STAR WARS™ Republic Commando™

This game came out in 2005, that's over 10+ years ago, yet, to this day, it is the second HIGHEST rated Star Wars game on Steam. It takes second to only Star Wars: Jedi Academy. This era of games from 2000 to 2010 are some of the BEST games from the Star Wars franchise. This game is not only intense, but it is so fun, with scary moments and intense enemies. This game holds the top 3 for YEARS, and there's a genuine reason why. If you haven't played this game, buy it. You will not regret it. Now beware, because it is an older game, to be able to play on modern computers there will be some hitches. The community obviously has fixes to these, like graphic settings resetting on launch etc. But don't let it stop you from experiencing this masterpiece.

Sev and Scorch are still alive; change my mind

Very innovative and fun squad combat, especially for 2005. Also, very fun having Scorch be a spiritual successor to Kaiden from Mass Effect with the same voice actor!

good game, good brothers, star wars

Very good game. It's age does show itself from time to time but if you have yet to play this then I highly recommend it. Overall, everything about this game is great, from the story to the gameplay to the squad mechanics, so on and so forth. Your squad isn't useless, and it's genuinely fun to command them around, it adds an interesting gameplay layer that doesn't feel like a tacked-on afterthought and it makes me want more games like this. I wouldn't recommend using a controller for this release of the game though, and mouse sensitivity is a problem. I put my mouse sensitivity on 1 and it was only too fast in the menus and not the game itself. Do keep in mind this is a game from 2005 that, to my knowledge, hasn't received any updates, running on modern operating systems. That being said, mouse sensitivity was the only issue I had, and this version of the game wasn't designed for controllers to begin with. Your mileage with issues may vary. I played on my CRT monitor considering the age of the game and therefore had no resolution issues. This game doesn't support modern resolutions, and will stretch in unmodded widescreen, so I recommend downloading a mod to fix that if you're playing on a modern screen. Definitely play this if it interests you, you won't regret it.
