Solar Settlers

This is an interesting game with a solid premise, but the mechanics feel very same-y from game to game. You're unlocking more and more new things from playthrough to playthrough but I can't help but feel that I'm just dragging along mechanically through each round.

Ask yourself, what if Terraforming Mars was simple, relaxing and entertaining? Don't worry about it, Solar Settlers answered the question for you. Synergistic abilities, clever resource management, calculable risk, with the random card draw and starting planet adding the chef's kiss of randomness for you. You should play the game, support small devs making good things.

Воркер-плэйсмент головоломка. Ничего выдающегося, всё несложно и очевидно. Лёгкая разминка для мозга в таком вот формате. Быстрые, по нескольку минут, партии. Никакой динамичности или сюжетных твистов :) Чем-то неуловимо напоминает настольный Race for the Galaxy в солорежиме) Лучше, наверное, играть на планшете/телефоне - в ГуглПлей она тоже есть.

ソリティアに近い楽しさ。 やってるうちにジワジワ面白さを感じました。スルメ系です。 最初は簡単過ぎると思いましたが、難易度が上がってくると考慮するポイントが見えてきて楽しくなります。

Solid dynamic boardgame-like solo strategy game. Very much recommended for people who like crunchy worker placement games.

I think of this game as a single player rogue lite board game. I've played this 23 hours so far and have 100% I paid $10 for the game at full value, and since I plan to play this more, I think it's money well spent. If you get it on sale it's a crazy good value. Good job devs, keep up the good work.

Solar Settlers is a fantastic, addicting gem with unique gameplay. It is reminiscent of board games, but since it's designed ground up as a digital game, it has none of the clunkiness of board game adaptions. Actually it plays very fast, one level playthrough takes only around 20 minutes. Solar Settlers offers a perplexing amount of content - there are 7 races to unlock, with unique gameplay mechanics. The developer recently updated the game for native Apple Silicon (M1/M2) support, so your Macbook Air will never run hot and you can play for hours on battery.

Not for me.

It's cheap-looking and ugly, clearly the product of someone with an art budget of "3 sodas for their 19-year-old cousin to please knock this out for me" But it's also a fascinating card-based 4x simulator that has hard cutoffs for winning and losing so games are 30 minutes or less, with a lot of interesting decisions and combos. Not to mention, there's multiple races to unlock each with their own superpowers. I've spent a lot more on prettier games that sucked and I am super happy with my purchase here and keep coming back to it because Solar Settlers mixes that one-more-run itch of roguelikes with the grand strategic planning of sprawling 4x'ers. Grab this game!

Honestly, it's a good little game.
