About
You’re part of a special ops team. Armed with your bodycam, weapon and a radio, you’re sent into an abandoned zone. The mission: get out alive, together.
But something is hunting you. Silent. Relentless. One wrong move, and it’s over.

Team up with up to three friends in intense co-op gameplay.
You’ll need to stick together, cover each other, and plan every move - or you won’t make it out alive.
Use in-game voice chat to coordinate, but choose your words wisely: the monster hears you.
Panic, split up, or hesitate for even a second and someone won’t come back.

See what your character sees. The entire game is viewed through a shaky, immersive bodycam with no health bars.
The limited field of view and unstable movement create a disturbing sense of realism.
You’re not watching a horror movie.
You’re in one.

Resources are scarce. Every bullet counts. Every medkit is a blessing.
Search abandoned lockers, toolboxes, and rooms for essential supplies: batteries for your flashlight, healing items, ammo, keys, and more.
Inventory is limited. Share with your team or keep it for yourself.

It listens to your footsteps. It tracks your voice. It observes your strategies and adapts.
Every decision matters, and every sound you make brings death one step closer.

From derelict hospitals and underground bunkers to dark forests and empty corridors, every location oozes tension.
Flickering lights. Distant echoes. Breathing in your headset. Footsteps that aren’t yours.

I'm not going to lie, I am NOT a fan of Early Access being the new norm for games. Sure, it allows the dev to get feedback before the game is completed, but these devs released it in a FAR from complete state, with glaring issues that would not require playtesters to inform them about. Performance: Abysmal. Be prepared to have your game stuttering throughout the match, in any match, no matter what. This is what I mean by releasing it in this state, it would take a dev 2 seconds of playing their own game to realize just how badly it runs. So my only conclusion is that they wanted the money NOW instead of waiting longer, optimizing it, and releasing it maybe a few months down the line. This is a harrowing sign of what's to come. It does not invoke the feeling that the devs are truly passionate about their product, more like they want to cash in early on the "promise" that the game will be completed...eventually. AI, or more like the lack of it: The AI you will be facing are dumber than a sack of bricks. The only one that seemed marginally interesting was the Alien, who would travel through vents and react to you getting detected by the security cameras. But what this really meant was if you got spotted by the camera, just expect him to leave through the closest vent to you and run at you in a straight line. The rest of the AI are cookie cutter by design, none of the models for them look original or inspired. There is not unique counterplay to any of them, there is just one mob per map that is invincible and thus becomes an obstacle rather than a threat. The Gameplay: Dear god, this is by far my biggest complaint. The actual objectives you will be given when choosing a map are the laziest, most time consuming and unfun fetch quests you can conceive. "Find 8 fuses" Okay, that's a lot but manageable I guess. I find all 8 after 10 minutes of looking around, what's next? "Find 3 generators and turn them on" Really creative stuff, but whatever, let's do it. Alright, found the last generator, what now? "Use your hacking tool to find the right code on a scientist" there's like 12 dead bodies spread throughout the map, requiring you to backtrack even more and waste time. This is another reason why I do not trust these devs; these quests aren't meant to be fun or engaging, or even make sense, they're meant to take up time. Why would you go with this as your quest design in a game where you're a member of an elite, secret task force team? This kind of design feels like it belongs in a Resident Evil game, but at least in RE, you are constantly needing to avoid/kill threats to get to where you need to go. In this game, it's usually you and your friends checking the same rooms over and over again looking for a button or some other mcguffin to get the game moving forwards, with the very occasional mob to shoot. To me, this seems like they want people to buy the game, give it 2-3 matches to see what it has to offer, but if you play through those matches to completion, you'll likely hit the 2 hour mark and no longer be able to refund. Also, why in the hell are they putting work into a new map and new mechanics instead of working on the AI, guns, and optimization first? Also, the lobby area was a waste of their time. This area adds nothing that a simple menu couldn't do besides getting to flex your gold skin on your Hk to your buddies (which judging by it's price and how many tokens you earn per match, you'd probably have to have played at LEAST 20 hours to unlock). Also, somehow this small lobby area is littered with stuttering and frame drops. Honestly impressive. The Guns, or more like the lack of it (did I already make that joke?): Right now, the only weapon you can choose to carry into a mission is what I believe to be an Hk-416, which sounds and feels like hot garbage. The only other guns are a shotgun and two pistols, which to my knowledge is only accessible if you play the wave defense mode. DO NOT PLAY THE WAVE DEFENSE MODE, THEY COULDN'T EVEN HIDE THE SPAWNS FROM PLAYERS SO YOU LITERALLY WATCH THE ZOMBIES SPAWN IN, BREAKING WHATEVER IMMERSION YOU MAY HAVE HAD. I can tell they were TRYING to emulate Bodycam's shooting, but they missed the mark majorly. The unique style of aiming that Bodycam has where your arms move independently from your camera is so poorly recreated here. This feature works great in Bodycam and really makes it feel more immersive, but in this game it is just an annoying hinderance. Your arms are not fully responsive to your mouse inputs, which can lead to you snapping to the left or right when you don't mean to. Hell, they even sell it as a "bodycam horror" but failed to add any vignetting, lens distortion or visual noise to make it LOOK like it's from a bodycam. The Horror?: If repetitive sound bytes and unity asset models scare you, this