About
Hop into the driver's seat of your rocket-powered big rig as you haul cargo, scavenge for salvage and interact with an eclectic cast of star-hopping truckers in this Americana-infused journey on the ultimate open road - space!

Hi, this is Monster and Monster. Star Trucker is our tiny indie team's passion project, and we’re committed to making it the best intergalactic trucking game we can. By listening to the community, we’re working hard to improve the experience with every update. So buckle up and join us for the long haul!

Your truck is not a starship. We’ve taken typical vehicular controls then made sure zero-g momentum played a big part in maneuvers. The result is a unique driving experience that’s easy to pick up yet hard to master!
Cruise the hyper highways, taking on a variety of jobs such as fuel hungry long hauls and hazardous drop-offs to earn cash and unlock new content.
And don't forget to monitor the CB radio for chatter from fellow truckers; it's a fantastic way to uncover side gigs and stay updated on galactic gossip.

Keeping your rig runnin’ isn’t always easy. You’ll need to keep your core systems online, gravity compensator spinnin’ and hull patched to prevent your cab from leaking lung juice.
Be sure to make pre-trip shop stops for replacement parts, and consider upgrading your truck at a local garage. These improvements are vital for safely navigating volatile sectors and ensuring timely deliveries.

Use the galactic map to plan your journey and warp jumps, while keeping an eye on your fuel reserves and power levels.
Once your route is set, kick back, crank up the cab hi-fi and cruise to a selection of original songs covering starburst blues, galactic rock and asteroid infused americana. The open road is waiting!

This could be such an amazing game. Chill trucking vibes in space. I love the premise. There are just a few little ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that utterly spoil this otherwise amazing game for me. And it's general lack of consideration for the players time, or simply the game mechanics working in such a way that it just takes longer than it should to do something. First - Gravity. ♥♥♥♥ that ♥♥♥♥. Your gravity generator breaks all the time. Either battery is dead or the UUC is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ (even the heavy duty ones only seem to last for around 30 - 40 minutes) Now, by and large, this wouldn't be that huge an issue, but every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time it happens, your storage crates float ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ everywhere. It's a ridiculous mechanic that force you to STOP space trucking to replace a part and then re-stack all your crates back on the shelves. I hate it. Having gravity off in general doesn't work either because obviously your crates still fly everywhere and obstruct your view. It's a shame as there is a simple fix. Either storage shelf doors, or ratchet straps. Your in space, free floating items like that is dangerous. I find it glaringly obvious that these space truckers would secure their cargo to avoid such dangerous problems GIVE US WAYS TO STRAP THE CRATES DOWN. If items aren't in crates or your stash, fine, let em float. But please for the love of god, let me secure the damn crates. Second - Salvage. A great addition, and great way to make money, but once again the mechanic is ruined by lack of consideration and lack of respect for the players time. Salvaging consists of the following: >grab the item >fly back to the air lock >Enter the air lock >open the air lock and enter your cab >put the item down somewhere >Enter the airlock from the cab >shut the door >eject from the air lock >grab the next item and repeat. This can be improved, slightly, by taking a crate out, or hope there is one in the salvage and putting all the small items in them. This way you can obtain 3 or 4 items in a single trip. For the larger items, well, tough, spend far longer than neccesary to collect them I guess, because your space-man is too dumb to consider putting the items in the airlock, in one go, from the outside. This make salvaging take far longer than it needs to and is the primary reason I ignore salvage. I just can't be arsed pissing around to get it! This one could be fixed by allowing items to enter the air lock from outside your cab. OR. You could have a salvage opening. Sort of like a drawer that opens from inside the cab allowing access to the items in it, as well as being reachable from outside. This way, you could put items in the salvage lock from outside and then close it. head back inside and boom. Salvage collected in a single trip. Other than this, the game in general is fun to play. the actual space trucking part is relatively chill and relaxing. I enjoy playing the game, but then I see salvage and think "ohh, such a shame the salvaging mechanic is trash, otherwise I'd go and look at that and see what there is." Or, my gravity fails and my crates float everywhere and I once again think "ahh yes, more menial stuff to waste my time. Silly me thinking I'm playing a space trucking game. Turns out I'm actually just playing time-wasting simulator." Overall, I'd go for a 6 / 10. I enjoy playing, but after an hour or so, I'm once again sick of the stupid gravity and floaty crates and annoyed that salvaging takes too long. Then I put the game down and maybe return to it in a month or 5. I don't know if the game is still actively being updated, been a LOOOON time since I last played. I can only hope the Devs fix the salvaging and allow us to secure things in the cab. (crates could even be equipped with mag-locks, magnetising them to the shelving units)

