Secrets of Magic 2: Witches and Wizards

If you enjoyed the previous game in the series, you will enjoy this one too. 100 more levels of Match 3 fun.

A tepid thumbs down, it all works but that is about all that can said for it. The game is a bog standard match-three game with a cute little story. Unlike the more sophisticated match-three games, it does allow for matches made by drops to be fully effective, making things pretty easy. There are six power-ups which you pick up pretty quickly. They are pretty basic, and oddly some of them have no use on a lot of levels. For example there is one that helps you kill imps, but imps are not on a lot of levels. They can each be upgraded twice using gold coins you collect along the way. It is a straight linear two upgrades, with no variety, options or decisions to be made about how or when to do so. I maxed them all out a little over half way thru, and as near as I can tell, money means nothing from here on out. There are 100 levels I think, I got a 'half-way' achievement at fifty. This will make it a very short game for full price. I got it in a decent sale, and it still feels kind of pricey. It doesn't help that there are EIGHTY levels where you collect tokens that do nothing until you've got them all. In short, a marked lack of creativity or effort. Graphics are a tad on the ugly side, animation is okay, music adds nothing but doesn't hurt either. The controls (mouse only after giving yourself a name) work just fine. If what you are looking for is a simple time waster requiring little to no thought or effort, that you should be able to finish in two or three days, this might be a decent pick up, but don't pay more than 99 cents. ADDENDUM: 7.6 hours start to finish. A totally lackluster ending, levels never really ramp up the difficulty or anything. Totally blah.

Decent Match-3 game. Not terribly challenging (I got 3 stars my first playthrough on each level), but about 10 or 15 of the 100 levels require some strategy to get 3 stars. The graphics are colorful, and I didn't experience any bugs. The music is a little odd (the menu screen music reminds me of "Carol of the Bells" which is a weird association to make for spooky game, but most of the music is non-intrusive background music. I didn't like that I had a brief loading screen between every screen swap, and I hated that I had to replay 71 levels on a second profile to complete the Crystals Collector achievement. Overall, it's an enjoyable Match-3 game for casual players (although achievement hunters might get a little frustrated).

One achievement 'damaged'. Crystal Collector - 5 crystal short. Finished all other achievements, so the game was done. Had to play as a second player and complete over 20 levels to unlock the achievement. Otherwise a good match 3 game. Easier and better than the first in the series. Only the first two have achievements, so I will not play the others. Otherwise, I would.

Ich würde dieses 3 Gewinnt bzw. 3 - Matches empfehlen! Ich habe es jetzt komplett durch mit 100 Leveln und es hat mir sehr gut gefallen! Es ist gerade für Anfänger oder welche wo es noch nie oft probiert haben, diesen Genres besonderst geeignet, da man die Schwierigkeit auch auf gelassen und ohne Zeitdruck spielen kann!!! Es ist für mich auf jeden Fall einen Grund es irgendwann wieder zu spielen, vielleicht dann gegen die Zeit! Es ist nicht gerade absolut mein Grafikstil, dennoch hat es mir trotzdem gut gefallen und mich in den Bann gezogen es weiter zu zocken!

1편과 크게 다르진 않지만 각 스테이지 클리어 후 요약시 획득하는 별의 획득방법이 1탄에는 총 점수로 평가하는 반면, 2탄에서는 총 획득 점수가 아닌 잔여 이동가능 횟수로 평가합니다. 점수자체는 게임에서 아무 의미가 없어졌고, 최대한 적은 이동 횟수로 클리어해야 별 3개를 획득 가능합니다. 자잘한 버그가 있긴한데 큰 영향을 미치지는 않고 챌린지 모드로 무난히 클리어 가능합니다. 도전과제를 노리시는 분은 도전과제 중 하나인 메달려있는 거미를 햇불로 잡는 도전과제를 생각해두시고 하시면 반복플레이는 필요없을겁니다. 편하게 할 수 있고, 콤보가 잘 나오는 편이라 제대로 터지면 시원한 감도 있어요. 재밌게 했습니다.

Secrets of Magic 1 and 2 are two of my favourite Match 3 games! I am looking forward to Secrets of Magic 3.
