Spacefighter Rukia

I bought this game out of curiosity since it reminded me one of the many classic shoot em up i played on my Commodore 64/Amiga back in the days. The first few minutes of the game may be a bit confusing, but once understood the mechanics it captured me for few hours. It's not a flawless product and, from what i can understand, it's the firts project of this developer to whom i give credit to have tried to capture the spirit of my childhood's favourite old games. The gameplay is pretty the same of a vertical scroller shoot em up with the plus of XP and end stage loot. You can upgrade you ship and buy new weapons (which are randomized in Diablo style), choose different kind of missions and there is a storyline which involves our heroine (Rukia). I won't judge the graphics because, for these kind of games, i don't consider it of importance. For this price i think it deserves a chance and i will wait their next project :)

Great story and very nice game, i'm loving it.

Despite the genre of this game isn't exactly my thing, I was able to enjoy it nontheless. The art direction and style are neat and the game itself reminds me the kind of "Classic games" I used to play at the Arcade when I was a child.

Spacefighter Rukia is best described at a Tyrian/Raptor-like with the twist of random weapons. While it lacks a bit of polish - UI could give more information, writing could use a check by a native English speaker (it's not bad at all, just needs a little love), and the art could be better - the gameplay is very solid and fun. And for the price? Can't beat that. Works fine on the Steam Deck - just need to tweak control settings a bit.

Spacefighter Rukia i a vertical scrolling spacecraft game reminiscent of the legendary 1942. There are different types of missions and by bringing them to an end you can obtain upgrades that allow you to modify the spacecraft as you like. Playability is as good as longevity. Try it!

Ok, the graphic could really use some improvements,the illustrations are well done though but the 2d art is meh,that aside it's relaxing and fun, i've spent a lot of time tinkering with the ships and the loot, there's also an encyclopedia with a colossal amount of lore and descriptions. I found different weapons types, like some kind of unique weapon, while others had different fire modes. I really recommend this game if you want to spend some time without too many worries, or you just want to hoard loot, i've not checked out the end game yet or the new game+. It's a good gem for 4 euros.

Adorabile videogioco a scorrimento verticale. Mi ricorda un tempo ove possedevo dei riflessi e il delirium tremens era meno accentuato. In memoria di quell'epoca aurea, continuerò a giocare questo titolo chiaramente destinato ad un pubblico giovane o meglio conservato.
