About

I’ve always loved ships and boats, tall ships, steamers, pre-dreadnought french monstrosities, I love em all.
ShipShaper is a explorative ship builder I made for the simple pleasure of shaping boats and ships. You pull, push, and drag forms into place, creating everything from humble fishing vessels to tall ships, ironclads, and early dreadnoughts.
You can create historical ships, fantasy ships, steampunk you name it.
It's a boat designer married to experimental interfaces that are intended to take away the tedium from designing boats. No 3D skills required, no endless stacks of cubes, just some organic shaping and attaching props and functional items to create whatever ship you want.
When you’re done, you can place your ships into a world and sail them, the game does a proper analysis of your creation, its propulsion, hull shape and weight, all in order so you can properly enjoy and test your creation.
ShipShaper is about creating a foundational technology that will power my own future games, connect my franchise but also empower other creators to have fun with ships and have a usable output, game-ready and usable.
Features:
Free-form building
Responsive shaping
Expanding library of details and props

Many of us also love 'Boats', if you also love the Falconeer Chronicles, and want to add more boats to your game then this is for you. While it is in early access I have no hesitation buying this, Tomas's reputation for not only producing games but supporting them well past the release, should be seen as a absolute positive. This is also a pleasure to explore in a casual manner making models that can then also be 3D printed. If Tomas was not to do another thing to this project it would still be worth buying. I don't have many hours in this thus far as I deleted the demo once I purchased the EA, and I tend to see this also as a casual timeout.

Played the demo, sunk a lot of hours in it, loved it from the beginning, bought the EA game and now I will wait for end of Early Access. (I'll try a little bit when there are updates or just enjoy the weekly submissions, but honestly, I played some games during early access... WAY TOO MUCH... and then didn't enjoy the Full Release, won't do that again; still worth to support early on) I'll update the review once the game is released... or when there is a big update.
The hull shaping tools by themselves are worth the price of admission alone.
The game is a masterpiece, sadly in disguise, and should get way more attention. If you ever wanted to design the ship of your dreams but still want to have a life after being done with it, this is for you! The shaping is very intuitive but allows for various styles reaching through the centuries and even some fictional approaches. There's a bunch of things to slap onto the hull, masts and superstructure to go with all sorts of purposes and aesthetics. The simulation of the waves on the seas when placing your creation there is epic and the ability to sail your ships with the full release now is even better. Very highly recommended.
Fantastic, really, and the fact there's an export option is just brilliant. I was expecting to pay way more than this considering it can also export the ships for use in your own product. Extremely generous! 11/10, great work!
Not entirely a game (yet) but definitely a very fun tool to play around with. The builder has potential to be the most intuitive I've seen in a game of this type, just needs a few bugs and QOL features worked out. I can't wait to see what this becomes and eventually be able to use the ships in a full game.
-Build ship -Sail ship -Export ship to Bulwark or anywhere If you have a creative mind, this is for you. It's basically the Spore creature creator but ships.
This is by far one of the best ship building games/programs on steam. going from early age of sail all the way to ww1 pre-dreadnaught battleships and even carriers. for 9$ this game is well worth the money if you just want to make some nice ship designs or need a model for one, let alone the ability to port them over to the devs other game as usable ships.
