Silent Hill Homecoming

i played this game one time on the ps3 years ago and i thought it wasn't the best, but it was not the worst either, i tried having a second playthrough on pc, but the game crashes often when a new area loads in, which sucks because i want to replay, other than that, the game is okay

As a SH fan I loved this style of movie&game mix. I know this is one of the least rated silent hill games and yes it crashes. It didn't crash as much for me as it sounds like it did for others. My game was always saved and I made sure to go back to save spots frequently. If you pause the game for too long or leave it idle, it will freeze, and you will have to restart the game. The story was good. The monsters are tops. The scenery and the vibe is on point. It was very linear. You do have maps but for the most part its still straight forward, not much exploring is allowed. For instance, you will have liminal space type explorational spaces but then most of the doors are locked and cant be opened. There is a straight path, one way to go. Combat is super bad. Dodges barely work. All boss fights were manageable apart from the centipede. Needed a lot of help for that one. Despite all that, I honestly really really enjoyed this one. The story is amazing. The feel is amazing. Thats what I'm here for. The gruesome imagery, the cult, and to learn more about silent hill.

A disappointing entry in the series. The story feels forced, the atmosphere is dull, and the scares are few and far between. Combat is clunky, and the game lacks the haunting mood that made Silent Hill special. It tries to be dark but ends up feeling forgettable and shallow...

I have NEVER played such a buggy game before. This port is an actual ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ disgrace. It's UNPLAYABLE. Literally. If you can get past the start screen and load into the actual game (chances are less than 50/50), then good luck not discovering some kind of bug. Straight away I got stuck zoomed in somehow into the X-ray wall 10 minutes in. Actually have to start again from the beginning because you get locked in and can't move. The inventory itself would not render properly, showing me an eighth of the map instead of the full thing, and nothing else (There was supposed to be part of the x-ray in my inventory). Had I not been locked into a zoomed state at the x-ray wall, it wouldn't matter anyway; I cant even attach the x-ray because it wont show it in my inventory. The fact this is being sold is seriously a disgrace. You will be giving me my money back. Actually disgusting. This ♥♥♥♥ should be illegal. Actual clowns,

Bu oyunu almayın çünkü her şeyden önce bir kere oyun çalışmıyor. 3. Parti patch kurmanız lazım ki az çok oynanabilir hale gelsin. Yoksa 30fps, sesler bozuk, sürekli çöküyor, tuşlar basmıyor vs.vs. çekilecek çile değil. UnkownsProject'i kurduktan sonra koli bandıyla zar zor tutturmuş oluyorsunuz ve oynanabilir gibimsi oluyor en azından. Yine de berbat çalışıyor. 2 kere silahlarım hasar vermeyi bıraktı (benzerini yaşayan olursa oyunu kapatıp new game açıp ilk cutscene bitince kapatıp geri load saveden kendi saveine dönsün o zaman silahlar tekrar vurmaya başlıyor) 1 kere yakın dövüş silahlarım kayboldu, 3-4 kere falan da patche rağmen çöktü. Bir şekilde oynamaya razı oldunuz oynadınız diyelim tek sebebi Silent Hill oyunu olması olabilir ve benim gibi bütün seriyi oynamak için oynuyorsunuzdur. Bu sefer de bir diğer sıkıntı ortaya çıkıyor işte. Bu oyun iyi bir Silent Hill oyunu değil. Korku/aksiyon olarak mid verebileceğiniz bir oyun ama Silent Hill 2'nin kötü bir Amerikan kopyasından ibaret. Çalınan tasarımlardan hikayenin ilerlemesi ve çözülmesine kadar kötü bir kopya olduğu belli oluyor. Kopya olsun ama kötü olsun ya da mid SH olsun diyorsanız beeelki hikaye o kadar da kötü gelmeyebilir, en azından bazı yerleri sadık kalmış. Diğer garabet özelliği de berbat combat sistemi. Dodge sistemi kesinlikle berbat çalışıyor. Vuruş hissi özellikle bosslarda hak getire zaten. Çoğu zaman vurduğunuzu anlamıyorsunuz bile. Combat knife alıp 3 sol 1 sağ spamlayarak çoğu engeli de aşabilirsiniz. Gunplay silahlar çalıştığı zaman bile berbat. En nihayetinde illa oynayacaksanız patch kurup beklentiyi dibe düşürüp girin. Korku oyunu arıyor ya da Silent Hill serisine giriş yapmak istiyorsanız uzak durun.

This game doesn't work straight from the box. When I attempted to start it, all I got was a black screen. It seems it will only start with an update from a website, which I consider a security risk. Given the current state of the world, with various state-sponsored hackers, this is concerning. Consequently, I wouldn't recommend this game at all.
