Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 5 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Not for me.
It's cheap-looking and ugly, clearly the product of someone with an art budget of "3 sodas for their 19-year-old cousin to please knock this out for me" But it's also a fascinating card-based 4x simulator that has hard cutoffs for winning and losing so games are 30 minutes or less, with a lot of interesting decisions and combos. Not to mention, there's multiple races to unlock each with their own superpowers. I've spent a lot more on prettier games that sucked and I am super happy with my purchase here and keep coming back to it because Solar Settlers mixes that one-more-run itch of roguelikes with the grand strategic planning of sprawling 4x'ers. Grab this game!

I had this game on my wishlist forever - not even sure why I had put it there in the first place, probably liked the theme and the tags that described it, so I finally picked it up in the last summer sale. Solar Settlers reminds me a lot of a board game, which is not bad and maybe the creators should think about releasing a board game version of it, too. I would definitely buy that, too. The concept is kind of independent of the theme and works fine on its own, although I appreciate the setting. I do like board and card games a lot, so I might be a bit biased and I like the game for other aspects than I thought I would like it - it is more a puzzle game that requires you to recognize the distribution of the different "resources" and then try to make up shortfalls in one by utilizing others to make up for their lack. It is true, that this is a game that can be picked up and played through in 15 minutes, however, this is obscuring the truth a bit... One playthrough can be done in 15 minutes. However, then this cursed popup comes up and asks you if you want to play again... which means a playthrough is actually at least 30 minutes.... when the damn thing pops up again and then it's 45 minutes. At the end a whole lot of time has passed... but at least I had lots of fun and will come back to play my next 15... 30.. 45 minutes... or more. Good game - go and buy it!

Your job is to settle colonists in a set number of turns, while managing resources for moving and keeping them alive. One of the main gimmicks is to maneuver colonists so you efficiently activate planet effects which differ based on the number of colonists present. Not much else to it, unfortunately. Once you played your first game, you would have seen everything and the challenge is to do it even more efficiently on higher difficulty levels. The card aspect only comes from drawing planet cards which can be used to upgrade planets, but there is no deckbuilding or card play so it's card aspect is quite minimal. Essentially it's a resource management efficiency puzzle game, that's also easy to pick up, but it struggles a lot with variety. There are new cards/races to unlock, but they don't meaningfully change how you play the game. To make it worse, unlocking new races is a grind (for some reason) and repetitiveness sets way before even unlocking the first one. Still, it's a nice game to play between games as it's easy to jump in and out of.
The positive
+ Easy to learn & quick to play + Solid, albeit, simple mechanics
The neutral
* Frustratingly slow race unlocks.
The negative
- Low variety leading to repetitiveness quickly.
Conclusion:
Resource management efficiency puzzle game with a minimal card aspect. Gets repetitive quickly, but fun to play for a while while the novelty lasts. Recommended if you are not looking for a long game and deep strategy. The best bite sized space exploration game out there. Tightly designed with excellent replayability thanks to unlocking additional factions with their own game mechanics.
An okay game, for about an hour. Once you figure out the rules it's very boring. Worth getting if you're super into board games and space colonization, and it's on sale for $5-ish.
I dont like too complicated games. This game is the perfect balance between complexity and easy to play. Would strongly recommend!
