For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. About

The population of the harsh desert planet Kwalasha needs our help. Their peaceful lives, working in the mining industry, have been disturbed by a threat that they cannot face alone: the Arachnids. Under Colonel Hawthorne’s command, the Mobile Infantry will take back control of the planet and smash everything that has more than two legs. Enlist in this exciting military campaign, meet inspiring characters, visit amazing locations and do your part in the heroic war against the Bug!

The Arachnids may have virtually limitless numbers, but they lack the thorough tactical training that the Mobile Infantry enjoys. Position your units in advantageous choke points or on higher elevations. Be wary, however, that battle mechanics such as True Line of Sight and True Line of Fire may limit your field of fire and allow the treacherous Bugs to lay in ambush.

Optimize your army by choosing from a wide range of specialized unit types, each with its own strengths, weaknesses and set of unlockable elite abilities. Rifle Troopers can use their shotgun ability to hold back large numbers of Arachnids, M11 Marauders bipeds can unleash a withering mortar barrage and the Fleet Liaison can call down dropships with reinforcements or direct an airstrike to wipe out whole swaths of enemies.

The Bug infestation is rooted in elaborate underground hives. These present a unique challenge that demands a delicate balance between aggression and defense. Beware of the numerous tunnel openings, from which hordes of Arachnids can emerge.
To eradicate the Bug problem for good, their nests must be eradicated!

After currently 30 Hours put into this, I love it. As an RTS and Strategy game Lover, Playing games like Dawn of War, Halo Wars, MOW Assault Squad, Homeworld, and many others, This game has got to be up in my top 5 Favorites. I love Starship Troopers, and this game, puts you right into the world, battling the Bug Menace. At this time, I will as well be purchasing all the DLCs, as i NEED MORE OF IT. However, some people may find issues with this, It is an RTS, however, for those of you who would want to know, No, this game does not have a Pause Combat button, fast forward, Slow Down, or a Patrol Moduel, Not that RTS's need to have those, I was able to beat the hardest difficulty without them, but some of you rely on them, so this is more of a heads up. Still fun, and a fun campaign.

The game itself, including the campaign is good so if you're interested in that then I do recommend.. But, if the new territory mode is an indicator of the quality of future content then I have concerns. Territory mode has potential but it will need a ton of improvements. I would love to see it become a dynamic campaign but in it's current state it is clunky and boring. The reason for the negative review is because I cannot stand AI voiceovers and writing.. Charging for AI generated content is beyond lazy, it's a scam! Avoid the DLC!
Very simplistic compared to similar style games, even form decades past.. Definitely not worth the money.. Refund requested.
I'm a big fan of the Starship troopers films so seeing a game translate that setting is awesome to see. I think the characters in the story are generally unlikeable and I don't understand why i cant shift click orders. Those are my only real complaints with the game. Beyond that it would be a really good idea to add coop or even pvp to this game and further flesh out base building or units. There is something really special here, perhaps we will see these things in a sequel. I enjoyed the campaign and am going through the dlcs at the moment. If i had to give it a score id give it a 7.5 or 8 out of 10. If you're a fan of Starship Troopers it's an obvious purchase and more like an 8 or a 9.
I wasn't expecting a lot from a Starship Troopers-themed RTS, and was pleasantly surprised by the enjoyment I was getting out of it... Until the fatal crashes started. Mid mission, nonstop I'd get a fatal crash that kills the game with zero error message, and no information as to WHY the game instantly closed down. Unfortunately these fatal crashes really kill any desire to make any progress in the campaign (despite constant auto-saves) because I know my system is leagues ahead of the recommended requirements, yet the game drops without warning or information on how to solve the problem. Things I've tried to remedy the solution: 1. Make sure drivers are up to date 2. Verify files in case any are missing 3. Reinstall the game (on an SSD this time) in case it had a bad install 4. Disable v-sync 5. Disable Steam in-game overlay I'd also like to point out that the only graphic settings in this game are: Enabling fullscreen, enabling v-sync, changing graphic quality (very vague), and adjusting resolution. If it were a graphics setting issue, I have no control over it. In conclusion, this game was clearly made by the Arachnids to thwart any attempt at enjoying what could've been a great game because I don't have the patience I used to wield on troubleshooting a game failing to work when I can just move on and play something else. I didn't pay much for it, and kudos to anyone else that enjoys it, but I don't play broken games anymore; my time's more valuable than that.
Action und eine sehr gute taktische Komponente mit variablem Schwierigkeitsgrad
+ Nice feeling from the movie. - Extremly linear, massive minus, no creative freedom of how to aproach targets. It´s quite hard if you dont fix your hotkeys good (Lefthanded is a problem if you dont rearrange hotkeys). My friend is a Die-hard fan of all things 1980s-90s and he loves this game more than life itself (allmost, he is playing this so often that I really had to get it myself to check it out if it was my cup of tea). I have not really given it a chance and only been playing it less than an hour so I know Im not really fair. But so far I´m bored. Rather play these RTS: The scouring (Came 2025,Warcraft3 inspired),Northgard,Bad north,Scourge of war remastered,Age2 I HATE: Linear games LOVE:Sandbox, skirmish, open systems/worlds, Choice matters. DONT CARE ABOUT: graphics I usually play around 100+ new games on steam each year and this is my humle ignorant review of it based on less than an hour gameplay and its not a bad game but not my cup of tea at all so far. The linearity perhaps later on
Verdict
👍 Recommended I played Starship Troopers: Terran Command for about 16 minutes and I already see it’s a genuinely good game. It’s a tactical RTS where you push across the map, complete objectives, and hold the line against huge swarms of Arachnids, with really nice visuals and a satisfying “units vs endless bugs” vibe. But I also know I won’t finish it. RTS mission pacing and managing squads just isn’t something I want to commit to right now. So: good game, just not a game I’m going to stick with.
My history with the game