is the game for you! The Potential: This is what I see every positive review saying, something along the lines of "This game has so much potential". Sure, it may have potential as a CONCEPT, but the current foundation is lackluster at best. A lot of Early Access games get to a somewhat playable state and release early, and many people buy into these games because they believe in what it could be. On paper, this sounds like a win-win situation. The players get to try the game out early, and the devs get some revenue and feedback to help the development process. Here though, I must say that the game is not even in a true playable state, that's why you see the positive reviews talk about the potential and not what's actually in the game. If I was a developer, I would not want my first impression of my game to be so...ugly. It runs bad, it plays bad, and it sounds bad, the only thing that is promising is the concept, and the way it's being handled right now is not inspiring confidence in this game. Who knows, maybe I'll come back in a few months and sing a different tune, but it will take a lot of work and I hope I'm wrong about the devs being lazy. Whatever happened to games releasing when they're finished?
NO BACKUP - This ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Abomination Raped My Soul and Got Me Committed (0/10, Would Rather ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ a Blender) Listen up, you degenerate cumstains and masochistic wallet-rapists: DO NOT BUY THIS CANCER. I did, and now my family had to drag my foaming-at-the-mouth ass into a psych ward because this solo-dev dumpster fire melted my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ brain into primordial ooze. This isn't a game. It's a digital curse crafted in the pits of hell by one lonely bastard who decided "bodycam horror co-op" meant glitchy slideshows where the monster phases through walls like a horny ghost on bath salts, voice chat turns every squad into a screeching abortion of static and betrayal, and "immersive" means your screen shakes harder than my hands after the 47th rage-quit. We tried playing it "as intended." Whisper coordinates? Monster hears and teleports up your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Stick together? Rubberbanding makes you watch your homie get yeeted into the shadow realm while you clip through the floor. Loot? Scavenge for bullets that don't fire and batteries that die faster than my will to live. Three maps? Three identical piss-soaked corridors of recycled jumpscares that stopped scaring me and started feeling like psychological waterboarding. After nights of this ♥♥♥♥, I lost it. Full unhinged. I'd wake up at 3AM screaming "IT HEARS YOU" at my ceiling, barricading my room with furniture because the adaptive AI was "learning" my patterns through the screen. Hallucinated footsteps in the vents. Whispered to my reflection like it was my last squadmate before the Witch dragged him off. Ate nothing but energy drinks and spite. My wife found me in the basement naked, covered in glowstick fluid, roleplaying a solo extraction while blasting tactical breathing ASMR at full volume. Kids were terrified. Neighbors called the cops. They sectioned me. Psych ward. White walls. No Steam Deck. Group therapy where I ranted about "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ procedural ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and input lag demons" while rocking in the corner. Doctors say it's "acute gaming-induced psychotic break." My wife filed for divorce. My bros won't answer my calls. I'm typing this from a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hospital computer while some nurse thinks I'm "reflecting." NO BACKUP didn't just suck. It ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ my reality, pissed in the wound, and laughed as my life imploded. For $10 you get early access to clinical depression, divorce papers, and a lifetime of night terrors. Solo dev? More like solo war criminal. Fix your buggy abortion or choke on the negative reviews you deserve, you magnificent piece of ♥♥♥♥. Stay the ♥♥♥♥ away. Touch grass, heroin, whatever — just not this. Playtime: Way too many hours in the void Current diagnosis: Terminally tilted. Release me.TL;DR: GAME SO BAD IT INSTITUTIONALIZED ME. 0/10, BURN IT WITH FIRE.
I love the idea behind NO BACKUP. The concept is unique and has a lot of potential, but right now it feels very rough around the edges and can get frustrating. The foundation is there keep polishing, improving the gameplay, and fixing the annoying parts. I’m excited to see where the developers take this because it could become something really special. Also... the biggest enemy right now might be the game itself. 😂
This game has great potential. As excepted as an early access game there are bugs however I personally have not had any that drastically affect the gameplay.
just play scp 5k dude
I bought this game when it very first released. This game has amazing potential but I would not waste my money on it during early access. It’s just super buggy and sometimes the guns don’t do any damage and all the doors are unlocked. JUST TO BUGGY wouldn’t recommend in early access
I think it has a problem with camera control. Both normal view and ADS view, really hard to play while x-axis is too sensitive and y-axis is too dull. This issue gives me motion sickness. Need to rework camera first and this game will be better.
Game is fun but defiantly early in development. Absolute blast. I still need to play a few more matches, but i played one solo. Match lasted a hour or so, mostly due to me missing a few containers i needed to loot in order to progress, but otherwise i feel like you could knock out missions quickly with friends. A few things is the gun movements felt slightly weird, but you get used to it. My main issue is there are some random jumpscares when you are scanning bodies. While they did scare me, they didnt feel good, and they felt cheap. The mosnter was quite scary, and i felt absolute terror the first to or so chases, but after mag dumping it it runs away, and that feels good. I like being able to scare away the bad enemy even if you cant kill it. For $7.99 i definitely recommend this game, and for for $10 its not bad either.