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Very cool idea. Controls well with HOTAS which is why I got it and tried to get into it. It jut doesn't perform that well and there are too many loading screens when it compares to other space games. I thought I would like this but I think I would rather be a space trucker in Rebell Space Outlaws or Elite Dangerous
Посреди огней вечерних и гудков машин Мчится тихий огонёк моей души
Here's the thing, this game has a lot of potential, and is already got some really good ideas, but some things need to be addressed, Number one is less warp gates, not saying they should remove them, but systems should be bigger and not just going from warp gate to warp gate. More distance between warp gates along with a different challenge in each system as opposed to each sector. Bermuda Point and Hell's pocket are perfect examples of this, big shortcuts, long distance between warp gates, and you have to go through a debris field in the middle of it or though a near constant solar storm. This is what other systems should be. Many other of the systems are repeats of a formula, though it works, it could be better. Again, systems should have individual modifiers instead of the entire sector to give each system it's own personality, help it stand out, and make planning out trips much more interesting. Hopefully more modifiers like ice, magnetic anomalies , and other things, but I'm sure that will be expanded on in the future, as it's one of the games defining features. Finally are the roads themselves, in many maps they are way to lack luster in my opinion, too much vertical movement, unless you have visited each system 5+ times you don't know where they lead because signs only have one label and there is only one or two signs, and some warp gates don't have roads, which leads to not being sure if you should straight shot it and hitting a rock, or waste your time going down a road that doesn't lead to where you want it. Changing the signs to tell you all the places it leads would really help along with expanding them, or adding some extra pieces to them to make them better there is In short, more distance between warp gates, more anomalies, better roads, and more individuality between systems. Number two is UI and the truck itself, some things on the truck could work a lot better, the monitors are the biggest offenders of this. Unless you modify your field of view, viewing these screens are a pain, and there is a lot of stuff on them that should always be in view but you can't . Also it is really hard to see in front of you when you have to look through the front camera on the tiny screen when you have to close shutter when going through the sun sector, which I get is the point but it just makes it frustrating. Maybe being able to expand the screen larger or over your screen would fix this, but I'm just pointing it out. Also there is a lot of complaints about the lack vertical thrusters, while it is annoying without them, it adds to the bulkiness and awkwardness of driving a truck (if that makes sense), it really doesn't affect anything that much, and I don't mind them not being there. Along with that, The view from first person is not ideal, in first person it is really hard to see much in this game, especially in this game where there is a lot of vertical movement where the window is meant for horizontal movement, i.e. if there is a truck beneath you and you are in first person you will never see it until it hits you. Third person also suffers since you have no UI when in third person and unless you have the crazy controllers you can't press anything either. This means you are switching from first person to look at systems and press buttons, then moving to third person to see everything so you don't crash into anything. Third is the missions and the trailers, the story mode is pretty cool, though after a while it turns into kind of a slog, and you don't get paid for them either, and I'm sorry, but the end mission was reaaaallly underwhelming. It just makes the missions a bit harder to get through. Along with being unable to attach multiple trailers together to complete multiple missions at the same time, (though it would be hard to do since you now can jackknife in all directions now and you can't control the trailer), but besides that it would be a large benefit to those who could do it, and add more complexity to planning trips. More options should be available as well, as you can get stuck with missions that all will expire before you can finish the job. While browsing some of the other comments I also found a comment from ColdArs 🇺🇦 who brought up some other great ideas in my opinion that could help the cycle of this game (just wanted to help spread some other good ideas) Anyways, they said - "I don’t think you should have to dock to get jobs. You should use a tablet or something like that. In Euro Truck Simulator, you open the menu and go to “Jobs,” and the list appears, along with filters for job types, distance, etc. *It could be on the TAB key Going to the stores should be like it is at airports; instead of docking from behind, it could be something that attaches to the side (like a suction cup) or doesn’t attach at all—you just stop in front of it and a boarding bridge comes out, and it attaches to the hatch. *It's funny that you don't need anything to refuel, you just have to drive into the area. " Other than that I think that covers everything I would hope to be addressed in the future. Other than that everything else in this game is near perfect and I love it, the visuals and art style is amazing and the world building is really good as well. The reason I brought up all the problems with this game is because I love it so much and I want it to succeed, this game has so so much potential and I want to see what the devs do with it. Other than that I would still recommend this game even with these problems, the game is really good, but it has the potential to be so much better if these issues are addressed (In my opinion). Hope this helps everyone
Wirklich schade!
