game again. P.S. The music is great, graphics are great. Guess those are just expectations now. P.P.S. I finally beat the game. What a complete and total let down. You fix the propeller plane that ends up hitting your private jet. causing a time loop. Wow. Just wow. Everyone who thought this was a competent finale, an edgy end to a trivial story should be taken out back and flogged. How does this even get made? All that work. All that effort. To finish the game in a time loop. Unreal. I take it back, the ending makes this worse than Green Hell. This is the worst survival game on Steam to-date.
jogo muito ruim, não salva as vezes o progresso. perdi mais de 2 horas que joguei e não salvou. decepcionada com esse jogo!!!
