nostalgie. gewoon altijd leuk een adventure game. grappig ook
Developed by MojoTouch in partnership with Adventure Soft and published by MojoTouch, Simon the Sorcerer - Mucusade: 25th Anniversary Edition revives one of the most recognizable point-and-click adventures of the 1990s with a thoughtful collection of modern enhancements. Instead of rebuilding the game from the ground up, this anniversary release focuses on preserving its original identity while introducing quality-of-life improvements that make it easier to enjoy on today's hardware. It serves as both a celebration of a classic adventure and an accessible entry point for players discovering Simon's magical exploits for the first time. The story continues directly after Simon's previous adventure, but any hopes of returning to a peaceful everyday life quickly disappear. The villainous wizard Sordid returns with revenge in mind, sending Simon into another bizarre fantasy journey filled with enchanted locations, strange allies, and absurd obstacles. A magical wardrobe intended to transport Simon back home instead ends up elsewhere, forcing him into a quest to recover an unusual source of magical energy. The narrative embraces comedy from beginning to end, delivering a steady stream of sarcastic dialogue, humorous references, and fairy tale parodies that rarely take themselves too seriously. Simon remains an entertaining protagonist whose cynical personality and quick wit give the game much of its charm. Gameplay stays faithful to the traditional point-and-click formula, rewarding players who enjoy exploring environments, collecting useful objects, speaking with colorful characters, and solving interconnected puzzles. Many of the challenges require paying close attention to conversations and experimenting with inventory items, creating the satisfying sense of progression that defined classic adventure games. While the core gameplay remains untouched, this edition significantly improves usability by introducing hotspot highlighting, more intuitive controls, simplified interaction methods, and a cleaner interface. These updates reduce many of the frustrations commonly associated with older adventure titles without compromising their original puzzle design. The presentation successfully balances nostalgia with modernization. Players have the freedom to experience the game using enhanced graphical filtering suited for modern displays or revert to the untouched pixel artwork for a more authentic retro appearance. Likewise, the soundtrack offers multiple playback options, allowing fans to choose between different classic audio formats depending on their preferred version of the original experience. Cloud save functionality and improved menu navigation further modernize the package, making it convenient to play on contemporary systems while respecting the game's historical roots. Voice performances continue to be one of the strongest aspects of the adventure, giving personality to Simon and the large cast of eccentric characters encountered throughout the quest. The extensive language support, including multiple voice and subtitle options, expands the game's accessibility well beyond its original audience. In addition to the main adventure, the anniversary edition includes several bonus materials such as the original manual, soundtrack, artwork, and legacy versions of the game, making it an attractive release for collectors and long-time fans interested in the series' history. Despite the welcome improvements, the game still reflects the design philosophy of its era. Some puzzles rely on unconventional logic and may leave modern players searching for obscure solutions, while the pacing favors careful exploration over constant action. Certain jokes and references also show their age, although the humor largely remains enjoyable thanks to the game's self-aware writing and consistently playful tone. Those expecting streamlined modern adventure mechanics may occasionally encounter moments of trial and error, but players who appreciate classic design will likely find these quirks part of the experience's enduring appeal. Simon the Sorcerer - Mucusade: 25th Anniversary Edition is an excellent example of how a classic adventure can be preserved without losing its personality. The improvements enhance accessibility while leaving the original storytelling, puzzle design, and comedic spirit intact. It captures the whimsical atmosphere that helped establish the series as a memorable name in the adventure genre, offering dozens of entertaining conversations, imaginative locations, and satisfying puzzles. Whether returning for nostalgia or experiencing Simon's adventures for the first time, this edition delivers a polished and respectful restoration of a beloved classic. Rating: 6/10
Muchísimo peor que el primero. Muchos puzles no tienen lógica.
The point a good game became a good series.
n1 game
game crashed when i was on ACT II... didn't save... all the progress gone.

Igual 100% recomendado. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A classic from the '90s, much better than the previous one, the port still has the same problems. A horrible HUD, with certain errors or problems when clicking on its options many times. And on many occasions the game crashes when using unusual actions, for example using a cat in Alix or Calypso... As for its gameplay, the story is longer, open-ended, some of the puzzles are quite complicated, too many unnecessary action buttons (like moving, if I have used it twice in the entire game, that is a lot), the mussic is very good. It has no achievements or trading cards. Still 100% recommended.
Nasty glitchy implementation - lots of crashes, poor implementation of basic game features like saving.
