Sad story. A young girl is taken from her werewolf mum, lied to and experimented on with elixirs, all because dad wants her to be "normal". Normal is so overrated imo. Nice art though and interesting puzzles.
lots of HO screens and puzzles, nice graphics too. interesting music
I'll keep this review short and highlight the main points of interest. Just experimenting with different review styles. Even though this game's release date is 2017, it often gives the feeling of being much older: archaic screen resolution, no achievements, no steam badges, no collectables... not even a bonus chapter! Considering most hidden object games have either all or most of these now, Shadow Wolves can seem like it doesn't have much to offer. Not so! Despite all these points, the game has some nice and fast screen transitions, without all the fluffy animations that can get so lame with the newer, hipster titles. And it has loads, LOADS of hidden object mess scenes. And that one point is enough to give it a resounding thumbs up from me. So many hidden object games fill the game up with puzzles and animations and story that the gameplay often takes a huge hit. With Shadow Wolves you can return to the bare bones searching through piles of rubbish for your shopping list of items, without having to worry about getting the wrong types of puzzles, or wondering if you'll even get any mess scenes at all. The art may not be the greatest - the locations are very 2D and reminiscent of looking at a painting, with lots of soft edges and pastel smudge, but it's a minor sore point on an otherwise great game. I played on hard and got stuck at least twice, but some of my problems came from not reading the stylised gothic font correctly. If you're looking for a HOG that has loads of mess scenes, then you can't go past this one. It's starting to get a bit ripe though so be sure to wait for a sale.
I got to say this game got me hooked for 4 hours straight. I like mysteries behind these games, I like the atmosphere, the environmental music is spot on, the villain might be in plain sight and the enemy fight not much developed, but it was all worth it. This is the sequel of Shadow Wolf Mysteries: Curse of the Full Moon. The unnamed detective has to solve a case that needs magical intervention as a dear girl is troubled by the curse of her biological family. You have to save Veronica by giving back her humanity. PROS: - Beautiful scenery; - Enviromental music is spot on; - The journal design just inspires; - Main game + Bonus chapter; - Diverse minigames. CONS: - Repetitive music; - Dialogues cannot be heard because they're linked with the Sound; - No trading cards, nor achievements. - Repetitive HOs. All in all, this game is worth to play, especially if you like detective novels and werewolves all together.

I would recommend this game to anyone. 5 stars.
As much as some of the puzzles or things make no sense sometimes. The item searches and the puzzles are still fun and the story is still nice too. I would say that I do not use the notes too much in the game and you can still understand the story and figure stuff out without the notes. But overall a fun game.
