Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.29/day in the week to Sep 14 → 5/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Space Engineers 2 is currently a Playable Alpha In Active Development and already lets you begin building, surviving, and colonizing the Almagest System.
You arrive in the distant Almagest System on humanity’s first large-scale colonization mission. Your ship is damaged on entry, your tools are basic, and the planets below are beautiful but unforgiving. From here, everything you build is up to you.
Explore planets, moons, asteroid rings, and dense clusters. Mine resources, construct bases and starships, complete contracts, discover Datapads, trade, expand into new sectors, and push the frontier forward alone now, and later together with friends as co-op and large-scale multiplayer arrive over the course of Early Access.
Space Engineers 2 takes everything we have learned over the past 10 years and reimagines the space engineering experience with more depth, precision, and creative freedom than ever before. Powered by our new VRAGE3 engine, creation and destruction feel better than ever.
Build ships, stations, bases, and machines. Mine asteroids, reshape terrain, carve tunnels, damage structures, and experiment in a fully destructible sandbox where engineering decisions matter.
Whether you are a veteran Space Engineer or new to the series, Space Engineers 2 gives you a growing sandbox where your creativity can shine while the game continues expanding through Early Access.
Explore the next generation of construction with the 25 cm Unified Grid System. No more large-grid vs small-grid separation: blocks fit together seamlessly, making it easier to create detailed and functional builds.
Mounting point visualization, grid lines, improved controls, and more intuitive building tools help you design, adjust, and refine your creations with greater precision.
Space Engineers 2 introduces major building improvements such as Grid Undo, copy/paste, symmetry, blueprints, Projection Building, Backpack Building, Area Welding, refined CTRL controls, and improved rotation and zoom.
These tools are designed to make engineering smoother for both newcomers and experienced players, while preserving the depth and creativity that define Space Engineers.
Take your creations to new speeds with upgraded max velocity: characters up to 310 m/s and grids up to 300 m/s. Magboots and automatic jetpack activation help you stay in control while building, exploring, and moving around large constructions, platforms, ships, and asteroids.
Mechanical systems are also expanding. Rotors and Pistons are already available in the current Alpha, with wheels, hinges, warheads, and additional engineering systems planned for future updates.
We redesigned UI/UX to make building smoother and more intuitive for both newcomers and pros, giving more freedom to bring your intricate ideas to life. VRAGE3 is being optimized throughout Early Access; performance can vary by hardware, world size, and build complexity. As Early Access progresses, you’ll be able to build bigger ships, fly more of them, and enjoy epic destruction in a truly immersive ride.
The current Alpha already includes a real sandbox survival experience. Manage power, oxygen, hydrogen, and health. Mine resources, process materials, manufacture components, build production chains, complete contracts, earn credits, discover Datapads, and begin expanding colonization across the Almagest System.
These systems are playable today, but still growing. Long-term survival progression, deeper colonization, richer economy and contracts, NPCs, campaign content, co-op, multiplayer, and many additional systems will continue arriving during Early Access.
Enjoy the beauty of space, industrial designs, planetary landscapes, and destructive engineering with next-level realism. Space Engineers 2 introduces ray-traced global illumination, realistic shadows, a new skybox, tessellated voxel materials, parallax effects for armor, volumetric clouds, and many other visual improvements that bring depth and realism to every scene.
Bring your ideas to life and share your Blueprints and Worlds with the community through Steam Workshop integration. Explore a growing collection of creations from other players, find inspiration, and discover new engineering challenges.
Space Engineers 2 also supports advanced modding through the VRAGE3 Mod HUB and Mod Editor tools, giving creators more ways to shape the future of the game.

"Playable Alpha..." Nuff said
Just buy the first game. It improves on some things, but takes MAJOR steps back in QOL, this game is actually just miserable to play having to manage so many more resources than is needed. Also do NOT do "classic survival for the love of god, actually the worst attempt at making a game mode I have ever seen in my life. Do yourself a favor and go with the first game.

This review is more of a rant of my most recent experience. I know the game is in alpha but playing the survival mode is incredibly frustrating. im having issues where i cant build on platforms or i cant interact with specific specific blocks to build them. which is annoying but managable, what isnt managable is that at some point my thrusters completely stopped working, both atmosphere and hydrogen. no idea why, everything was connected, my tanks were full and i had ice to fuel it. but they just stopped working. last i recall i was messing with the batteries to get them to charge, because solar doesnt work go figure. i deleted a ore detector and moved it on my ship then put back a hydrogen thruster i was missing (i had replaced it with the ore detector, long story). and it just stopped working. for some reason i could still barely move but it felt like the same speed the engineer had, so i was able to get up to speed but my thrusters were not working. pressing z wouldn't slow the ship down at all and it just kept flying, eventually i got caught by gravity on the starting planet and started to fall, i turned my atmosphere thrusters on and nothing happened, my battery was at 26% but same as the hydrogen nothing happened and i eventually left the game before i hit the ground, my last save was 2 hours ago and thats an annoying amount of progress to lose. TLDR, survival isnt playable. too many bugs. if you want the game just wait till its in beta or fully released. I'll change my review when these issues are fixed
latest update and my game no longer works, getting sick of the pathetic so called fixes and updates. Not a stable build. Pity as I was enjoying it. I am also running an amd gpu, rx 9070 xt
Разработчик в погоне за красивой картинкой похоронит игру. Нам нужен геймплей, картинку может дорисовать воображение игрока. А вот исправить убитый геймплей, воображение игрока никак не сможет.
