Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 10 → 1.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's alright, but too "alright" when held up to the standards of any other Atlus game. The only redeeming part of the whole shebang was the characters, and even then it was a struggle to force myself to finish the game(which I somehow did in 18 hours-- the shortest amount of playtime I've ever gotten on any Atlus title sans Catherine Classic). Not worth $80CAD. Barely worth $20.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 29: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Persona 5 fans and most SMT fans will hate this game, but true JRPG gamer and some SMT players will enjoy this game. A good JRPG, but it is too expensive at full price. Not worth it. Grab this at 75% discount instead. Unlike some other reviews that found the story and characters mid, i found them to be interesting. Maybe they dont like the adult characters in SH2 but instead want some edgy shounen highschool students, idk. The combat is a downgrade from SMT in which the press turn system is removed, but more similar to Persona 5 combat in a sense. All out attack is being replaced with Sabbath. Similar with all out attack, but the ones jumping the enemies are the demons in your stock. Demon negotiation is also simplified which is a minus for me. You cannot recruit demons during combat lol. And demon fusion system is ♥♥♥♥. But, still enjoy the combat nevertheless. In term of story, the story revolves around thought provoking humanity and conflict theme, with some mix of light-heartedness. In term of overall quality, this game was developed with pretty low budget and running on Unity engine. With that limitation, it is a surprise that they can deliver a decent game with stunning visual. A lot of people did not acknowledge this fact and trash on this game for being inferior in quality than Persona 5. Not me tho. Final rating 7.5/10.
Soul Hackers 2 is a game that pushes against its budget but manages to put forward a fun, party-focused story despite some frayed edges. As a relatively current gen game, it looks great. Gameplay-wise, it tweaks the SMT/Persona weakness-based battle system into something new (the sabbath system, which also has a vague similarity to Tokyo Mirage Sessions' session concept). Its weaknesses lie in a lack of environment variety (there are *several* subway dungeons) and a momentum-faltering Soul Matrix (the game's Tartarus/Mementos equivalent). Though I do think that's less of a factor if you're not compelled to do all side-content the second it is available like me. Outside of the side-content, Soul Hackers 2 is positively breezy in terms of story pacing with a cast of adults trying to make sense of their place in a stagnant world where "the Summoner's karma" looms large over their lives. I have no problem recommending this to any JRPG fan but especially to anyone who either finds Persona too long and wrapped in teenager drama or Shin Megami Tensei lacking in story and character beats.
Jazzy, funky, flashy, sexy.
Compared to other Shin Megami and Persona games, this entry is rather mediocre. While not bad, Soul Hackers 2 gets pretty bland very fast. It tries to be both a Shin Megami and Persona game at once, but fails to be interesting in the areas that those games are. The dungeon design gets boring pretty fast and the characters are rather flat. Combat is this games redeeming quality, but since other entries into the franchies do combat even better, there are no reasons to play this game over other SMT/Persona Games. If you want to play a Monster collector with deep and challenging mechanics, play any other Shin Megami Game. If you want to play a more character focused JRPG with similar mechanics play Persona.
