About
The city burns and bleeds as it suffers the madness of King Louis XVI and his violent legions of automatons. Aegis, a mechanical masterpiece created by the engineer Vaucanson to be the queen's bodyguard, must save the French Revolution in this challenging action-RPG.
Up against the king's mechanical soldiers, deadly accuracy will be needed. String together dodges, parries, jumps and devastating attacks to fight your way through Paris. Every fight will test your nerve and requires excellent discipline, while the huge relentless machine bosses demand patience and skill.
Define your own style and upgrade your abilities as you progress through the game. You can play as a ruthless warrior, a hard-hitting bodyguard, a deadly dancer or a virtuoso of the elemental arts. Take advantage of a wide variety of weapons and skills to approach each fight in your own unique way.
Using carriages, grapples, secret passages, a detailed map, and other methods and tools you find along the way, explore a city experiencing its darkest days. Your grappling hook adds a new dimension to exploration and Paris's verticality. Combined with your dash ability, it will provide access to all the city's secrets across multiple levels you can explore over and over again.
You are one of the main characters of an alternative history where Paris is being choked by a tyrant king. Allies and enemies with unclear motives will cross your path, such as Marie-Antoinette, Lafayette and Robespierre. It's up to you to cut a path through all the plotting and put an end to one man's madness so that the French Revolution succeeds.

This game is a mess. I have a high end PC and I play every game with max settings without issues. This however is a mess. Performance issues aside, I still would not recommend. There are so much better souls likes out there than this. I regret buying this mess... Don't make the same mistake boys.
About as generic as a soulslike gets.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
To punish the oppressors of humanity is clemency; to forgive them is cruelty. - Maximilien Robespierre
⚙️Steelrising – a solid Soulslike with a lot of story 🌱Soulslike for beginners: Steelrising is a relatively easy Soulslike, for many even one of the easiest in the genre. If you are looking for the typical extreme difficulty, you should keep this in mind. However, it is a very good entry point for newcomers, as it includes an optional assist mode designed to make the mechanics and the genre more understandable (I did not try it myself, but it seems useful). 📜Story & setting: The game is set during the French Revolution, but in an alternate version of history. A brilliant inventor creates humanoid machines that, with the support of the king, are mass-produced. France is gradually controlled by a mechanical army, while the population suffers from hunger and oppression. The player controls Aegis, a machine that appears to have developed its own will, and is tasked by Marie Antoinette to fight against the royal automatons in order to free Paris. This is especially interesting for history enthusiasts, as many characters are based on real historical figures and the French Revolution is presented in an alternate interpretation. ⚔️Gameplay & combat: The combat system feels somewhat clunky at times and not as fluid as in other Soulslikes. This may even be intentional to emphasize the mechanical nature of the protagonist. Boss fights are generally well designed and offer solid encounters. Overall, the gameplay still works quite well and is enjoyable. Typical genre features include: • Various weapons that can be upgraded • Armor with bonuses and different playstyles • Unique special abilities for each weapon • Modules that provide additional effects and skills • A relatively linear level design with checkpoints 🎨Atmosphere, graphics & sound: Visually, the game looks very good. The world and environments are varied and atmospheric. The enemy and boss designs are also very well made and creative. Further positives include: • A fitting and well-composed soundtrack • High-quality and very well-voiced dialogue 🧭Story, side quests & choices: The story is well told and offers choices with multiple possible endings. In addition, there are several side quests whose outcomes can influence the story and certain developments. This adds a bit more depth and makes the world feel more alive. The mix of alternate history and real historical figures is very well executed and adds variety. ⚠️Criticism: • Somewhat clunky movement and combat system • Occasionally quite demanding on hardware even today • Not a particularly deep or complex combat system compared to other Soulslikes ⭐Conclusion: Steelrising is a solid Soulslike with a lot of story and definitely some rough edges, but overall a well-rounded package. Especially newcomers to the genre or players who enjoy alternate history settings will find a good game here with strong atmosphere, solid storytelling, and a great soundtrack. It is a shame that the development team no longer exists in this form, as the concept had strong potential for further development. Overall, a recommendation for fans of the genre, beginners, and history enthusiasts. Thanks for reading.
Steelrising Tried Its Best So Lies of P Didn’t Have To
Can’t believe this game came out just a year before we got Lies of P . I picked it up because of the aesthetics and similarities to Lies of P, and yeah… that was my first mistake. I tried to keep my expectations low, but even then, the game just didn’t impress me. Combat is the make or break, the bread and butter of a souls-like game , and Steelrising’s combat is just bad.
Pros
: -Decent Graphics and aesthetics. -Got on sale dirt cheap so I won't refund it. -Devs have put thoughts in the fundamental design of the game (talking about the in-game mechanics not the graphics design)
Cons
: -Combat is the huge disappointment in a souls-like game -The game does not have a block or perry mechanic even though some weapon's special attribute is: "Block" (developers are trolling or they forgot to implement) -The tutorial popups were inconsistent, some disappeared before I could read them, and others just stayed on screen till I manually press a button. -Runs very poorly, Even on low settings it required 6GB of VRAM minimum. (As mentioned in requirements) -Voice lines are out of sync -Walking and combat animations are weird and floaty. I'd give this game a solid 2.5/10
Lies of P na França
O problema? A otimização é inexistente.
Full achivments, secrets, titans... 100% game quests and side quests done. Great game, music, environment, graphics. Kind of pinochio game as automats turn to life, "lies of P" kind! Game beaten!
