I'm genuinely surprised by how awesome this remake is. It's beautiful, just perfectly done. Manages to keep the original charm of the game (not least due to the brilliant decision to keep the original sprites) while adding a ton of excellent QoL updates, rebalancing, mechanics tweaks, new content...I don't think I could ask for a better redo of probably my favorite game of all time, one I sunk hundreds and hundreds of hours into as a kid. The only thing I don't feel was an improvement was the redone soundtrack, but they thoughtfully included a toggle to replace with the original.

Probably the best remake I've ever played. Lots of great QoL updates, huge graphics overhaul, audio quality is amazing. Highly recommend.

The character enhancement system is especially impressive, with all the different combinations making it incredibly engaging. I played the Japanese version before and couldn’t understand the story, but now with the Chinese version, I can finally follow all the PAs, and each character is really well-developed. Overall, this remake is definitely worth getting.

A true masterpiece. It's on my list of the greatest games of all time. The only con this game has is that it doesn't have a lot of music tracks. Now, this game has a lot of entries — some are true masterpieces, some are just okay, and some are true garbage. So don't judge the series based on the other games in it
