About
Hop into the driver's seat of your rocket-powered big rig as you haul cargo, scavenge for salvage and interact with an eclectic cast of star-hopping truckers in this Americana-infused journey on the ultimate open road - space!

Hi, this is Monster and Monster. Star Trucker is our tiny indie team's passion project, and we’re committed to making it the best intergalactic trucking game we can. By listening to the community, we’re working hard to improve the experience with every update. So buckle up and join us for the long haul!

Your truck is not a starship. We’ve taken typical vehicular controls then made sure zero-g momentum played a big part in maneuvers. The result is a unique driving experience that’s easy to pick up yet hard to master!
Cruise the hyper highways, taking on a variety of jobs such as fuel hungry long hauls and hazardous drop-offs to earn cash and unlock new content.
And don't forget to monitor the CB radio for chatter from fellow truckers; it's a fantastic way to uncover side gigs and stay updated on galactic gossip.

Keeping your rig runnin’ isn’t always easy. You’ll need to keep your core systems online, gravity compensator spinnin’ and hull patched to prevent your cab from leaking lung juice.
Be sure to make pre-trip shop stops for replacement parts, and consider upgrading your truck at a local garage. These improvements are vital for safely navigating volatile sectors and ensuring timely deliveries.

Use the galactic map to plan your journey and warp jumps, while keeping an eye on your fuel reserves and power levels.
Once your route is set, kick back, crank up the cab hi-fi and cruise to a selection of original songs covering starburst blues, galactic rock and asteroid infused americana. The open road is waiting!

