Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Stories: The Path of Destinies is an action RPG set in a vibrant fairytale universe filled with floating islands, majestic airships, and colorful magic. Reynardo, an ex-pirate and unintentional hero, suddenly becomes the last line of defense against the mad Emperor and his countless ravens. Can he come up with a plan that won’t blow up in his face, for a change?
In Stories, each choice you make takes Reynardo into a unique narrative. From tongue-in-cheek takes on heroic adventures to dark, Lovecraftian scenes, Stories’ repertoire is as diverse as it is action-packed. But Reynardo’s fateful decisions won’t always come easy: Sometimes retrieving a weapon lost at the beginning of time means sacrificing the life of an old friend. But with so many choices to make and so many potential dire destinies, wouldn't it be great to come back in time, learn from your mistakes, and find the one true path?

Unique choice-based narrative in which players explore many different storylines to find the path to victory
Fluid and fast-paced combat blending acrobatic swordplay, grab attacks, special abilities, and more
Charming hand-drawn illustrations and a colorful storybook aesthetic
A deep skill tree where players can unlock powerful new abilities such as the Hookshot or even Time Mastery
An arsenal of magic-infused swords that can be crafted and upgraded
An original soundtrack that changes dynamically with every choice

This game feels like playing through a fairy tale that keeps telling you, “Are you sure you want to do that?” Stories: The Path of Destinies is a charming little action RPG with a really interesting idea behind it: every choice you make changes the story, and you have to explore different paths to discover the truth and eventually find the right ending. The combat is simple but satisfying, the world is colorful and beautiful, and the narrator is easily one of the best parts of the game. The way the story reacts to your choices gives the whole game a nice sense of discovery, especially when you realize that something you thought was the correct decision actually led you straight into disaster. It's not a huge game, and the gameplay can get repetitive after a while, especially since you'll revisit some areas while trying different paths. But I actually think the shorter length works in its favor. It doesn't overstay its welcome. The real appeal is discovering the story piece by piece, making choices, getting things completely wrong, and then going back to see what happens if you choose differently. It's not a massive RPG with hundreds of hours of content — and it doesn't try to be. It's a fun, colorful and surprisingly clever little adventure with a lot of personality.

I went into Stories: The Path of Destinies expecting a simple indie action RPG, but ended up finding one of the more unique narrative experiences I've played. The biggest selling point here is the story structure. Every playthrough is built around a series of choices that lead to different endings, and almost every ending teaches you something new about the world. You're expected to fail, rewind, and try again with the knowledge you've gained. Instead of feeling like traditional New Game+, it feels like your character is slowly piecing together the "correct" version of events. The narrator deserves a special mention. If you enjoyed the style of Bastion, you'll probably appreciate this too. He's constantly commenting on your actions, adding humor, explaining the world, and making repeated playthroughs far more entertaining than they would be otherwise. The voice acting is excellent. Combat is fast, responsive, and satisfying, even if it's not particularly deep. Countering attacks, dashing around enemies, throwing them into each other, and experimenting with different sword abilities keeps things enjoyable for quite a while. The RPG progression is simple but rewarding, and unlocking new swords gives you access to additional paths and secrets. Visually, the game has aged surprisingly well. The colorful floating islands, fairy-tale aesthetic, and vibrant environments still look charming today. Combined with a fantastic soundtrack, it creates a relaxing atmosphere that's easy to get lost in. That said, the game definitely has its flaws. The biggest one is repetition. You'll revisit the same locations many times while chasing different story branches. The narrative changes, but the levels themselves don't change enough, so if you're someone who likes seeing completely new environments every hour, this may start to feel repetitive. Enemy variety is also fairly limited, and combat eventually stops introducing new ideas. Still, I think the storytelling is strong enough to carry the experience. The branching narrative genuinely kept me curious about what would happen next, and reaching the true ending felt earned rather than simply unlocked. Pros Fantastic branching narrative Excellent narrator and voice acting Beautiful art direction Fun, fluid combat Great soundtrack Choices actually matter Cons Reuses the same levels frequently Limited enemy variety Combat can become repetitive during completionist runs If you're looking for a story-driven action RPG where choices have meaningful consequences, this is an easy recommendation—especially on sale. Just don't expect every replay to feel completely fresh.
[Note 6/10 - "Oui Mais..."]
I like that the action is challenging enough to keep the player on their toes, yet easy enough to not get too frustrated. Additionally, though the completion will typically require quite a few playthroughs to discover the correct path, the areas change somewhat when being replayed so as not to bore the player with the exact same area over and over. The storylines on playthroughs feel like Choose Your Own Adventure books, if any viewers know the series I am referring to. I overall love the game, though I think it lags on my device a bit, and I uncovered what I think is a glitch - or two, perhaps. I also think the narration is well done. However, I'll admit I am a sucker for a good fox protagonist, so another source might be better than I, especially since I have eagerly waited for a year or two to play this after first learning of it online. I would give it (so far) a modest 7.5/10, this taking into account my possible fox-protag bias. Ultimately, I think its best to dip your toes in other sources; perhaps try looking at gameplay clips if you can find any. It'll be worth your time if you like similar stories/action. Take a look for yourself, don't take my word for it alone!
Fox turns pages back Choices reshape destiny One true path emerges
The game is alright. It has a decent combat system once you get some of the upgrades that is actually pretty fun when you get into it. The game is not good enough IMO to replay the game to get all endings, but it is worth getting to the true ending. I managed to beat the game in the minimum number of "Runs" based on some game design sense and the devs made it so that if you did make the "commom choice", it is not too hard to get to the true ending, which I appreciated a lot. I do quite like the narrative and the characters. It's fairly standard with nothing too crazy but it is a feel good story overall. It might be a bit normie but I like the normie stuff. The rpg systems really didnt need to be there, but I guess it does not really detract from the game at all so it's passable. The game's visuals, music, and the narrator are all well done and surprising brings a wholesome feeling to the whole game. The narrator did a good job. If you are okay with decent combat and some downtime running around while going through a fun and interesting narrative I'd say you can pick this up. The game is pretty simple, so you wont find something complex or "gamer activation" here. A nice and chill game.
nice!
