Moving on to new game when this isnt even finished... thats just bs
I've only recently started playing, and while my initial review was to recommend, I've encountered too many issues to get fun out of it. It's like Rogue Genesia and Sodaman had a baby, which would be kinda neat, but the balance feels off, the meta upgrades are rather few and expensive, the performance feels stuttery even on easy mode toward the boss, and I never thought I'd need a tutorial in a survivors-like before. I'll come back from time to time to see how the game is doing and will follow its progress, but right now it feels a little too janky.
This is BAD, this game is barely more than an asset-flip, I've seen at least 80% of these enemies, characters, icons etc. in other Chinese developed games. Now I don't mind using assets, truly if you have no time/skills to make models and stuff, then use assets that's fine go ahead! At least they added some red glowy eyes to try and cover up the asset flippage I guess. What I'm not fine with is the HORRENDOUS performance issues, 5 minutes in you will see what I mean and I sorely regret giving this another chance almost a full year after buying. And I've got a pretty strong setup dude, RTX3080Ti and i-7 11.7k 2xOC CPU. And I've capped framerate to 90 at system level! The performance has only gotten worse it seems, after a whole year of additional updates, you gotta be kidding me. The broken english doesn't help either and the exposition dumps of reading 2+ paragraphs in the middle of active combat is a crap addition. I can't see how anyone has enough fun in this to leave a positive review
Okay, here is the thing, its fun, and I want to love it so much, but nothing works. I was picking abilities, and it was giving me different than what I picked. The missions that pop up every wave are actually not able to do most of the time. It will say something like get 5 of blank done, but then it takes 30 seconds to compete, and you only get 2 mins on the match. Literally every part of the game needs work and balance. So I would tell people don't buy it for now. But I will keep an eye on it and revise my review if they update. I dont see enough updates outta this game. It should be getting updates once a week the state its in, but its not.
Just another Unfinished Cash Grab Vamp Survivor like shooter. Underwelhming visuals, Boring skills Boring Gameplay Unbalanced Gameplay Released since 2023, but still in EA... You may skip this even on a sale. Not Missing out much. 3/10
This game has so much potential, but it needs some polishing to get rid of the bugs. I loved this game to begin with, but as you progress and become more powerful it becomes impossible to progress. With powerful weapons the game play stutters so much that it is unplayable. I hope they fix the bugs with this game because I would definitely come back to it if they did. I recommend this if you don't mind an unfinished and glitchy game. It definitely has its appeal and I enjoyed playing it for the majority.

If THIS is early access, "Survivors of the Dawn" will be the next best survivor-like there is. I, honestly, didn't know it was early access when I began playing. And I was surprised, because it already is truely great. + shooting that feels satisfying + builds that are full of variety, like drones, robots, rockets, mines, ... + enemies that look great in an atmospheric environment - it all fits together optically + small chapters of few minutes to survive instead of having to play 30 minutes in one sitting If I could recommend a few developments to the finish: - when there are many enemies and own creatures in play, the framerate sinks and sinks - make the font a bit larger and a bit more readable for players in need of a more accessible game in terms of viewability - like myself And if you add more enemies and environments and even build-possibilities, this game hits the spot!
Great example of the genre. But, I found it pretty simple to complete in one sitting (6?hours) with 83% achievements in that run. That's all characters unlocked and all three maps on Brutal completed. It was a load of fun and for a few quid I'm certainly happy with the game overall. Regarding the poor performance, I agree it had some hideous slow down, until I turned the graphic settings right down. At that point it played without a problem for me.
great gameplay, crashes and performance can be improved. upgrade trees are fun to explore
