Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Sep 18 → 2.25/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Selaco is a brand new original shooter inspired by classics, featuring thrilling action set pieces, destructibility, smart enemies and a fleshed out story taking place within an immersive game world. It draws inspiration heavily from F.E.A.R. in terms of action set pieces, while mixing exploration elements from Half-Life, along with some more modern features.

The story takes place during a violent invasion on Selaco, a massive space station sheltering the last refugees after Earth’s fall just a few years prior. You play as Dawn Collins, an ACE Security Captain who, with her recent promotion and high level security clearances, is digging deep into the truth behind Selaco's murky history. Before she can finish her investigation, Selaco is rocked by explosions and armed invaders.

A lengthy adventure-driven campaign
Selaco offers a massive, uninterrupted journey packed with action and atmosphere. Explore a wide range of environments in a fully connected world - no cutaways, no time jumps, just seamless momentum from start to finish.
Intense Action set pieces
Blast through your environment with impactful weapons that really leave a mark on the world. That once lavish office space, now nothing but a pile of rubble with broken paintings, smashed tables, screen, chairs, smoke, and chunks of debris.
Custom AI
Selaco’s AI was built from the ground up for dynamic, coordinated combat. Enemies communicate, flank, suppress, and adapt to your tactics - keeping pressure when you're aggressive or rushing when you're vulnerable. Hundreds of voiced lines hint at their next move, making every fight feel alive.
Full soundtrack
Selaco features an original, full-length soundtrack composed by Lawrence Steele, with over 3 hours of neon-tinged electronica spanning from high-intensity combat tracks to immersive, atmospheric soundscapes.
Adapt & Overcome
As enemies evolve and gain access to new tools, so do you. Improve your weaponry with new utility upgrades, or transform weapon behavior entirely with Weapon Kits.
Replayability
Selaco is designed with replayability in mind. Jump into Randomizer Mode to experience remixed mechanics, exclusive enemies, and fully customizable chaos. Or test your skills in Incursion Mode (coming later during Early Access), an endless survival challenge set in Deathmatch-style arenas.

Reviews
Um shooter retro muito rápido, com muita acção, armas potentes e níveis grandes. É excelente, mas por vezes também é fácil de ficar perdido nos mapas sem saber muito bem para onde ir.
A pretty good shooter with a solid selection of weapons and nice looking graphig style. The gameplay feels very smooth and responsive and there are a lot of upgrades for every weapon. The enemies are clever, and it's fun to fight them. The level design is appealing and offers dozens of secrets to discover and the music is absolutely fantastic. The only downside is that it's sometimes hard to find the right path, especially on your first playthrough.

Selaco is not merely good, it's a brilliant beacon of truly inspired game design. First things first; the strikingly distinctive visual style and the sheer amount of environmental details this game manages to squeeze out of GZDoom engine is nothing short of miraculous. The game world is filled with lovingly rendered voxel objects that get annihilated during the frantic firefights. It's simply beautiful. The only caveat of the ancient game engine is that the enemies are 2D sprites. However, even if you've moved on to fighting strictly polygonal enemies decades ago, I urge you to give this game a shot. You'll be doing yourself a favor. Regarding gameplay, Selaco is not a typical boomer shooter. Enemy encounters are fast paced and brutal, but they're also highly tactical. Between the firefights that constantly escalate in difficulty, you're incentivized to comb the levels for secrets and upgrades to give yourself an edge. These upgrades can transform your weapon arsenal from effective to an outright crime against humanity (or aliens, in this case). You can even go back to earlier areas to pick up stuff you might have missed while fighting for your survival. Thus, Selaco feels like a mixture of the best bits of games like F.E.A.R., Half-Life, System Shock, Resident Evil and Metroid Prime. If that description is not enough to sell this gem of a game to you, I don't know what will.
One of the best shooters I've played. It has amazing gunplay, tons of replayability with the randomizer mode, and it makes you want to get better at the game. Its really fun (and quite challenging) on the highest difficulty. The environments really do tie the whole the game together. I appreciate all the storytelling that is conveyed through the different levels and the little details you see along the way. Selaco feels like a real place and I would want to live there! The parking garage and shopping mall levels are highlights. This game has huge potential and I can't wait to see what Chapter 2 brings.
Guns go brrrrrr
Świetna gra, umiejętnie łączy stare z nowym. Grafika naprawdę robi wrażenie pokazując możliwości gzdoom. Muzyka świetnie podkreśla klimat i tempo rozgrywki unikając popadania w nostalgie.
good game

Every reviewer of this game is legally obligated to mention that it runs on GZDoom and a lot of the things in it are pretty impressive knowing that they've all been built on top of Doom, and the game certainly doesn't discourage you from making that comparison considering that it's full of references to Doom's modding community. But beyond that it seems to have learned all the right lessons from every FPS released since - it has the enemy AI of F.E.A.R., the puzzle design of Half-Life 2, the storytelling and tactical combat of Halo, and the wonderful exploration of Duke Nukem 3D, all while retaining Doom's perfect control feel and aesthetics. It has a great atmosphere too - beyond the superficially cool sci-fi aesthetics, the story, the difficulty, and the more intelligent enemy AI combine to make this game feel like you're up against overwhelming odds, and the reason you've survived while the rest of Selaco's inhabitants are being wiped out is mostly due to sheer luck. I'm super glad to have been introduced to this game by Civvie 11, and I look forward to finishing my campaign, then replaying the game when Episode 2 comes out. Since the devs asked for criticisms in Steam reviews, I have a couple, though I'm not sure if they're actionable: - The world of Selaco is huge, and I appreciate that, but it's sometimes a little too big for its own good. Every map, let alone every level, is big even for a modern Doom WAD. In some levels it's very easy to get lost for long periods of time, which is sometimes a positive opportunity to appreciate the scenery, but sometimes devolves into running in circles looking for the next thing. - Since most of the objects are voxels, and the ones that aren't have lots of rotations, the dead enemies, which are flat billboards with no rotations, end up looking really weird and jarring when looking down at them. It also looks jarring in Doom, but that's why I turn off freelook and play the old-school way, which doesn't seem like an option in a game as advanced as Selaco.
