STAR WARS™: The Force Unleashed™ II

I rarely review games but I feel this one warrants a review somewhat. This is a very, very light negative review, somewhere closer to mixed. The game sure is fun, it's more of the same as Force Unleashed 1. I won't touch much on the hardware aspects; most people here have already done that and I installed some fixes and it worked aside from maybe two crashes? so I feel I can't speak to that. The real egregious crap for me is how stupidly short it is. DO NOT buy this game at full price, DO NOT buy it at half price. The $8.99 it regularly drops too is still too high imo. Anything above 5 dollars USD is too high. Without spoiling too much, the story barely expands on anything in Force Unleashed 1 and if you only play the game, you'll be left disappointed in this game's story. To get the full story you need to read the novel and the graphic novel to see the other POVs that this game just vaguely hints at, which is awful writing in my opinion. The level design doesn't help much, given there's only truly 3 proper levels and each one ends up rehashing or reusing assets from earlier in the game. I beat the game on hard mode and the first few levels are brutal slogs where I died a lot, but then at some point a switch flipped and it became incredibly easy. I expected that, honestly, but the progression felt almost instant. To add onto that, there's little to no replayability beyond some collectibles, a challenge mode I didn't feel super inclined to play, and an alternate ending that you could honestly just replay the last level to experience. 4/10 below average. If it wasn't a Star Wars game I'd rate it even lower lol.

Я даже не буду говорить ничего про лор, про сюжет, про общую незаконченность и реюз всего локаций. Это САМЫЙ унылый боссфайт, что я видел в своей жизни. 20 минут стоять напротив Вейдера и ждать окна для удара. Он, к слову, тебя тоже не бьёт и просто стоит. Великолепно! Я понимаю, что игру им не дали закончить или что-то такое, но как ЭТО дошло до релиза? Никто из делающих этот уровень не подумал, что 20 минут прыгать по одинаковым платформам и смотреть на Вейдера - это полнейшая хуита? Ну и порт - говно. Ладно 30 фпс, оно ещё и вылетает постоянно, а финальные катсцены просто не показываются. Гештальт закрыл, больше никогда к этому поделию возвращаться не буду.
