Most standard programming puts me to sleep. Sitting at a desk writing high level software or clicking through industrial PLC ladder logic all day isn't why I got into engineering. I prefer systems with physical weight—diagnosing actual mechanical faults, and designing machines that actually move. But SHENZHEN I/O is different. This isn't just a coding simulator; it’s a masterclass in bare-metal machine code. It captures the exact, unfiltered reality of hardware-software integration. You aren't relying on libraries to do the heavy lifting. You are fighting for physical space on a circuit board, managing power constraints, and shuffling data through a single accumulator bottleneck just to make a piece of silicon function. It trains your brain to think in raw state machines, conditional skips, and register-level logic. 10/10. It will permanently rewire how you look at physical machinery.

I feel very chinese while playing this game
Fantastic microcontroller-based programming puzzle game, I totally got nerd sniped for ~30 hours. The solitaire minigame is quite satisfying too. My only major complaint is the lack of lower resolution options (or at least a text magnifier - even a pop up edit window with enlarged text would have been nice). On a 14in MacBook I found the text eye-strainingly small. The main campaign ranged from tutorial-easy up to a satisfying level of challenge (disclaimer: CS teacher here). You can also roll your own challenge by trying to optimize for one or more of the three provided metrics. Haven't tried the bonus campaign yet, and who knows if I will because I've heard it's wicked hard to fit the solutions within the limitations, but I'm glad it exists.

个人评分9.7,很适合初入学电子专业学生游玩的游戏,可以用来了解行业工作。但距离现实的工作要求差太多,现实中的芯片手册才不会就几十页,都是上千页;而且现实中的汇编语言也不会那么简单,不会只有加减乘除和简单的判断;现实的芯片也不会只有这么差性能。虽然这个游戏的编程很简单,但它依旧很有学习价值,因为它有许多极其贴近应用场景的事例,在极其差的芯片性能下去借助各类外接模块从而解决问题,真的很锻炼硬件思维能力!!!