Tried it briefly
Played around 16 minutes
Liked the visuals and the core concept
Not finishing it

Quick signals
💸 Value: ☑Great if you like RTS campaigns 🖥️ Requirements: ☑Reasonable for an RTS 🎨 Graphics: ☑Really nice-looking battlefield and bug hordes ⏱️ Length: ☑Medium (campaign style) 📖 Story: ☑Present, Starship Troopers flavor 🎮 Difficulty: ☑Can ramp up hard depending on mission and setting 🐛 Bugs: ☑Ironically, lots of bugs (the enemy kind)
What I liked

The concept is fun: advancing with squads while mowing down massive bug waves
The visuals looked great right away
It feels tactical, with positioning and line-of-sight style gameplay

What didn’t work for me

RTS mission structure is not something I want to commit to long-term
Even though it’s good, I can tell I won’t be in the mood to finish a full campaign

Is it an endless game? How long to beat?
It’s not an endless game by default, because it has a campaign you can finish. But it can still have long-term value if you enjoy replaying content and modes like Territory Mode (added as a different way to play with multiple maps and battlegroups). For playtime, estimates vary a lot by difficulty and how clean your mission attempts are:

Some players/reviews report around 10 hours to finish
Other estimates put a full campaign more like 15 to 20 hours

Who will love it

RTS fans who like tactical positioning, choke points, and managing unit compositions
Starship Troopers fans who want the “hold the line vs swarms” fantasy
Players who enjoy mission-based campaigns and strategic objectives

Replay value

For me: low, because I’m not going to finish it.
For RTS fans: solid, especially with extra modes like Territory Mode.
As an RTS noob and someone who liked the movie, I really enjoyed this game. It’s great to see a strategy game that DOESN'T need a minimum of 50 hours to complete, nor is it only for super-hardcore strategy players. Instead, you have a classic single-player experience with multiple levels and simple, clear objectives. The same goes for the actual gameplay, which is relatively easy to understand and gives you enough time to learn the strategic depth of each faction. I also like the core combat: the bugs are absolutely lethal in close combat, so you need to take them down from a distance before they can reach your lines. That makes it not only tactical in how you position yourself, but it also creates tense situations where that one bug gets killed just in time before it can get too close. However, this simple task is not that easy, and it tests your ability to adapt to challenging missions where a broken defensive line or an eliminated unit can quickly escalate and destroy your entire army. That’s why I can recommend this game for having easy-to-learn but hard-to-master mechanics, especially for those who, like me, don't have much experience with strategy games.
