I could not believe such a great game is that cheap, honestly worth the money I spent, if I could rewind time I would do it just to experience it again. LOVED IT <3
There is no explanation to anything in this game, this game is beyond frustrating, and is not fun. I can not vote against this game strongly enough.
I won't hide it, I really enjoyed my experience with 'Sheba: A New Dawn'. It's truly captivating, not just because of its beautiful graphics and exciting storyline, but because it gave me a genuine sense of immersion in its world. I highly recommend trying out the game. Thank you
I have played more than 8 hours. I am a fan of Ragnarok Online and I like to build the Paladin full INT/VIT. This really reminds me of that. I get more magic power and a bit tanky with INT/RES/VIT. Cant wait for the new content.
This had the potential to be a fairly decent game. The story was somewhat interesting and some of the mechanics were fairly unique. It's May 2026, and the last update for the game was in July of 2024. Seems like the game has been finished for a while, right? Spoiler - the game is *not* finished. This should be Early Access, not a full release. The "Roadmap" released by the developers shows "More Main Quests, More Abilities" coming in October 2024, another major release in May 2025, and even more features beyond that. They never arrived. After a few miscellaneous adventures, you arrive at what appears to be the main quest of the game, which seems to be to retrieve four objects, each associated with one of the four classical elements, from four different areas. After finishing the first area, a dialog box popped up saying "To be continued...". The quest for this area did not complete, and there is nowhere else to go. I have literally reached the end of the content. Attempting to leave a zone for an unfinished zone pops up an empty dialog box. I thought at first maybe this meant "you aren't ready for this area yet", but apparently it also means the area isn't implemented. There are other places where blank dialog boxes appear, making it somewhat confusing because you don't always know if something important has happened or not. The levelling system is very Diablo-esque - the game gives you points which you allocate to your skills - but the game never tells you it's giving you these points or what to do with them. Similarly, your equipment is "gems" which you equip to give you various stat bonuses, but this is never explained. You could be level 10 and having difficulty with easier enemies simply because you didn't know you were supposed to make yourself stronger, or how to do it. There are also "skill points" which you use to buy new attacks with your sword, but the only way to get these points at the moment seems to be to purchase them from the shop. Again, this entire game mechanic is left completely unexplained, and you have to discover it entirely on your own. I absolutely cannot recommend this game. There are plenty of games out there with confusing messages, unexplained mechanics, and frustrating gameplay. These things make a game less appealing, but aren't necessarily a deal-breaker. The real issue is that the game simply is not finished. One-quarter of the main quest is done, and that's all. If it was languishing in Early Access and effectively abandoned by the developers, that would be one thing, but this is being sold as a completed product, and that is simply not the case. Hopefully someday they get around to finishing this game. After almost two years with no word, though, I'm not going to hold my breath.
I really wanted to like this but I just find the experience of playing it very unenjoyable. The art style is lovely and the story is intriguing with some great voice-acting and amusing dialogue. It's a shame then that playing the game is an exercise in frustration with exceedingly dated mechanics I thought had been left in the 8-bit era of platformers. You have a metroidvania with a map that doesn't actually tell you anything about that place your in currently nor does it give you clear detail about where you have been with only the amount of map section you have completed (completion being how many urns and jars you've smashed). You have stats you can upgrade but no indication of what these stats do. You pick up gems that appear to upgrade your character but an interface that makes it very difficult and unintuitive to do so. Healing items can be picked up from smashing the jars that litter the world but they are a one-time only pick up with you relying on a shop to buy more (at least there is some fast travel). The game itself has some uninspired combat and the exploration is not encouraged because of arbitrary dead-ends and yet you need to explore because it's never made clear where you are supposed to go. As much as I was charmed by the characters and the story I just found this game far too frustrating and lacked too much fun to continue playing after a couple of hours of wondering if it would ever get better.
I like the story, but don‘t like the control. I'm a very old gamer :)) and to be honest my favorite genre is real-time strategy games like Command&Conquer, but Metroidvania has been always one of the games that I found easy to understand and have great fun pretty quickly. Sheba: a new dawn has surpassed my expectations and played it more than one hour so far. Story is really interesting with surprise twists and voiceacting is close to wht you can expect from AAA games. Overall, it took back to the days when I played the pioneer of this genre, Prince of Persia. Immediately I had this connection to good old days while playing Sheba. thank you guys for bringing back my childhood meories. Great job! I hope you think of a sequal to this story in the future.
Been waiting for this for months now and honestly... it delivered. I'd say it's one of the best metroidvania games out there, great story, great voice actors, and great combat. I've already recommended it to friends :)
This game has the classics of metroidvania it reminds me of castlevania symphony of the night but with Aladdin style! What a lovely experience, highly recommended !
