Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

An abandoned game now owned by a company that uses DMCA takedowns to attack its competition. How very sad.
An RTS thats impossible to control due to the devs struggling with basic concepts that were solved in 1997. These devs have never played an rts, and it shows. your ships formation function simply does not work, they are way too far apart to be at all effective, if you try to make them sail closer, jokes on you, they will just sail off in random directions. A little extra micro would not hurt if it were not for the fact that the entire control scheme sucks. Forced casual control scheme that ends up making the game nearly unplayable. Its insane how low the bar is set,

Not only do the game-breaking bugs make it impossible to finish out a campaign, the developers on this game abandoned it before finishing it in the first place. It seems almost intentional to make the campaigns so broken that way they could excuse never finishing the game because of the "bigger and better" the developers were already onto. That "bigger and better" involved two more unfinished games filled with larger promises than delivered results. Ultimate General: Civil War was the high water mark of this company. They flew too close to the Sun, I guess.
If you love the golden age of sail, Ultimate Admiral: Age of Sail absolutely delivers where it matters most. The naval battles are magnificent, and there is nothing quite like the awe-inspiring sight of massive first to third rate ships of the line unleashing devastating broadsides. To top it off, watching a well placed shot trigger a massive magazine detonation will never, ever get old it is incredibly satisfying every single time. The game also features land army mechanics, while I didn't enjoy the land combat quite as much as the seafaring action, it's still decent and doesn't take away from the core experience. Performance wise, the game runs amazingly well. I experienced a few random crashes here and there without an obvious cause, but they weren't enough to spoil the fun. Overall, it's a fantastic strategy title for any naval combat fan!
If you are a fan of fighting with wooden sailing ships this is a serviceable game. I feel it is more like a final beta instead of a polished game. It lacks mods and a sandbox environment. Nothing resembling a game manual. Seems barely an advancement on Talon Soft's 1996 windows 95 game. Old swabbie here with active sea duty, reader big time < Six Frigates by Ian W. Toll > (The Constitution, Constellation, Presidents, Congress, United States, Chesapeake) . <Victory in Tripoli by Joshua E. London > (The Barbary War 1801-1805.). Let the modders at this game. I own Rome Total War remastered. Vanilla game 1 hour, Impmerium Surrectium mod, 1200 Hours.
Save your money, this game is extremely frustrating. Zero help in the tutorial, the instructions can't even tell you the proper way to navigate "south" is a loose term that means "north west". Ships strike their colors then join back into battle just before you have a chance to board. No fun. Idiots
If by any chance you are thinking "Wow!! Ultimate Admiral Dreadnoughts but with sailing tall ships!" - Noooooooo no, no, no. This is not anything like Dreadnoughts. Ultimate General would be a more suiting name for this game. you can choose from a range of countries as long its either the US or Britain. Bought it with a discount and still asked for a refund.
Rangs. Was passiert als nächstes? Nächstes Gefecht? Stehen da vier Linienschiffe des 3. Rangs.
Like most other UA games, it's a full linear campaign, so Total War players coming here will not get that open world experience. Now, knowing this, I came in with an open mind, and rewarded with a pretty good game and some amazing ship models. Animations, sounds, and effects are all well done. Even if it doesn't have a sandbox experience, it is great. That being said, $30 is a LOT for this type of game. It doesn't have replayability and it only got 2 campaigns. It can get very boring. I think by that price, and for what it offers, it can do better. I just wish the devs come back and make a sandbox or post endgame option, because this really isn't that replayable without that element. The biggest problem is the terrible land battles. I appreciate it is there and you can skip them, but doing so will hurt you severely. I just wish there were more naval battles in this game over the terrible land battles.
