Skyland: Heart of the Mountain

Skyland: Heart of the Mountain средненькая игра по поиску предметов. Сюжет меня не зацепил, анимация прям разочаровала, со звуком иногда возникали проблемы, головоломки не сложные. Единственное что хочется похвалить это графику, локации хорошо прорисованы, все предметы четко видны, НО… есть предметы, которые названы другими словами. Вот попробуй их найди?! Просто выбесила ачивка найти предметы за 20 секунд. Осилила её только с третьей попытки. Или может я одна такая медленная?? Такое ощущение, что игру доделывали второпях и лишь бы быстрее выпустить и не заниматься отшлифовкой до нормального состояния. В целом можете приобрести, если по скидке. А так советовала поискать более доработанную игру, так как эта очень сырая. Оценка 5/10

(Disregard game time. Internet was out. I am NOT that fast at H.O.Gs... XD) Easy McBreezy game. I gave another game series a bit of a criticism for being too simple, but this... I think this makes the other game series look challenging! All the puzzles are basic level. You also know how there are safes in games and you gotta put in codes...? Yeah... This one does it automatically! No need to remember anything! NOPE! Ugh... They make up for it by making the H.O. scenes harder. Aka more messier. Okay fine. But if you do that... What's stopping people from playing on EASY and just randomly clicking... WITHOUT a penalty?! Then... Storyline? Cinematics? Anything? Well for one... You gotta like steampunk. I kept staring at things and I am like "wth is this supposed to be?" Machinery ain't my specialty. Two... There is barely any story. Nothing new, I know. However... I didn't give a sheet about a single damn character! Hell, I didn't even know the MC's sister's name!!! (Also... What was the MC's name in the first place...?) The only names I knew was of a convicted dude and the other dude... "The Seer" isn't a name, but okay. Everyone else I pretty much forgot. Also. Bonus game spoiler I suppose... [spoiler]Who in the hell was that masked guy?! And why in the hell did he have such a quick change of heart?! He could've EASILY sabotaged everything after being set free! WHAT WAS THAT?! [/spoiler] Man... I can't say I was bored and effort does have to go into these, but... This is kid-level easy! And those don't even have the attention span to sit through one of these... Sigh...

[h1] Поиск предметов, где достижение с поиском за 20 секунд заставит попотеть [/h1] Но в целом терпимое приключение, которое затянет уже надолго. Особенно с учётом прохождения основной части с дополнительной главой хватит для выбивания всех карточек. К тому же тут есть заковыристое достижение в поиском на скорость в 20 секунд. Хотя любые подобные цели на время очень сложно одобрить. Лучше бы побольше сделали мозголомных задачек. Многое здесь особо не вызывает затруднений у поклонников подобных игр. Даже радует то, что сам сюжет здесь не особо фентезийный, а больше техногенный в атмосфере паропанка. Но это всё, конечно, баловство и сюжет на какую-то серьёзную проработку не претендует. В остальном все плюшки магазина в наличии. Даже перевод на русский в целом адекватен и вроде бы даже рода не перепутали. Жаль только, что для дополнительной главы не сделали достижений.

I've played a fair share of hidden object games, and as far as I am concerned this one is absolute trash.

Je joue sur Linux. Version Linux : mitigé. [h1]Le jeu[/h1] Le jeu est plutôt court, et bien trop facile dans l'ensemble. Les mini jeux sont ridiculement faciles et j'ai trouvé les scènes d'objets cachés assez mal conçues, il y en a certaines qui demandent par exemple de trouver des pinces, mais il y en a 3 paires dans le décor... on choisit comment ? Sans parler des habituelles traductions moisies. Si je ne me fais plus avoir par "tuyau" qui peut être une pipe, je n'avais encore jamais eu "tuyau" pour un tube (de dentifrice). Evidemment une fois trouvé on comprends pourquoi, mais c'est perturbant. L'histoire est passable, mais téléphonée. On s'attends à la chute pratiquement dès le début, dommage. Les graphismes sont OK, même si j'ai trouvé les scènes d'objets cachés un peu fades comparées à d'autres jeux du genre, et ne profitant pas assez de la thématique steampunk. Les musiques sont oubliables, les doublages sont passables. Dans l'ensemble, je l'ai trouvé bâclé. Certaines interactions, j'ai eu l'impression qu'un mini jeu avait été prévu, mais supprimmé au final pour juste laisser un clic à faire. [h1]Rejouabilité, achievements[/h1] On retrouve ici les habituels achievements des jeux du genre. Un bon point pour le système qui montre s'il y a un collectible non trouvé dans le tableau, ça peut aider... même s'il y en a en gros un par tableau dans lequel on peut interagir, donc c'est le premier truc à faire en découvant une nouvelle zone. Pas de difficulté, à part celui qui demande de trouver tous les objets d'une scène en moins de 20s. C'est vraiment trop court pour arriver à le faire la première fois, et l'achievement ne se déclenche pas quand on tente la scène en passant par le menu bonus, il faut être dans l'histoire. L'idéal reste donc de pratiquer la première scène en boucle jusqu'à tout connaître par coeur, puis faire un deuxième run jusqu'à cette première scène. [h1]En bref[/h1] Pas vraiment mauvais, mais pas terrible non plus. A éviter. [h1]GNU/Linux[/h1] Le jeu crash la plupart du temps au démarrage sur mon système... à relancer en boucle jusqu'à ce que ça fonctionne. Par contre, une fois lancé, plus aucun problème. OS: Linux Mint 21.2, MATE edition. Hardware : 5950x, AMD RX 6900XT, 64GB ram. Screens : Dualscreen, 1x 4K & 1x 1920x1200, un seul screen X.

Ok plot but lot of going back on screens. Many times not clear what need to do next. Lots of puzzles. There is many better games then this but it is still ok.

After playing the excellent King's Heir: Rise to the Throne by developer Cordelia Games, I was eager to play their other game I had in my library. https://store.steampowered.com/app/834390/Kings_Heir_Rise_to_the_Throne/ Skyland isn't as unique as King's Heir and I have to consider it as a standard hidden object adventure game that doesn't distinguish itself. Some things I enjoyed in King's Heir are still here, like working with other characters and an involved plot where something happens on almost every new screen. This version of the steampunk art style works really well. I think I've only played one other steampunk-themed HOAG called Clockwork Tales: Of Glass and Ink. Skyland's voice acting isn't as good as King's Heir, but I'm happy to report that it's still 100x better than Clockwork Tales! https://store.steampowered.com/app/284830/Clockwork_Tales_Of_Glass_and_Ink/ Skyland is a solid HOAG and easy to recommend, but I'm disappointed that it isn't on the same level as King's Heir.
