Skate Rift

Very nice 1man Indy skateboarding game. I love how it includes mechanics pertinent to 3 of the most prolific skating styles (street/free style, verts and longboarding/downhill). This is very important as a skater as it allows one to see the effort being done to actually pull any type of skater into the game and enjoy it. There's no goals per-se, however you can try to unlock achievements, perform certain type of tricks in some maps and also complete the speed sections which will surely improve your technique in the game; kinda like skating IRL; no goals, but you can follow certain things and set goals for your own improvement. I like where the game is going and hope to see the online community grow. I believe the game could benefit from the following: -A dedicated grind button for better grinding mechanics. This could solve certain issues like with small curbs making you grind and thus losing speed. -Making curbs/sidewalks that are very small not stop the player -A dedicated button for performing fly-outs on verts instead of an automatic detection or pushing forward as this doesn't always work as intended (at least for me) -Small video tutorials embedded to trick sections so one can have context on what's supposed to be done -Further improving detection after big airs to continue the momentum as many end up in an almost unavoidable bail :)

Cool skating game with diferent and big maps and multiplayer Easy to understand, hard to master.

Pros: Smooth gameplay, low-spec friendly, has missions, online mode, Steam Workshop maps, can walk/sit/drop in/rewind/freecam, decent amount of tricks, feels creative. Cons: Small trick list, can’t change time of day: Fun low-poly skate game with big potential. 8.5/10.
