Kosmonavtes: Escape Reality is a pretty basic and straightforward room escape game targeted at novice players due to its low challenge puzzles. There are 8 chapters in total, each of them consisting of only 2 screens. There's not much else to do apart from picking up a few objects, combining them with the environment while going several times back and forth between these screens and solving one final, big puzzle (like a jigsaw / a nonogram). An in-game, text-based hint system is also available, making things even more accessible in case you get stuck, and it is fairly well done (you receive hints for the exact stage in which you're stuck). https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2403245833 The story is delivered through dialogue panels at the beginning of each chapter and it's also very basic, like pretty much everything about the game (apart from the delightful hand-drawn art). You'll help Vala, whose dream to be accepted into the Kosmonavtes program has finally come true, prepare for her trip and further pass some trials before meeting her superior. While delivered as a standalone game, it seems to be rather an intro / prologue to a series of games due to it's shortness. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2403245745 It took me 1h to fully complete Kosmonavtes: Escape Reality (without skipping any puzzles) and due to the game's undemanding nature, it was a very relaxing experience. I would recommend picking this up if you want a quick and easy completion (there are only story-based Steam achievements) or if you want to give this genre a try. kosmonavtes: escape reality is a mobile escape room game from 2017, followed in 2020 by kosmonavtes: academy escape. it's 8 very short chapters (5-10 minutes each tops) about a girl who randomly gets selected to become an astronaut, fulfilling her life-long dream. not much space action in the game though, it's all about finding a newspaper, your acceptance letter, packing some clothes, and so on. riveting stuff for a brief first chapter, but this is half of the game. gameplay is the usual find items, use them, figure out codes, and so on, except the girl can't reach a key slightly above her head, but has no problems installing a big-ass mirror on the ceiling of an underground military base without help. and some of the puzzle mini-games are ridiculous as well. she can't take a dog on a leash, a cat in a box and a hot-dog over the river at the same time, for example. there's also the world's worst nonogram with no right-click action. stuff like this can be skipped by clicking the fast-forward button twice, but gotta say, the one in the second room in the last chapter was pretty neat. the maze following it not so much but it was quick at least. the cursor and right click don't do anything, no changes over hotspots, no hotspot indicator, exits aren't marked (though there are never more than 2 locations per chapter), can only zoom out/close puzzles by clicking a button, so it's a tedious clickfest. I'm sure graphics are fine on a tiny mobile screen, but some of it is blurry on a bigger one. music is fine, sound effects not so much. there's an incredibly annoying beep after every single sentence, but no gibberish and text appears instantly. the mandatory tutorial that also introduces the hint system is full of tapping too. windowed mode and resolutions only via the unity launcher on startup and no volume settings, only sound and music toggles and only after the intro/tutorial. why would they be in the main menu like in a normal game? gotta have social media links though, much more important... there are a bunch of languages to choose from, plus chapter select in the main menu, they unlock one by one. it's free on mobile, so whatever they're asking for the pc version is still too much. I paid half price, about the same you'd pay on your phone to get rid of ads, so wouldn't be too bad if it wasn't one of the laziest mobile ports of one of the most lackluster games I've played. seeing as most mobile offerings, especially this variety, get released on pc in a similar state, it's not saying much, and since I finished it, didn't ask for a refund, but don't waste any time or money on this.
Original !
Boring. The music which repeats every few seconds grates in no time, it's a dull hog where you mostly find things one at a time.
Basic, but not terrible. Typically sells for 1 or 2 dollars, which is about right. Pros: Female protagonist Simple puzzles Good for children Cons: 8 very short chapters Music is monotonous
Proste. Przyjemne. Niedługie.
