Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Reviews
I've played all the main Civ games from I to VII and this one is my favorite. I've found engaging gameplay from the outset and have enjoyed each update provided since launch. The leader and civ combinations allow me a level of flexibility and custom options I've not had in previous versions and the commanders are an incredible addition. I've finished far more games of Civ VII than any others as the tedium of the endgame is greatly reduced.
Age transition is ridiculus. You're at war with a tech advantage then suddenly your opponent gets same units after age transition. On top of it slaps your with an automatic peace treaty after age transition. ?.? A lot of it is great but THIS age thing? It's a deal breaker and I won't be buying it if it remains like that.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 22: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Of the 6 markets with a position on both sides, 4 climbed and 2 fell. The same sale, the same day, opposite directions — which is why nothing here is averaged into a single arrow, and why one sale is not a trend.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

2k needs to resolve their account issues - I have my 2k account and steam accounts linked but the game says that I am not logged in.....this makes playing across devices impossible. Just implement steam cloud save! It's free! Don't make me use a worse thing.
no cloud saves in a modern triple A title is wild
I mean it's fine... I like some differences to other Civ games and the game isn't bad but this game is not worth the 70€ it is listed for. I can't in good concience recommend this game at this price. Neat pickup if it's on sale. Not worth 70€.
Worst Civ, dont buy it. 2 thumbs down. Why you might ask? its not fun, simple as that. If you enjoy spending hours and hours playing one game, maybe its for you. i have completed ONE game in 78 hours and half played 3 other games. Why do i have so many incomplete games? because its not fun. Wherever Sid is, i hope hes pissed at whoever made this heaping pile of crap. Thanks for wasting my time, keep the change ya filthy anuimals.
Bro, this game is a complete and utter DISASTER from top to bottom. I don't even know where to start. Everything collapses the moment you touch it. I genuinely want to know what kind of stuff the devs at Firaxis were on when they made these decisions, because it makes zero sense. 1. "Age" Mechanics? More Like Trolling the Player Base First off, resetting the entire technology tree just because the Age shifts, and blocking us from researching past techs, is an absolute joke. Resetting buildings and resources when you transition ages is extra nonsense. Newsflash: human history didn't run on a synchronized clock! Not every civilization entered a new era at the exact same time; some were literally living as nomads while others were founding academies. Did humanity just forget how to herd sheep or ride horses because the Bronze Age ended? The "You shifted eras, bro, so sheep don't exist anymore" mechanic completely destroys any sense of immersion. Total garbage mechanic. 2. Was the Base Roster Picked by a Random Generator? Second, the base leaders they shoved into this game... Did the design team completely lose their minds? You’ve got people with minimal impact on world history taking up main leader slots. Who on earth is Amina? Who is Ashoka in the grand scheme of legendary Civ icons? In an attempt to push diversity, you wiped out the actual historical weight of the roster. Where are the civilization defining giants we actually care to play as? 3. City State Logic: Unlimited Troop Glitch? Third, these tiny micro states that constantly attack with zero tactical logic. Bro, who even are you, and why are you declaring war on me out of nowhere every 5 turns? How does a tiny, one city micro state manage to spawn an infinite army of units? Do these bots have a resource cheat code running in the background? It’s completely braindead and unplayable. 4. Stats are Trash, Perks are Useless Fourth, and probably the most painful part: the traits and perks given by nations and leaders are absurdly weak. They feel like they have a ZERO percent impact on the actual gameplay. Remember Civ 5 or Civ 6 where you could theorycraft insane synergies and builds around a leader? Gone. Leader choices feel completely weightless now. It’s like picking a cosmetic skin instead of a playstyle. 3/10 - 3 for graphics and animations
I was skeptical at first about how the franchise could improve upon Civ VI which I thought was a really solid version of the game but I have been very impressed so far. The rural vs urban division of building is really interesting and I find the eras shifts to be much less disruptive (in a negative way) than I was worried would happen. I enjoy the way that independent powers function as well as the increased number of civics trees. Lastly, the diplomacy interactions are by far one of my favorite new elements as they provide so many more opportunities for constant engagement with other powers beyond just alliance or war. The primary downside for me is that as a history buff, I find the anachronistic leaders to be rather annoying. Being able to play as Harriet Tubman leading the Roman Empire just feels wrong to me. Overall though, that is a minor nitpicky thing and I like the game a lot so far.
