is it superhot? is it neon white? no, no it is not
If you like CS Surf you'll feel right at home in this game. Except, you'll also be given a glass of milk and cookies. It takes what you love from CS Surf (the... well, surfing, y'know) and adds some quality of life features to it (mainly being able to do it while holding W instead of strafing with A/D) Additionally, it has some other cool gameplay mechanics such as rocket jumping and grappling with a grapple hook. A very enjoyable experience and the levels get more challenging as you progress. (At the time of writing I've not finished the last level because it is genuinely challenging)
cons: - no content other than actual gameplay - some techs are more on rng side - the fact normal & hardcore medals have same time to clear is diabolical - personally not a huge fan of music, took me around 10 hours to turn it off other than that quite a well-made game that hooked my attention to grind it, would recommend
Super Hot and Neon White gameplay and aesthetic with a touch of Dishonored/Deathloop. Easy to pick up and start having fun with right away, while also being challenging enough to keep you engaged. The more you play, the more enjoyable it gets as the already intuitive controls become more second nature. Quick "R" restarts add to the addictive loop, and so do the various solutions you progressively come up with for each level. Highly recommend if you're wanting a shooter-like game that feels quick and snappy while having some fun movement speed.
Tried out the game in beta and found it to be pretty fun. Now that the full game is out, I am looking forward to all the new levels. The controls are pretty smooth and easy to learn especially for someone who uses controller such as myself. Being able to complete levels multiple different ways, using different routes really keeps it fresh and exciting. The game aesthetic is really nice and the soundtrack selection is great. The steam deck compatibility is also great because it allows me to play from the comfort of my bed which is always a bonus. Overall great experience so far.
Amazing game. i spent 17 hours in the demo and am currently 2 hours in to the full game, and this game has fulfilled my expectations. it is pure speedrunning at its finest and will definitely be playing for a lot longer. might update this after beating the game. Edit : after beating the game i can say that i have enjoyed the game even more, lots of fun mechanics and both alternate modes are really fun. cant wait to compete even more.
Got addicted to this game through the demo and have been replaying several levels even if it will just shave off a few milliseconds from my pb. Going for world records although difficult, the community will always help you get times that contest the current world record. The game is heavily inspired by Neon White, so if you enjoy Neon White you will enjoy SPEEDSHOT
very clean and easy speed game. very well refined and organized. highly recommend if you like neon white and are craving something a little different
I put a few hours into this game in the demo and I look forward to fleshing out my experience even more in the full release! The game runs extremely well and I always love a game where you can quickly start the level over immediately. The slow mo and speed boosts from eliminating a certain number of targets in a certain period of time create a very interesting loop of what can I actually hit from where I am to achieve a speed boost, and if I mess up I just press R and try again instantly. Very satisfying to keep retrying levels to shave the time off and figure out what the route for the medals is supposed to be, sometimes picking the right route can be the difference of seconds! Give it a try
Really solid game, movement is really smooth and the surfing so satisfying especially when you're at a high speed, seems to be a decent amount of content too. Would definitely recommend.
