Star Wars Outlaws

It follows the typical Ubisoft open-world formula, but the Star Wars atmosphere and world design are excellent, maybe even the best so far. The story is decent, but if you are a Star Wars fan, I would definitely recommend giving this game a try. Exploring different planets and traveling through space is a lot of fun, especially when searching for loot and lore pieces. The graphics look great, although performance is not the best. I am aware of the game’s technical and gameplay issues at launch. It had a rough start, but it has improved a lot and is now a really good experience. It is especially fun to explore the “outlaw” side of Star Wars. Ever wondered what it feels like to step into Han Solo’s shoes?

I was very pleasantly surprised by this game. It has such a unique charm that you just don't get in other games. That does not excuse the horrible state it was released in, but at least it was updated and turned into a game that more so matched the vision they conveyed during its marketing cycle. What this game does get right is the "Star Wars-iness" any fan of the franchise could ask for without relying on the Jedi. The gameplay is solid. It's pretty simple and straight forward, but has a lot of depth with the expert skills. It's one of those games where you really don't need to use any of the skills to get through the game, BUT you will have a more enriched experience if you do. I don't really like this, I wish they were more confident in the systems and made it necessary to use all the tools in your belt. It's better than if there were no skills, but it does kind of make them frivolous without direct player initiative. The story is a very cliche "gather the team to do a heist for one last big job" type. It is very paint by the numbers, but where this game succeeds is in the characters. While Kay is not the deepest of characters, there is some good development as she goes from a sort of awkward cocky thief to a more established career criminal. Her dynamics with Nix and ND-5 are of particular note and I found myself very invested in thier little conversations and how they slowly warm up to each other over the duration of the game. The gameplay loop can get very repetitive because the contracts system is unlimited and copy paste. However, you can very easily break that monotony by cycling contracts, treasure hunts, and main quests at a steady pace throughout the game. The game does not do the best job at pacing these things and will kind of pile a ton of quests on you if you let it. That is a design issue, but not game ruining. This game does have a few bugs that seem persistent. Not very excusable especially after the updates. Sometimes quest triggers will not appear and requires reloading. Sometimes interaction triggers will appear that aren't supposed to and can cause some confusion especially when some of the quests are very specific about what you need to do. There are some visual glitches such as black clothing flickering white in certain lighting, very immersion breaking. I have also seen some players have rare, but still possible game breaking soft locks that requires a later save, or a complete restart to fix it. I did not have this issue and I was able to run the game at max settings with very few problems. Most of the time this game is gorgeous. All in all its a very solid 7.5/10 for me. If the game was less buggy it'd be an easy 8. I think the technical aspects, a pretty formulaic and lack luster story mixed with some weak game design decisions and repetition hold this game back from being one of the greats.

For More than a year i held back on buying this cuz of the reviews posted here of absolute losers. If you dont give them a male protagonist (or overtly sexist themes with female characters) they will nitpick a game to hell. Its shameless behavior. Compare the things they are complaining about here with other games like MSG, RDR, Crimson Desert, Witcher, GOW, GTA, older AC and FC titles. etc etc, these problems exist all games due to physics limitations but you wont hear complains about it. This is an over-hated, solid game with beautiful environments and attention to detail, melee combat is not a strong point for this game but combat itself is Not weak by any means. There is nothing disappointing about this game that warrants a negative review, or a less than average review. Many gamer's ethics revolve around themes that are either racist or sexist or both. That is not the game's problem. Ubislop is a minus because it keeps giving me launch errors time and again.

Bounced off this one near release for gameplay reasons. Heard it got patched up and checked it out again and I love it. The vibes are great and the characters are fun. Love exploring and shooting storm troopers.

I will be straight to few points. 1-I try on game pass and got so much frozen time that i wasn't sure to want spend money on this game. 2- i like the game and enjoy to play so i bought it on a good discount knowing i might not be ablle to enjoy fully the game. 3- after few moment of frustration i get to few tips for other players in the same situation. 3a- do not die or might froze. 3b- do not skip when going in space or might froze. 3c- take the time to travel instead of fast traveling or might froze or take so long on loading page ,you better to take time to get there at least you play. 4d- make few break when traveling on speeder and load te map will help the graphic to catch up or you might die and came to 3a... 4- Be patient and and have a snack or a smoke some time. Overall i like the game so i chalenge myself all this point to try to see the end......

It got some, I think, unnecessary flak upon release. This is a great exploration game in the Star Wars universe. I'm having a blast with it.