This game is causing me internal comflicts...... I love the setting, the world created, the feel of flying the rig, the ability to walk around and really get a cozy feeling of your own vehicle and of course the ambience created...... but... There is that "but" i wish wasn't there. I get the idea of energy cells powering your vehicle and the need to replace them once in a while. But combine that with the air filters and the chipsets and suddenly you realise 90% of the money you make each trip is only good for parts to keep the vehicle going. The potential of this game is there, it really is. But for now it is quite limited by the possibilities. Idea's i was having while cruising the lanes.... "It would be cool to start a transport company ingame and hire your own drivers" "How cool would it be to set-up your own production chains" (although i truly know it is meant as a transporting game) "I would love other truck types to choose from" (or to buy) These are just some thoughts of course and who knows?...Perhaps it could arrive some day. I WANT to love this game....but for now i can't just yet. This of course is just my humble opinion and i actually suggest every transport loving gamer will try for him- or herself.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The game is cool. The concept is cool. Execution is acceptable. The music is *horrible.* So, I play silently. The skybox is also *terrible.* Like... Everything so far seems to be in clouds. It's very sad. Now then, this game isn't a "trucker" sim. It's a parkin sim. It would be more enjoyable, for me, if I could have an up and down thruster? Why don't we? It's a 3d space? I do NOT recommend this game for casuals. I DO recommend this game if you're really into backing up. (My brother is, so they exist) Game gets a thumbs up overall to support the devs.
It's like fun for one mission or two, then it's... just the same. It tries to be Euro Truck Simulator in space, but it's just... sluggish and boring.
After playing for a while i realized the truck you have is the only truck you'll get and that's really disappointing. Also for being in space there's no lateral thrust... What?? So when you go into manual thruster mode you cant move laterally. I got the game for 50% off and I still feel like I want my money back the game is cool and all but is missing a lot of content
I am 45 hours in and switched my steam name to Star Trucker lol. I have been gaming since the 90s, this is one of the best games I have ever played. A perfect blend of cozy and survival intensity. The visuals are absolutely stunning, I find myself sometimes taking more photos than actually playing. Everything about this game is just so epic from the switches in the truck being all fully functional to learning how all the systems work, to studying how I can make money, what routes to take, do I have enough fuel and batteries for the trip? its got a wicked game play loop that gets my brain in this perfect flow state. YES BUY IT! fight through the start where the ship is falling apart and you don't know what's going on, read the manual, meet the in game NPCs, explore an awesome sand box galaxy with narrative play and rpg elements, its quite literally the perfect game.
Star Trucker
Star Trucker is a very niche indie game developed by the two-man team of Monster and Monster, and published by Raw Fury. It is, in the most literal sense, a video game about space trucking. Star Trucker takes inspiration from the trucking craze of the 1970s, sticks it in space, and adds some survival elements along with a story to keep you busy beyond hauling freight from point A to B. Star Trucker, of course, has all of the features you might come to expect out of a trucking sim. Various types of cargo to haul, repairs and refueling, unlockable skills and customizations, and upgrades to enhance the performance and efficiency of your truck. This game has all of the ingredients to be just another trucking simulator, but Monster and Monster has taken things one step further. Unlike many other trucking sims, Star Trucker doesn't start out by immediately having you haul something. That would be too obvious. Instead, the game starts out with you broken down with an air leak. The first thing you are tasked to do is to get out of the driver's seat, don your space suit, go out, and repair your truck. Right away, the player knows this isn't just another space trucking simulator. This is something different. It tells the player there's survival elements in this game, and by extension, an element of risk. This risk extends beyond the occasional air leak that can prop up here and there. It's in the multiple systems you have to monitor with your truck. Things like batteries and air filters that degrade over time are things you will have to replace. Fortunately, these things can be purchased at the various shops in the game, or even salvaged from wrecks that you may stumble upon. There are also harsh environmental factors as well. Star Trucker will challenge you as a driver / pilot as you navigate through blistering and blinding solar flares, electrical storms that can damage the electronics in your truck if you linger in them for too long, and even anomalies that like to sneak up on the unsuspecting player. There are a few star systems out of the thirty-two that are just a long, one way, highly challenging route that will test your piloting skills as you traverse through them from end to end. Star Trucker is a challenging game. Not just from the drives, but from managing your money and resources to keep your systems from failing on you. It took me quite awhile to get comfortably ahead of my systems with extra batteries and filters before I even thought about upgrading my trucks performance and cosmetics. This burden is eased as you gain more levels and allocate skill points into skills that unlock higher paying loads, but it takes time to get to that point. Even in the normal difficulty, Star Trucker doesn't just give things away. You have to, literally, work for them. Fortunately, there are ways you can earn money beyond hauling freight. The salvage wrecks I mentioned earlier may have goods that you can sell at a station for a high price. Star Trucker also has a decent story for you to progress through, which is adventurous and interesting at times, and a bit silly at others. It is certainly tailored towards those who have a thing for trucking, so unless you've watched films like Convoy or Smokey and the Bandit, this story may not hook you in right away. There are a few NPCs that you will interact with as you progress through the story. They all have dialogue and voices acting, and you'll be able to reply to them using the game's CB. If you've played Firewatch at all, the CB system in Star Trucker