Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.71/day in the week to Sep 12 → 1.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Loved this on Xbox, really pleased to be able to play it again. It didn't get much fanfare as I recall, I found it later when I finished KOTOR and KOTOR 2 but wanted more Star Wars and bought every console game I could find. I suppose it isn't surprising that they didn't want to compete with Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6 for this kind of single-player squad-based FPS back in that era. Having said that, Republic Commando really deserves more attention as a concept and could have been a great series. It has a nice story that clips along at a good pace. The action is relatively simplistic but satisfying. Unfortunately it is a very short game and, despite some nice arenas and situations for major battles, it does suffer somewhat from repetitive "sci-fi corridor" syndrome to a modern eye (I think we had lower expectations back in 2005). The squad controls aren't complex but still make you feel like you're strategising. Each squad member notionally each has a specialism but this doesn't come across especially strongly in the way it plays. You're mostly all just assault rifling your way through sci-fi corridors unless there is a cover point that provides an opportunity for specialist support. The AI was advanced for the time and is capable of taking action on its own, based on the situation: e.g. healing itself or others, assaulting, and taking cover. This means you get a good mix of action and command and don't feel like you have to puppet all the team. Even now, the AI still feels impressive. Amazingly, the squad has dialogue that is genuinely quite fun and their repeated flavour quips during the action don't come up so often as to get annoying. The primary negative aspect of the Steam version is that it is the old PC version of the game and so does not have controller input. It is possible to change the Steam settings so that controller will work as an input, but it is essentially unplayable. It would have been nice for the game to receive some kind of attention in this regard.
REMAKE PLEASE !!!!
I think im too old for that game. Its just too fast for me and i even had to turn the difficulty down to easy, which i never do. Also it runs really bad on a modern system, the mouse sensitivity is from hell. I hope it gets a remake.
This is the best game to play to feel like you're living out the Clone Wars! A shame it's not canon but I believe it can be canonised.
The music in this game is so good especially the intro, The gameplay is solid though there will be a few bugs like your teammates getting stuck on objects but overall it's an enjoyable experience. This game deserves a sequel.
English Version (french below) What a wasted potential... Ok, so, the game is really great, the gameplay of being the leader of a small elite squad is just totally awesome and the story is rather cool, with some memorables moments. But why in the world is the campaign not coop ??? That would've been the Halo equivalent of Star Wars and it always seemed so obvious to me, I simply don't get it. Apart from this criminal mistake, the game is very nice, you give instructions to your teammates, it can be a bit hard but never completely stupid, and the ost / ambiance is really good, it gives a very unique vibe. If you like Star Wars, and even if you don't honestly, it's short and it's fun Version Française : Quel potentiel gâché...