Crashing all the time with DX12 page faults please for the love of god allow DX11 as it is almost always more stable.
SE2 suffers from what I'd like to call UI/UX debt. Like technical debt, it is the consequence of years of messy implementation that causes problems down the line and the refusal/inability to address it until it crushes you. Now while technical debt prevents developers from making the changes they want, UI/UX debt makes the basic quality of life experience absolute hell for your players, particularly new players. Let me illustrate: In this game, you use the jetpack all the time to orient yourself while you build. Unfortunately, this jetpack is ALWAYS in 6 DOF mode, even while you're planetside or in a gravity generator's field. If you look around in any direction, you are going to have to reorient yourself a whole bunch. This happens pretty much every waking moment while you are building something. I cannot emphasize this enough, there is no normalized/gravity oriented mode. You are cursed with SPIN. In this game, you use the F key to enter a cockpit (and use everything else), instead of the flashlight. The night is pitch-black impossible to see in, and like just about most FPS games you'd press F to turn your flashlight on. Unfortunately, ejecting from your ship is also the F key and it is instant, there is no hold F to exit, bye-bye ship that was flying at 1000km/h because I wanted to see, or even because of a butterfinger. Also, rebinding keys does not change what they display as while you are in a cockpit. In this game, you can start building your ship anywhere in space, or on the ground great! Unfortunately, there is no way to "freeze" it in place while you work on it. If you so much as lightly brush against it, it is now carreening and spinning while you frantically try to slap thrusters and gyroscopes on it. Planetside, if you accidentally cut the connecting support beam to the ground, it is slamming into the ground and good luck working on it then. In this game, you can rotate blocks before you place them. Unfortunately, they also auto-rotate to face whichever side of a block's face you look at, and it is utter nonsensical randomization which direction it faces. The first thruster you get where rotation is vital is the atmospheric thruster, which has intake/outtakes that look nearly identical on its directions. Imagine pairing this with the above issue :) In this game, you can smelt raw ores into refined materials and components, and then build your ship from there. Unfortunately, there is absolutely no reason to do this whatsoever because, you can just, swap to raw mode when constructing things and it is 1:1 in cost and material weight? I have never in my life seen components/crafting materials that have been so meaningless to me. Not only in their function, but also in that they do not communicate any information to me. Ah yes, I need 17 rods and 3 meshes and 6 plates and 22 electrical components for one really small block. Of course I can definitely remember these ratios they definitely mean something to anyone. I'm just going to use raw mode okay. In this game, you have an inventory that you can pick up items and put them into. Unfortunately, you cannot? access?? the hotbar??? from your inventory????? You have to, go into the build menu, look through the list of ALL BLOCKS that exist, filter to the player equipment tab, and drag the particular flavor of item you have acquired into your hotbar from there?????????? I have never in my life had so much difficulty putting a medkit I just picked up into my hotbar. TL;DR, the user experience and user interface for this game was designed by actual, literal ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Aliens. Gleeb glorb ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
As a huge fan of SE1 with several thousand hours, SE 2 is a souless husk of its former incarnation. A year and a half since its EA release and its still complete hot garbage. SE1 UI is bad, but its been consistent for over a decade, SE2 UI is even worse but shares nothing with its predecessor. Mechanical blocks are laughably integrated, and ONLY cater to casual gamers creating incredibly simple mechanisms. The new grid system is the only redeeming factor but its just not enough considering how poorly every other aspect of the game is implimented. SE1 is a game made for people who enjoy technical builders. SE2 is a game made for casual console players and goes out of its way to alienate the technical players because "pretty trees and shadows!". Almost 2 years into the tech demo they call a alpha, and it's honestly not getting any better. SE2 should have stayed in development for another 2 years before even being annoucned, nevermind alpha'd.
This game is absolute GARGAGE! Hell, my garbage man could develop something a lot better than this. Ships that are 65% full will not I repeat not fly what so ever. You will die die die die die die die. They could have got that right before they released a DLC for this trash can. Randomly your jet pack does not stay put when you are up right and not moving. Its likes to drift when your just standing still. Yall thought SE 1 was bad... Oh my are you in for a surprise! I do not recommend this game at all in any state.