is similar to Firewatch's walkie-talkies. You, the player, will have different reply options, but they don't really seem to alter the story in anyway beyond a different response from the NPC you are talking to. The visuals themselves are some of the best I've seen in a video game in a long time. Every star system has a very nice artistic style and layout that is absolutely beautiful to behold. Sure, it's certainly not realistic to what space actually looks like, but at the very least, it's very pretty and brings a layer of wonderment to your playthrough. The sounds themselves are great, and the music is custom tailored for the game. Listening to the in-game radio is a treat, and a few of the fifteen songs the radio has to offer are absolute bangers! Like every other game, Star Trucker isn't without its flaws. When salvaging, I've noticed that some of the items I'm holding will clip through my space suit. During a venture mission, which is essentially side quests for a little extra money, I had to refuel a small drone. After the refueling was complete, I didn't get to watch the drone fly off. Instead, the screen went black for a moment, and when it came back on, the drone had disappeared, which does take away from the immersion. The pricing for some of the necessary items needed to survive in the game can be quite steep, especially early on, if salvaging isn't too generous to you. On occasion, when I do arrive at a wreck to do some salvaging, some of the items begin to float away from the others at a pace slightly quicker than the space suit can manage, thus leading to lost items and income unless you chase them down with your truck. Star Trucker has seen a few updates since its release in 2024, including an update that brought joystick support for those flight sim enthusiasts that want to immerse themselves in the game as much as possible. VR support, unfortunately, hasn't quite made it to Star Trucker yet. Neither has multiplayer support. Fortunately, Monster and Monster have shown the desire to develop Star Trucker beyond what it was at release, which is a trend I hope to see continue. Star Trucker is a very niche game. If you're not among those who enjoy both space flight sims and old school American trucking, Star Trucker is probably going to be a pretty hard sell for you. It's great at what it does, but there are so many other options out there for survival games, space flight sims, or trucking sims. Star Trucker does offer a very unique and special experience. At the end of the day, if you want an indie game that's not in early access, one that you don't have to buy an excessive amount of DLCs just to unlock every location, and one that's developed by a small team with a clear passion and a resolve to not stray from their vision, Star Trucker is certainly something that you should consider.
This could be such an amazing game. Chill trucking vibes in space. I love the premise. There are just a few little ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that utterly spoil this otherwise amazing game for me. And it's general lack of consideration for the players time, or simply the game mechanics working in such a way that it just takes longer than it should to do something. First - Gravity. ♥♥♥♥ that ♥♥♥♥. Your gravity generator breaks all the time. Either battery is dead or the UUC is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ (even the heavy duty ones only seem to last for around 30 - 40 minutes) Now, by and large, this wouldn't be that huge an issue, but every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time it happens, your storage crates float ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ everywhere. It's a ridiculous mechanic that force you to STOP space trucking to replace a part and then re-stack all your crates back on the shelves. I hate it. Having gravity off in general doesn't work either because obviously your crates still fly everywhere and obstruct your view. It's a shame as there is a simple fix. Either storage shelf doors, or ratchet straps. Your in space, free floating items like that is dangerous. I find it glaringly obvious that these space truckers would secure their cargo to avoid such dangerous problems GIVE US WAYS TO STRAP THE CRATES DOWN. If items aren't in crates or your stash, fine, let em float. But please for the love of god, let me secure the damn crates. Second - Salvage. A great addition, and great way to make money, but once again the mechanic is ruined by lack of consideration and lack of respect for the players time. Salvaging consists of the following: >grab the item >fly back to the air lock >Enter the air lock >open the air lock and enter your cab >put the item down somewhere >Enter the airlock from the cab >shut the door >eject from the air lock >grab the next item and repeat. This can be improved, slightly, by taking a crate out, or hope there is one in the salvage and putting all the small items in them. This way you can obtain 3 or 4 items in a single trip. For the larger items, well, tough, spend far longer than neccesary to collect them I guess, because your space-man is too dumb to consider putting the items in the airlock, in one go, from the outside. This make salvaging take far longer than it needs to and is the primary reason I ignore salvage. I just can't be arsed pissing around to get it! This one could be fixed by allowing items to enter the air lock from outside your cab. OR. You could have a salvage opening. Sort of like a drawer that opens from inside the cab allowing access to the items in it, as well as being reachable from outside. This way, you could put items in the salvage lock from outside and then close it. head back inside and boom. Salvage collected in a single trip. Other than this, the game in general is fun to play. the actual space trucking part is relatively chill and relaxing. I enjoy playing the game, but then I see salvage and think "ohh, such a shame the salvaging mechanic is trash, otherwise I'd go and look at that and see what there is." Or, my gravity fails and my crates float everywhere and I once again think "ahh yes, more menial stuff to waste my time. Silly me thinking I'm playing a space trucking game. Turns out I'm actually just playing time-wasting simulator." Overall, I'd go for a 6 / 10. I enjoy playing, but after an hour or so, I'm once again sick of the stupid gravity and floaty crates and annoyed that salvaging takes too long. Then I put the game down and maybe return to it in a month or 5. I don't know if the game is still actively being updated, been a LOOOON time since I last played. I can only hope the Devs fix the salvaging and allow us to secure things in the cab. (crates could even be equipped with mag-locks, magnetising them to the shelving units)
