Turn-based strategy. Dystopian near future. Manage a secret corporation. Pursue immortality, manipulate economies, overthrow governments, colonize the moon, reshape the very nature of life and reality, and obey the demands your own corporate masters. Good depth, ample buffs, research paths, and random events. The Excellent tutorials and early game pacing helped me get started in its more complex bits.
More flash games grown up. It is simple game play, however the theme carries it. So if you can play text games, and liked playing pandemic, you will love this game. However if you are a AAA player, not for you.
One of the greatest games that ever made. I would love to see a new update or something close to that game. Graphics are simple, but the whole concept is a titan!
yes but, can grow tedious in the late game, so much promise, execution just fails in the last dull hour or two of a run
Example situation from my actual game: The board wants you to increase your public opinion, time limit 5 turns. To do that, you need an unlocked "perk" that allows you to convert media influence to public opinion bonuses. To unlock that perk you need corporate authority. To get corporate authority, you need to fulfill the random board quests. Hence, you can't fulfill the quest, and lose board rating (your "hit points", go too low and you will get [strike]shot[/strike] fired), also preventing you from accumulating the needed corporate authority to unlock these perks in the first place. You need to fulfill 3 or 4 quests to gain enough points to unlock one perk. None of these steps has any other way of being achieved, save random events. I couldn't really get into the politics part of the game because I was forced to minmax my income each turn by checking all my products in all countries and relaunching them if their revenue becomes too low. It's almost a spreadsheet simulator. As someone else said in their review: The game is fun while you learn the workings in the tutorials. Playing the game itself is tedious.
i love
Spinnortality is a turn-based management game in which you try to control the world as a company with bribery, black ops and media. You have a choice of different victory options and strategies, so you usually play several rounds. The game system is fun and somewhat addictive. I don't agree with the author that capitalism is evil in itself and that the world can only be saved by introducing an unconditional basic income and collecting lots of taxes. A different future may look bleak in the eyes of the somewhat socialist author, but it doesn't necessarily have to be. In this game, it is only possible to have a girlfriend if you leave your company and do anticapitalist things. Which is a shame, as you are more or less immortal as long as you are in the company. A few more balanced characters would do the game good, but then you may wouldn't be "evil" any more, but just a normal human being, something that a CEO cannot be ;) Dominate their minds, before they dominate you.
Awesome game that is horribly balanced. Late game gets extremely tedious with the frankly stupid RNG events that are just...a bog. A business game that constantly grinds you down in a long-term race against the clock is...certainly an idea. Early game is fun at least?
Solid strategy game
