Can't recommend - bought this back when I was using Windows and now that I'm on linux, I'm having the same issues. After a while, it just stops responding to inputs besides moving the canvas, my manual saves are nowhere to be found, and even after quitting the program and reloading, loading an autosave causes the program to stop responding again.
An excellent tool for D&D map making. Amazing results and tons of variety. Seems to be mainly for out door settings currently, but this is an exceptional tool and great value for any game master running fantasy settings. Highly recommend.
meh. it's too bland. only whites and broken whites and water. dont get fooled by the trailer. it's hard/impossible to color it.
just for fun i did doodle a tree with pen on paper. took a pic of it, imported it in this software and added wind movement and shadow. looked amazing and was super fast. i have almost no experience with graphics programs but this right here is easy to use. u don't need tutorials. i don't play dnd, i just bought this for creative purposes. i will just draw with this tool while listening to audiobooks like lord of the rings. i can now recreate the old static maps of the books and parts of middle earth, but now i will have movement and light on it. what an amazing tool. assets i miss, i will just draw myself and add them. can highly recommend for serious dnd mapping or just for creativity and fun. runs without any problems on silicon mac on highest settings.
I shouldve read about this more. This tool looks good and is easy to use or get the hang of. At least I feel like that having only tried a bit. The maps others make look stunning. I just wish it had some more modern options. I wanted to make a sci fi building. But honestly its on me. For medival stuff its great! Just maybe they could add more? I have not a good concept of prizes out there but 20 bucks for medival only seems steep. Again really good for bigger world building though.
I have been able to create some very cool maps with this tool. I love that there is weather and some animated effects like wind blowing tents and tree and flying birds. I look forward to when they add new assets.

I tried Dungeondraft, Wonderdraft and Inkarnate before stumbling upon this beautiful software. It is intuitive, the style is very tasteful and the workshop integration is amazing. Dungeondraft & Wonderdraft feel like tools out of the 90s compared to it and I'm now much faster in creating truly beautiful maps. I can't really believe that this software is still early access with all the features already integrated. There's a couple of things I'd like to see added: a measurement tool, a circle path & wall tool, wall & tower height shown in meters: all things that make it easier to not only put a map together but really plan and measure it. However, I often tend to over engineer things and find that the intuitve placement of objects and walls gives me a more organic look compared to a pre-measured plan. The price is also more than competitive. This tool costs less then Dungeondraft and does not require a subscription as with Inkarnate. I highy recommend it. Kudos to the developer.
This has quickly become one of my favorite map-making tools for my D&D campaign — intuitive and user-friendly. The Steam Workshop offers great additional assets. Highly recommended.
Surprised how well this runs on my ailing laptop that has to be plugged in to boot up. Fun and pretty simple. The birds make me happy while I mappy.
