Mixed / Recommended with Reservations ⭐⭐☆☆☆ Star Wars: Squadrons drops you straight into the cockpit of your favourite starfighters and actually makes you feel like a pilot. The dogfights are tense, satisfying, and wonderfully immersive — especially if you play in first-person or VR, where every boost, barrel roll, and shield toggle feels real. The fleet battles add a bit of strategic depth, and flying classic ships like X-wings and TIE fighters never gets old. That said, the package isn’t huge. The single-player campaign is relatively short and feels partly like a tutorial for the multiplayer. The multiplayer itself is fun but thin, with only a couple of modes and a small roster of maps, so it can feel repetitive after a while. Recent user reviews on Steam have been mixed, with some players enjoying the combat and others pointing out technical issues or a dwindling online community. Still, if you’ve ever wanted to dogfight in space and dream of piloting your own squadron, Squadrons delivers that core fantasy really well — it just doesn’t have a ton of extra stuff to keep you hooked forever. This game is a bit unfinished and they couldve done more but still this game is a 3/10 cause controls suck.

Played this on ps4/ps5 / and pc it took me a while to connect everything FOR VR Mode . I had to buy a whole different wiring to connect it to the PC. Eventually, everything connected! They should really update this game . It’s amazing ! The thrill of VR ON PSVR 2 . Graphic are amazing ! I recommend this game 100% VR and no VR
Wish it was more in depth like the older Xwing/TIE FIghter games on PC only, but this is a decent compromise of console controls and more indepth controls on the pc. Graphics are crazy. Set in the OG trilogy era. Gamepad controls are pretty decent. Wish it had a mission editor and more single player missions and stuff. I understand what is here is only maybe 10 hours at best for the story content. Game on sale for 4 dollars is completely worth it though. Thanks for the effort anyway. For anyone wondering to get this game on a sale, its worth it. Similiar to Ace Combat is the best I could say.

Not sure why this game got such a bad reputation. The game is fun in VR. I played it with Keyboard and Mouse. If you love Star Wars universe then you will like this game. Controls are the only thing I could be a bit negative on however you learn to adapt. I say get it.
Hours of trying to get Quest 2 PCVR to work properly in every possible configuration minus Virtual Desktop and I gave up... It refused to render in proper VR mode, instead displaying as a flat window. What a waste of time. But for $4 it's hard to pass up as it is still a very serviceable experience playing normally.. THE SOLUTION was linking the headset with Meta Link and then launching the Steam Link app in the Quest 2 and then launching the game from there. THAT was what got it to launch in proper VR mode. For a game that was supposed to natively support VR, it is a stupidly convoluted process to get the game playing in VR mode. That being said, I have every setting maxed out and it still doesn't look as good as some videos others have captured and I can't figure out why.
