Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 10 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Stories: The Path of Destinies is an action RPG set in a vibrant fairytale universe filled with floating islands, majestic airships, and colorful magic. Reynardo, an ex-pirate and unintentional hero, suddenly becomes the last line of defense against the mad Emperor and his countless ravens. Can he come up with a plan that won’t blow up in his face, for a change?
In Stories, each choice you make takes Reynardo into a unique narrative. From tongue-in-cheek takes on heroic adventures to dark, Lovecraftian scenes, Stories’ repertoire is as diverse as it is action-packed. But Reynardo’s fateful decisions won’t always come easy: Sometimes retrieving a weapon lost at the beginning of time means sacrificing the life of an old friend. But with so many choices to make and so many potential dire destinies, wouldn't it be great to come back in time, learn from your mistakes, and find the one true path?

Unique choice-based narrative in which players explore many different storylines to find the path to victory
Fluid and fast-paced combat blending acrobatic swordplay, grab attacks, special abilities, and more
Charming hand-drawn illustrations and a colorful storybook aesthetic
A deep skill tree where players can unlock powerful new abilities such as the Hookshot or even Time Mastery
An arsenal of magic-infused swords that can be crafted and upgraded
An original soundtrack that changes dynamically with every choice

Reviews
Recommended This game feels like a small hidden gem that doesn’t try to be overly complex, but still manages to be memorable. The biggest strength here is the storytelling. The choose-your-own-adventure structure works really well, and it actually makes you curious about what would happen if you made different choices. Each run is short, but meaningful, and slowly builds a bigger picture of the story. It’s a clever way to encourage replaying without making it feel forced—at least at first. The characters are charming and easy to like, and the narration adds a lot of personality to the experience. Reynardo in particular stands out and carries much of the game’s tone. Gameplay-wise, it’s fairly simple. Combat is smooth and enjoyable in the beginning, but it doesn’t evolve much, so it can become repetitive after multiple playthroughs. The same goes for level design—you’ll revisit the same areas quite often, which may start to feel a bit tiring if you're going for all endings. Still, the game succeeds because of its atmosphere, writing, and unique structure. It’s not perfect, but it offers something different, and that alone makes it worth playing. Verdict: A charming, story-driven experience with a clever narrative design, slightly held back by repetition.

Muito bão
Short game, but fun game. No boss-fights however. Also be aware you'll be going through the same stages multiple times. But overall pretty solid short little adventure with a lot of replay value.
Weird to see this getting a sequel
I’ve been holding onto this title for quite some time, one of those games gifted by a friend that ended up in my ever-growing Steam backlog. I never really felt compelled to sit down and play it, but I finally gave it a chance after seeing the random trailer for its sequel. I found myself (and apparently many others) wondering: what was so great about this game that it deserved a sequel, especially when something like Omensight did so much better, even if both games were still heavily niche and under performed?
Issues
Still showcased some minor bugs, after all these years, nothing too game breaking though, compared to Omensight. While I understand the voice actor may have been a novice at this point in their career, the inconsistent cadence and lack of distinct character voices really took me out of the experience. The performance felt low-effort and aggressively average, so much so that I doubt even kids would be entertained by it. A shame. He does improve in the sequel’s demo, but that introduces another issue: the original game is extremely short, decently designed, and very casual. It took me just under two hours to beat it, finishing four separate runs to see the main ending. Yet, despite boasting over 20 endings and alternative combinations, only this one mattered, the rest are just minor variations. Each run boiled down to two or three minutes of fighting followed by more mediocre voice acting, story progression and then the book flipping through it's pages. Ultimately, choices don’t matter much and everything moves along quickly. It’s fine as a simple, casual title that doesn't take much of your time or interaction, but not much more than that.
Conclusion
The game was alright. That's about it. The sequel on the other hand, is quite awful in its current state. There’s was a massive deterioration in visual art quality, character models, weapons, and combat mechanics, like babies first 3D leap. The overall experience feels like a step back rather than an improvement, making it a disappointing follow-up to the original. Omensight is really an improvement all around, but this one is still well worth playing, a clever synthesis of roguelite and visual novel. The combat is fluid and exciting---and really makes you feel like a swashbuckling hero---and the characters are charming and compelling. I got the true ending in 5 tries, which I think might be the fastest possible (since there are 4 key insights you must find before you can do it), but I may yet go back and try some different routes just to see what else might happen. Honestly I think the one part I didn't[/i[ really like were the pop-culture puns and fourth-wall-breaking jokes by the narrator. I think that part could simply have been dropped.
