low budget neon white, except instead of sweatily holding w and aiming as precisely as possible for the perfect line there's a big focus on actual movement tech. overall the mechanics are fun, though the levels are quite simple and built with very low speeds in mind so if you figure out how to go fast you just kind of break all of them. the mechanics are also not that deep, though they're just fine for how short the game is and theoretically you can pull of some quite crazy stuff, and what is there makes for some really high inputs/second gameplay when trying to optimise. the game has secret medals that are like actually really hard which is great, as the leaderboards are so empty there's not much other competition. the only real critique I have is that since the mechanics are physics based it makes going for a good time feel pretty random, as you kind of just have to throw attempts at the wall until everything happens to line up perfectly. I'd say totally worth it for the low price, though interestingly the demo contains like 4/5 of the game? or at least did when I played it in next fest?
Overall as an indie game - Good Gameplay - Pretty interesting gameplay. You have to parkour while switching gravity using the glowing orbs. It's easy to describe but hard to master type of games. Speedrunning is the main focus here. I can see people trying to play it again and again to get better time on the leader board. Levels - Some levels are straightforward, some are going to require some thinking and retry. Can tell that the devs spent quite some time in making them. Story - Obviously the story is not the main selling point of the game here. It's there, made me chuckle a few times, lighthearted and comedic tone(ironic considering the setting they have). TLDR - Good speedrunning game. It's on of those where you have to try it first before making an opinion
A pretty fun and challenging game with a unique gravity manipulation mechanic. Has a really steep difficulty curve but once you wrap your mind around the mechanics and timings, you literally can zooooom through the levels at terminal velocity. It really got me hooked to hunt the fastest time in every level. Had a blast!
Had an absolute blat playing this game! Cant recommend this enough
This game is interesting enough for anyone looking for a challenge. Once you understand and get a hang of the mechanics, it's pretty fun to play.
having upgrades that increase speed in a game with an in game leaderboard is a huge turn off for people who want to compete on leaderboard and push themselves as they go along through the game it makes going for the upgrades feel like a chore and makes it unenjoyable
Has some pros and cons. The game can work when you're moving with momentum and flying around levels it can be fun. But the game has some gameplay issues. First, every level has a time limit, and instead of being optional, you need to medal in order to unlock the next level. They should have just had it so you can if you want. The pull and push orbs can be fun but are pretty finicky to use. You have to press jump to move quickly through a blue orb but if youre running and you press it at the wrong time it forces you to jump instead of move quickly through it. Other times the attact orbs won't attract while you use them while flying at a wall or falling down. Other times the repel will push you off to the side instead of up. Theres a low gravity ability you'll sometimes use as well. The main issue is on the last world. The final few levels are horribly designed, adding in instant disappearing objects that vanish after 1 second of putting down an orb OR touching them, meaning you need to be at perfect momentum to use them for a second. It also starts spacing them above and below and further apart, and adding instant death pits on top of it. Because of the finnicky mechanics it becomes a chore in frustration because you have to hit everyone perfectly and keep momentum and move up and down and preserve your abilities perfectly. Its completely opposite of the rest of the game and allows no improvisation. Its all trial and error where you'll get multiple parts right then instant die and take 20 min trying to get back to die again. I gave up because all joy was lost and it seemed solely designed to force constant repetition but with inconsistent game design it wasn't worth it. Theres also no videos of anyone playing the levels because nobody has heard of this game so you can't see the way the game wants you to do it all perfect. Because it fell apart with poor platform and level design at the end it gets a thumb down in the end. If they would have stuck the landing I could have recommended it. 5.5/10
Really good game. So fun to play even though I am a beginner gamer...hehe
Have to say I was excited for the launch of this game since the demo. The new levels are amazing and love the difficulty as well. The movements are polished and the game over all has improved a lot since the demo. Keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!
Really nice game. I am not much of a speed runner but this game made me try hard to beat other player's time. Unique mechanics and overall a game that was made with love and care. The art work is also great. Would recommend 100%.
