About
The city burns and bleeds as it suffers the madness of King Louis XVI and his violent legions of automatons. Aegis, a mechanical masterpiece created by the engineer Vaucanson to be the queen's bodyguard, must save the French Revolution in this challenging action-RPG.
Up against the king's mechanical soldiers, deadly accuracy will be needed. String together dodges, parries, jumps and devastating attacks to fight your way through Paris. Every fight will test your nerve and requires excellent discipline, while the huge relentless machine bosses demand patience and skill.
Define your own style and upgrade your abilities as you progress through the game. You can play as a ruthless warrior, a hard-hitting bodyguard, a deadly dancer or a virtuoso of the elemental arts. Take advantage of a wide variety of weapons and skills to approach each fight in your own unique way.
Using carriages, grapples, secret passages, a detailed map, and other methods and tools you find along the way, explore a city experiencing its darkest days. Your grappling hook adds a new dimension to exploration and Paris's verticality. Combined with your dash ability, it will provide access to all the city's secrets across multiple levels you can explore over and over again.
You are one of the main characters of an alternative history where Paris is being choked by a tyrant king. Allies and enemies with unclear motives will cross your path, such as Marie-Antoinette, Lafayette and Robespierre. It's up to you to cut a path through all the plotting and put an end to one man's madness so that the French Revolution succeeds.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The best word I can use to describe SteelRising (which is the correct title even though Steel Rising sounds better) is unfortunate. Not making much of a splash upon release, this alternate history Soulslike was eclipsed within just a year by another game, becoming the game that appears in the footnotes of the Soulslike history. Not hated by any means, but not committed to memory compared to a certain other game. I'll cut to the chase with this comparison. Is Steelrising better than Lies Of P? No. Does that invalidate the game as a whole? Also no. The aesthetics of a revolutionary France are well realised, feeling like an accurate portrayal of the time period while still modifying it to fit the narrative. However, the choice of locales was somewhat uninspired, mostly being city streets, parks and a mining area. I understand that Paris isn't exactly a Mario game with all the diverse biomes that entails, but an area inside an opera house or a grand landmark would be effective for remembering the experience. The soundtrack is equally decent, with the few times the soundtrack pops up being impressive (the boss fights in particular being an appropriately orchestral delight). As for the game's mechanics, it leans more Bloodborne than Dark Souls, but with a new feature involving timing button presses after exhausting stamina to refill your bar at the cost of some status buildup. In principle, this is an interesting mechanic that encourages well-paced aggression. In practice though, the mechanic was barely noticeable as enemies are often not aggressive enough to make me run low on stamina. Perhaps my build (big bonk weapon build) factored into that somewhat, but even so, if your central differing mechanic is that easily ignored, that's not a positive. Boss fights are where a Soulslike either comes together or falls apart and Steelrising...kinda does both. The boss designs are fantastic, being unique concepts with creative twists on Soulslike classics. Unfortunately, the game's overall difficulty lets them down, with only 2 of the roughly 8 unique bosses scoring a kill on me. This issue is compounded with the final boss, who has a brilliant design, but is just too easy to pose a significant threat, creating a finale that was honestly, a bit disappointing. Speaking of the ending, the story is something I could very easily predict, but it was still well executed enough that I could enjoy the ride. Aegis herself is a great character and the supporting cast are interesting by themselves. The final 2 hours or so do have me feeling like they needed to quickly wrap things up after realising that deadlines were closer than they thought. Overall, if you're looking for the next Lies Of P or the next Bloodborne 2, Steelrising won't satisfy you enough to call it worthy. But if your expectations for this game were pretty low (like mine), you may end up pleasantly surprised. At its standard price, I can't recommend it, but if this game's out on a discount, it's worth a shot. It's good...just not revolutionary.
Good and time consuming.

This is a perfectly mid soulslike and I like that. /É um jogo perfeitamente mediano e eu gosto dele.
Obviously cheats like hell, laggy, responsetimes are million seconds ......
Buon Souls-Like, impegnativo ma accessibile, con buona grafica, ottima art direction, un minimo di trama e buone meccaniche. Dopo una quindicina di ore mi sento di consigliarlo!
Jogo me surpreendeu, jogabilidade muito boa. Lembra muito Bloodborne
