This Game has a massive scaling and performance problem. When your city exceeds 1000 silicens it starts getting slower and slower, even when using the tips from the forum like "switch off shadows". At the same time this game is using just a single core and graphics are idling. This looks like it should have been some more time in early access and have gotten a multithreading overhaul.
Its a very good city builder/simulation game with charming simple but pretty to look at graphics with a real darn good gameplay, its more deep than you would think and the simulation part is really well done, basically each of your citizen is a ''sims'' and live its own life
So great So good
Could be a nice little game but it's full of bugs, has a really small map, and been abandoned by the devs. One big bug being some buildings costing 5-10x in maintenance cost than what they claim, making it very hard to actually provide for the citizens to keep them happy enough to avoid loosing the game. At least it has a sandbox mode.
This was a fun, deceivingly layered game that I look forward to playing in its entirety. First, the graphics are very simple, giving the player a sense of builder games from the 90's, bit the usage of a twitter-like social media platform as a way to keep an eye on the city makes it feel a bit more modern. Play begins simply, you place zones and roads on an empty map to begin growing the city your citizens (Silizens) will move into. As you achieve certain goals, more zones and buildings will become available and you can get much needed money to continue adding to the city. Don't let the simple graphics fool you, however...there is definitely a need for good resource management or you'll find yourself bankrupt quickly. The camera controls are not my favorite as they are clunky and difficult to get positioned just right. I would have preferred to use WASD or the direction arrows to move the map and holding down the right mouse button to pan and zoom. As they are, the WS/Up and down arrow are zoom, which makes it hard to simply click to see other areas of the map. There are settings for mouse sensitivity, so it helps a bit, but I'd love to see the camera controls improved. Overall, a fun game and one with good replay ability. I will be adding this to my library and looking forward to updates and the full game.