I've been playing Star Trucker across multiple systems over several months. I love the game when it works. But there is a serious, reproducible, unfixed bug that has made it unplayable for me every single time, and I'm writing because the data here is too consistent to ignore. The bug: Star Trucker runs fine for a few hours on a fresh launch — locked 60fps, utilization under 80% across all hardware. After one or more sessions, performance permanently degrades. FPS drops to under 45 with constant frame skips and stutters. GPU, CPU, and individual core utilization all collapse to 30% or below — the hardware isn't being pushed, it's stalling. The game is waiting on something it can no longer access properly. The only resolution is abandoning the game entirely for weeks. I have reproduced this identically across three different systems: - i7-920, 24GB 6-channel DDR3, GTX 1060 6GB primary + GTX 1650 Super secondary - Xeon E3-1270 v3 / i7-4770s, 16GB DDR3, GTX 1060 6GB / GTX 1080 - i7-8700, 16GB DDR4, GTX 1080 FTW Three different CPU generations. Three different GPU configurations. Different RAM, different storage, different Windows installs. Same exact bug every time. I have also seen players with RTX 3080s, 4090s, and Ryzen 9 systems report the same behavior. This is not a hardware issue. This is something accumulating inside the game across sessions — a resource that isn't being properly released or reset. I have exhausted every reasonable fix: file verification, full reinstalls, driver wipes and reinstalls via DDU, in-game settings adjustments, system-level optimizations, waiting for patches. Nothing has ever resolved it. I'm requesting a refund at this point. But I'm writing this because I genuinely want this game to be fixed — the core gameplay is great and it deserves to actually work. If you address this bug, I'll come back. Right now I can't recommend it to anyone.
This game has so much potential! But I wouldn't recommend it, not now. Star Trucker is a very interesting game, and one that I find interesting, but it feels quite dead to me. The system's are quite small and the loop of going from warp gate to warp gate is quite interesting. I also found myself confused with where to go at times, and think a HUD navigation system would be a good idea. A thing I particularly did not like is the movement. I found the control scheme to be ok, but everything feels much too drifty, and yes thats space! But other games have done this much better and I am not a fan of the way Star Trucker has implemented movement. I like the idea of having to manage all the different systems in the truck, but I really do dislike the power cell system. I dont think a truck would have separate power cells connected to each system, I think they would be connected to a singular power source. Ignoring that, I dont understand why you can't charge power cells! I spent 10 minutes trying to figure out how, only to find out online that you have to buy them, which is weird to me. A little note is that, I like the idea of warp gates, but they feel far too inconsequential. They are dotted around everywhere and again, systems are far too small. I also wish they were longer! I wanted to go around my ship to change around some power cells, maybe even doing some maintenance would be cool while warping, but warping only takes a few seconds. Just doesn't feel right to me. (The collisions also felt quite odd) This game does have a lot of potential, but as it is now, I found it frustrating and repetitive. I really wish I could say otherwise.
This game has cracking visuals and immersive management mechanics but falls short as a true "space trucker". As lots have already pointed out, so much of the game is spent in warp. Of course space is big, but games like Elite Dangerous is far bigger but you're not spending so much time in a loading screen. The ability to travel within systems would make things more fun. There's also the lack of lateral controls. How on earth do you release a spacecraft simulator without the ability to move your ship along the Y axis? It just adds extra challenge for no good reason. The story is pretty boring too. Lastly, I'm just not a fan of the design/style. The game's assets looks straight of Futurama or maybe a toy box with Earth-like trucks, gas stations, and highway signage floating in space. I had hoped for something more like Cowboy Bebop with more imaginative designs, especially the "trucks".
I picked this game after finishing Outer Wilds because I had been yearning for more games with space flight and this sounded cute/charming and low stakes. I ended up having a lot of fun with the game even though I wouldn't say it quite scratched the itch I was hoping it would- Star Trucker feels more like a game about truck driving in space than it does space flight with trucks, if that makes any sense. That said, I loved the sci-fi truck driving simulator aspects of it all. Managing resources and the mechanical aspects of your truck against the costs of operating and general wear and tear of space travel feeds the specific kind of brain worm that thinks managing my own finances isn't stressful enough to be having fun yet and I need to be under threat of asphyxiating in space, That stress mellows out as you progress and gain access to more lucrative jobs and ways of making money but the management aspect is always there. As for downsides- the gameplay gets a bit repetitive and is lacking in content once you finish the story. You get around space by traveling through small bite sized sectors and taking a warp gate to load a new sector in and the result is making Space feel a lot more restrictive than I'd like. And if you're doing any kind of long haul then the process and jumping through a warp gate happens so often you get real sick of it. The individual sectors are all really nice but I wish there was too them than a pretty skybox to fly around in while bumping into space debris. You also have an inside cabin to walk around and manage smaller cargo and travel supplies and I wish more was done with this. It lacks customization to make it feel like "yours" and I generally just wish there was more to do inside your truck. Regardless, I enjoyed it and if they ever make a sequel then I hope they flesh the gameplay out more,
