I capitulated to pleasure
my favorite game of all time right here. this is my third copy of SMTV (original and vengeance on switch steelbook) and then this version. if im crazy enough i might buy the playstation version too if theres a disk version i can find. Genuinely a really good game. the ONLY issue i have with vengeance (spoilers for vengeance chaos route ahead)
at the end of the vengeance chaos route, i dont really like the romance bit between protag and Yoko. while i understand it's supposed to evoke a new world's Adam and Eve, it just didn't work out for me PERSONALLY and it feels shoehorned or forced into an otherwise romance-less storyline.
regardless of that, i still absolutely LOVE this game and it's my favorite megaten game (i started with the persona series and then found SMT) and like i said, it's simply my FAVORITE game.
exploration, crazy story twists, meaningful choices, turn based combat full of style super fun game
Bought this game on discount and got addicted for the next 85 hours and still going strong. If you've been on the fence about this game or like persona, I would recommend trying this game (except instead of bonding with your friends, you kill them to ascend higher)
真好玩,阿特拉斯厉害捏
Lacks nuance of proceeding games. Mythology implemented felt very lack luster and b-rate horror flick implementation, not the fun to watch and laugh kind. The whole release the game then "psych here's the full game!" was... wow... wow. Last game I'll get in the SMT series. SMT is just the same story told over and over again essentially. You play one you played them all. Just play 3 and call it good. Ultimately nothing too new, stories in SMT fairly all the same gambit told slightly different. Nothing ground breaking or "oh wow that's new and different" but I think the SMT fan base is probably rather insular so it won't matter to those deeply attached to the series, they know their audience.
