A fun minimalist puzzle game, and a great way to spend a few hours if you want to relax from other games.
Great game for brain exercise Great concept, simple to understand the rule Calming BGM, no pressure (No timer, no movement counter, unlimited retries) Simple achievements, just take your time to complete all the puzzles. Edit: Just finished the 1st game, 2nd game is more challenging although it's missing one mechanic (rotating gear) from the first game
SiNKR 2 is a quietly mesmerizing experience that continues the minimalist philosophy that made its predecessor such a small but notable success. Developed by Robert Wahler and published by Wahler Digital, the game once again invites players into a serene world of hooks, pucks, and geometric problem-solving where elegance and simplicity replace noise and clutter. The moment the title screen fades in, it becomes clear that this is a game about focus and contemplation. There are no tutorials filled with text, no flashing indicators, and no intrusive guidance systems—only a set of intuitive mechanics waiting to be discovered through play. It is a refreshing reminder that games can communicate through interaction rather than explanation, allowing curiosity and experimentation to become part of the player’s learning process. The core gameplay of SiNKR 2 is deceptively simple. Each level presents a collection of mechanical contraptions—hooks, pulleys, conveyors, and switches—arranged on a grid. Your task is to maneuver small tokens, or “pucks,” into the appropriate receptacles by activating the right mechanisms in the right sequence. At first, it seems straightforward, but as the levels progress, the layers of complexity begin to emerge. New elements are introduced gradually: switches that reverse the direction of movement, portals that teleport pucks across the board, and different shapes that require specific matching goals. None of these additions overwhelm the player, but each one deepens the logic puzzle at hand. The brilliance lies in the design language—each new component is self-explanatory through motion and feedback, maintaining the purity of the puzzle experience while adding sophistication. Every aspect of the game’s presentation serves the goal of maintaining focus and clarity. The visuals are clean, precise, and free of distraction. Soft gradients and muted tones keep the player’s attention centered on movement and interaction. The minimalist interface, with its absence of score counters or progress bars, ensures that every solved puzzle feels like its own small triumph rather than a step in a race. The sound design complements this approach perfectly: each move produces a satisfying mechanical click or hum, and the ambient soundtrack flows like a calm current in the background. The audio doesn’t push or demand attention—it simply enhances the sense of quiet concentration that defines the game’s rhythm. It’s easy to lose track of time while immersed in this soothing environment, and that is part of SiNKR 2’s understated charm. Compared to the original game, SiNKR 2 feels like both a refinement and a gentle expansion. The mechanics remain largely the same, but the overall flow of the experience has been improved. The introduction of a non-linear progression map allows players to skip levels or return to earlier puzzles without penalty, making frustration rare and maintaining the meditative tone. The new level designs demonstrate greater creativity and subtlety, pushing the existing mechanics to their limits rather than relying on constant novelty. There are around 80 levels in total, and each one offers its own moment of clarity—the satisfying click when the final puck slides perfectly into place. It is not a game about failure or competition but about precision, patience, and the quiet pleasure of understanding how all the pieces fit together. The pacing is deliberate and unhurried, inviting players to solve each puzzle at their own tempo. There are no time limits, no penalties for mistakes, and no external pressure to rush. This is a rare quality in modern gaming, where even puzzle titles often lean on artificial urgency to maintain engagement. SiNKR 2 rejects that entirely, embracing the idea that problem-solving can be its own reward. It’s as much a meditative exercise as it is a game, offering moments of mindfulness through logical deduction. Players who enjoy the process of thinking rather than simply reacting will find this design philosophy deeply satisfying. Each solution feels earned through reasoning and experimentation, not luck or trial-and-error guesswork. While the minimalist approach is the game’s greatest strength, it may also limit its appeal for some players. Those seeking an elaborate narrative, flashy visuals, or dramatic escalation will find none of that here. SiNKR 2 doesn’t evolve dramatically as it progresses—it simply explores the depth of its mechanics with consistency and discipline. For puzzle enthusiasts, this restraint will feel elegant and deliberate; for others, it may verge on monotony after extended sessions. The game’s length, typically between three and five hours depending on pace, feels appropriate to its design—short enough to remain engaging, but long enough to deliver a complete experience without overstaying its welcome. Its replay value lies not in new content but in the quiet satisfaction of mastering its logic. Technically, the game is polished and efficient. It runs flawlessly on virtually any system, supports multiple control schemes including keyboard and gamepad, and provides a clean, intuitive interface. The attention to accessibility is subtle but meaningful—since the game relies on visual logic rather than text, it transcends language barriers and can be enjoyed by players anywhere. Its lightweight footprint and uncluttered design make it an ideal pick for short, thoughtful play sessions, whether at a desk or on a handheld device. Like the puzzles themselves, the software’s simplicity hides careful craftsmanship underneath. Ultimately, SiNKR 2 stands as a quiet celebration of design purity. It doesn’t try to impress with spectacle, yet it manages to engage through the elegance of its systems and the harmony of its presentation. It respects the intelligence and patience of its audience, trusting players to learn through observation and experimentation rather than handholding. Each puzzle, when solved, feels like a small act of discovery—a fleeting but genuine moment of satisfaction. For those who appreciate games that challenge the mind while calming the senses, SiNKR 2 is a masterclass in restraint and refinement. It reaffirms that simplicity, when executed with clarity and care, can be every bit as profound as complexity. Rating: 9/10
Rating: 8/10
Very brief puzzle game, and a sequel to SiNKR. It's really just more of the same, but that isn't really a bad thing. The game is minimalist and the puzzles are thoughtfully designed, although some might look impossible, finding solutions is fun and pretty intuitive. Doesn't mean it's easy though. The audio can get a little grating, especially when cycling the pucks through kickers.
I started this game for a peaceful evening. I ended it trying to explain the physics of rotational symmetry to my cat...

SiNKR 2
SiNKR 2 is just an extension of the first game introducing no new mechanics, however it boasts more levels which I found to be a lot more challenging.
Gameplay
SiNKR 2 has all the same mechanics of the previous game but with 87 new levels, these new levels are well-designed, not feeling like they are just repeating the same logic. The levels were definitely more of a challenge than the original, quite a few had the same layouts but with subtle differences to slowly ramp the difficulty and make you find new solutions.
Achievements (12/12)
The achievements are for the completion of all levels.
Settings/Accessibility/Misc
Works well on steamdeck. In-game achievement and stat pages. Level select available. Keyboard, mouse and gamepad support with rebinding available.
