We need a second game of this. I miss it.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

very good game, if you like stealth and physics and grappling hooks and bombs and dropping crates on people you will love this game
absolutely lovely game and so much fun to play i am going to play it again BRILL
the goat
I can't remember being this addicted to a linear stealth game since Mark of the Ninja. Stealth and platforming feel good, and the rewind mechanic more than makes up for any jankiness in the physics. There are a lot of viable ways to play the game. Unlike a lot of other games in the genre, it doesn't really punish you for going lethal, just for not keeping it secret. So you can play mercifully, focusing on distraction and avoidance, or you can murder every single guard in the game, piling their bodies in haystacks when little Lily isn't watching you. You can use your quite satisfying knife, or you can build rat torpedoes out of metal balls and explosives (and rats). Or you can just fling crates around until everyone dies. It's nice to see a fantasy game take place in a dense city, instead of the typical forests and villages. I love the lighting, architecture, and general atmosphere. It's dark, spooky, and cozy at the same time. The game feels quite long to me, but relatively sparse on new content. There are only two types of enemy, and no NPCs or other characters aside from the two main ones. It's a very focused game, but Rivendon is such an evocative place that I want to see more of it. Would love to see it expanded in a sequel someday, though that's probably unlikely. This is one of those games that sends me on the hunt for other games that can deliver the same feeling, but they're not easy to find.
Shadwen is a stealth-action adventure developed and published by Frozenbyte that places a strong emphasis on patience, observation, and creative problem-solving. Rather than relying on fast-paced combat or direct confrontation, the game encourages players to embrace the role of a silent assassin navigating dangerous environments while avoiding detection. Set within a dark medieval world, the story follows the mysterious assassin Shadwen as she embarks on a mission to eliminate a tyrannical king. Along the way, she is unexpectedly joined by a young girl named Lily, whose presence adds emotional depth and moral complexity to an otherwise straightforward revenge tale. One of the most distinctive aspects of the game is its unique time-control system. Time advances only when the player moves, transforming traditional stealth gameplay into a more strategic and deliberate experience. This mechanic removes much of the pressure commonly associated with stealth games and allows players to carefully analyze enemy patrols, study environmental hazards, and plan their actions without feeling rushed. The ability to rewind time further supports experimentation, making mistakes less punishing and encouraging players to try different solutions until they find the approach that works best. The game's stealth mechanics are built around creativity rather than simple avoidance. Shadwen possesses a grappling hook that can interact with numerous objects throughout the environment. Players can pull down structures, trigger traps, create distractions, and manipulate surroundings to bypass or eliminate guards without engaging in direct combat. These environmental interactions often become the most enjoyable part of the experience, as each area feels like a puzzle waiting to be solved. Whether sneaking through rooftops, setting up accidents, or quietly moving between shadows, the game consistently rewards thoughtful planning. A major theme throughout the adventure is the relationship between Shadwen and Lily. The young girl constantly observes the protagonist's actions, and the player's choices influence how she perceives the assassin. While the game never presents morality in an overly dramatic or heavy-handed manner, it subtly encourages players to consider non-lethal alternatives whenever possible. This dynamic adds an extra layer of tension because every violent decision feels like it carries consequences beyond simply removing an obstacle. The narrative itself remains relatively simple, but the evolving bond between the two characters helps maintain interest from beginning to end. Visually, Shadwen delivers a moody and atmospheric world filled with castles, villages, forests, and guarded fortifications. The environments successfully establish a sense of danger and secrecy that complements the stealth-focused gameplay. Lighting and shadows play an important role in maintaining immersion, while the sound design contributes to the tension through guard conversations, environmental noises, and subtle audio cues. Although some locations can feel repetitive over extended play sessions, the overall presentation effectively supports the game's themes and mechanics. The game is not without shortcomings. Enemy behavior occasionally feels inconsistent, and the physics-driven interactions can sometimes produce unintended outcomes. Certain sections move at a slower pace than necessary, and players looking for a more action-oriented experience may find the deliberate design too methodical. Lily's companion AI can also create moments of frustration, particularly when navigating more complex areas. While these issues do not significantly undermine the experience, they prevent the game from fully realizing its ambitious concepts. Despite its flaws, Shadwen succeeds because it offers a genuinely different interpretation of stealth gameplay. The combination of time manipulation, environmental problem-solving, and moral storytelling creates an experience that stands apart from many genre competitors. It rewards patience, experimentation, and careful observation rather than reflexes alone. Players willing to embrace its slower pace will discover a thoughtful and inventive adventure filled with memorable stealth scenarios and satisfying puzzle-like encounters. Rating: 7/10
Stealth game - not enough of these on the market anymore - it's a bit easy but I liked it.
