Species: Unknown is a first-person survival horror game, playable in co-op with up to 4 players (private or public servers) or solo. You play as a mercenary sent aboard an abandoned spaceship. Your job? Execute high-risk contracts, make it out alive, and claim your reward. But keep in mind that you’re not alone. Something is hunting you…
Form a squad of up to 4 players to take on different contracts with escalating difficulty. Each mission plays differently depending on your objective, your teammates, the map and which of the 5 intelligent threats is stalking you. No one survives alone, but you can try.
Proximity Chat & Radio are available: distance matters, walls matter. Proximity Chat is bringing more tension, sometimes chaos, and unforgettable moments to your co-op sessions.
Every contract drops you into a different nightmare. Whether you're tasked with extracting a black box, capturing or eliminating an unknown threat, or even destroying the ship to prevent the creature from escaping… Each mission demands a specific strategy and none of them are easy.
The specimen is chosen procedurally from a growing roster of terrifying monsters. Each one comes with distinct behaviors, hunting patterns, strengths, and weaknesses. You’ll need to investigate your surroundings to gather vital clues and identify the threat in order to proceed smoothly (or not). Do your job and get rewarded, or die without anyone knowing.
Strategize as a group, make smart use of your tools that can turn the tide, if only for a moment:
Motion Tracker : Detect nearby movement and prepare for what's coming
Shield : Block deadly attacks and buy time for your team
Health Syringe : Heal yourself or allies in the heat of battle
Mini-Map : Navigate pitch-black corridors with real-time positional data
Guns won’t always save you. Some threats are too resistant or simply untouchable. But the right weapon, found at the right time, can help you push through or even take the creature down.
The higher the risk, the higher the reward. Completing contracts earns you credits you can use to:

ホラー苦手だけど殴れるなら怖くない！って人におすすめ。（ちなみにホラー苦手です） 基本的に、エイリアンに侵略された船を調査するぞー！って視点のゲームです。 任務は、標本（地球外生命体とかターゲット）のデータを持って帰る/仕留める/捕獲/船ごと爆破するの４種類で、今のところマップは一つ。 超絶理不尽なエイリアンもいるけど、どういう動きをするのかってのが書いてあるので、船の中の残骸や死体の形状でそれを調査し、特定し危険な行動を取らないことで結構回避できる。 それと、探知機はソロではマップを把握してないと絶対持たないほうがいいです。ミニマップはもっといてください・・・。 （袋小路に追い詰められてしにます・・・。） 純粋におもろいゲームだなぁ。と久しぶりに思いましたｗ でも、怖いのでソロではやりませんｗ

мультиплеер не работает. Да, я знаю то что есть соло режим, НО! я человек который любит играть с другими людьми, и как я понял эта игра подразумевается под нескольких игроков, мультиплеер не работает из-за EOS, я что только не делал, смотрел гайды, и т.п. (советы в стиме тоже смотрел, не помогло, тупо папки с EOS нету), так что играть больше не собираюсь, если ВДРУГ у меня всё заработает (не знаю как и когда это произойдёт), то тогда и поменяю отзыв (у кого есть идеи и советы, говорите)
гра дуже цікава, хоч і на сьогодні є тільки одна мапа, але монстри не дають заскучати, грав до цього в lethal company і знаєте, я отриав емоцій більше, ніж від lethal, але кількість контенту поки дає про себе знати, гра на момент написання цього коментаря сказав б на годин 15-20, після чого вірогідно сценарії почнуть повторюватись, дякую що приділили увагу моєму коментарю ! Трохи правлю коментар, гра я б сказав розрахована хоча б на 2-х гравців, адже є місії, які хоч і можна почати в соло, але пройти їх в соло або неможливо, або буде дуже важко і ви вірогідно просто вигорите поки будете це все проходити. Ще раз дякую за увагу !
this game has so much promise but after about 10 hours the fact that it only has one map and 5 monsters really starts to wear thin. please, please more updates. PLEASE.
Excellent co-op horror. The devs keep adding content and the sky's the limit with these guys. It is already really fun to play either solo or with friends, and the potential is immense.

It is a fantastic experience that kept me hooked from start to finish. The atmosphere is immersive, the mystery unfolds at just the right pace, and there’s a constant sense of tension that makes you want to keep exploring. The visuals and sound design work together beautifully to create a genuinely eerie environment, while the gameplay strikes a great balance between challenge and discovery. I can’t wait to see what the developers add in future updates!
