Mediocre 3D marble madness with bugs and simple movement, but diverse environments provide occasional fun.
Bardzo dobra gra
It's not a great game. Everything is kinda mediocre, and there is a fair share of bugs, but it has its moments and I still had a lot of fun. I feel like I've been missing out all these years. This is not a puzzle game, which is OK. The buttons add minimal depth; they just move or explode something to let you proceed. Thinking is limited to figuring out where to go, which can be frustrating but sometimes also fun. Movement is also as simple as it gets. But it's all about the environments. There is a lot of variety and many interesting parts that require much attention to the execution.
Old and cheap game so I won't be too harsh on it, but as a fan of marble/ball platformers, figured I'd leave my two cents. Spectraball is rough, even for the time it was released. Graphics and sound are serviceable enough but the lack of textures in each level makes things blend together. Lack of signs, lights, or camera snaps when pressing switches means levels do a poor job of showing where to go or what you activated. Camera also clips through walls a lot especially in loops. Ball lacks a drop shadow which doesn't help positioning yourself in jumps. Levels are huge which I'm sure was great back at release, but there's only six of them. I'd prefer shorter, more numerous levels that are better designed. The last level is a bit better in this regard, but all levels have mediocre at best map design and game can be buggy. Custom level feature is long defunct. If you absolutely want more ball platformer games and want to try this, grab it when it's on sale for like a dollar. Otherwise Spectraball is a relic and there are many better games of this type available.
Old school Marble Madness brought back to life with new quality of life upgrades. This game at least half a dozen levels to master and maneuver through to the end with some additional challenges and bonus games included. The main game has huge levels giving your physics abilities a true challenge. Luckily, your marble comes with some special moves such as the ability to stop on a dime, teleport, double jump and more. You can only choose one perk, but they do help. Beating the levels are not that hard, there is a great checkpoint system, however, beating each level without falling or restarting from a checkpoint is absolutely where it's at if you enjoy a certain level of difficulty. While it's maybe old by today's standard, I feel that this game is still fun. Played it about 10 years ago and just picked it back up for the final achievement. The physics are good, the graphics are decent, and the design of the levels is fantastic. Though a marble in space that still jumps is a bit weird when it comes physics, the rest is still fun and enjoyable. Definitely recommend picking this one up.
