Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
About
Species: Unknown is a first-person survival horror game, playable in co-op with up to 4 players (private or public servers) or solo. You play as a mercenary sent aboard an abandoned spaceship. Your job? Execute high-risk contracts, make it out alive, and claim your reward. But keep in mind that you’re not alone. Something is hunting you…
Form a squad of up to 4 players to take on different contracts with escalating difficulty. Each mission plays differently depending on your objective, your teammates, the map and which of the 5 intelligent threats is stalking you. No one survives alone, but you can try.

Proximity Chat & Radio are available: distance matters, walls matter. Proximity Chat is bringing more tension, sometimes chaos, and unforgettable moments to your co-op sessions.

Every contract drops you into a different nightmare. Whether you're tasked with extracting a black box, capturing or eliminating an unknown threat, or even destroying the ship to prevent the creature from escaping… Each mission demands a specific strategy and none of them are easy.
The specimen is chosen procedurally from a growing roster of terrifying monsters. Each one comes with distinct behaviors, hunting patterns, strengths, and weaknesses. You’ll need to investigate your surroundings to gather vital clues and identify the threat in order to proceed smoothly (or not). Do your job and get rewarded, or die without anyone knowing.

Strategize as a group, make smart use of your tools that can turn the tide, if only for a moment:
Motion Tracker : Detect nearby movement and prepare for what's coming
Shield : Block deadly attacks and buy time for your team
Health Syringe : Heal yourself or allies in the heat of battle
Mini-Map : Navigate pitch-black corridors with real-time positional data
Guns won’t always save you. Some threats are too resistant or simply untouchable. But the right weapon, found at the right time, can help you push through or even take the creature down.

The higher the risk, the higher the reward. Completing contracts earns you credits you can use to:
Upgrade your gear
Buy new tools
Customize your appearance
Gather lore and build your own creature museum

A fantastic gem of a game, wasn't sure what to suspect when I heard about it but this is such great fun with friends. For those who love immersive survival horror sci fi games you will have a blast with this one. It has been best decribed as the love child of Alien Isolation and Phasmaphobia, and I can 100% see why. Great fun to play especially with friends 8/10 In the future I would love to see them add more players, heavier ship customisation, more weapons and equipment and I would love to see different space stations/ships to explore, would love to see a decommisioned military or mining station/ship. Also would like to see more unique mosters or even different NPC factions that randomly show up during missions like Pirates or Private security that the player has to work around or fight, or lead the monster too. Would like to see new creatures too like maybe a Weeping Angel like one, dinosaur-like creatures that are killable but they are very quick and use pack hunting on you. A spider one that hides in the vents and ambushes you would be freaky or even scenarios where the ship is mostly flooded so you have to find diving gear while dealing with a fish-like creature that hides in the water. Would love to see what the developers cook up next

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 18.86/day in the week to Jul 31 → 19.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Bro, best game
pretty awesome game, cant wait for future updates
Awsome game!!! People that like Dead space and Alien: Isolation would like this game for sure!!
This is an absolutely excellent game with friends. My only complaint is that it has just one map so far - but I think when workshop support is added in the future this game will absolutely blow up.
A game that stands out in a sea of friendslop games because of its amazing presentation. Unlike most of the game in this genre, this one actually give great graphics, competent animations, good soundtrack and very solid gameplay. Most of the entities are fun to investigate and tackle on. Most of them are inspired by iconic 80s and 90s movies creatures while adding just enough to distinguish themself from their inspirations. The procedurally generated mechanics just brings enough variety to brings lots of replay value despite having only one but very well made location ... so far. Overall its a very fun coop action horror game that got lots of value for the asking price.
