Eh, it's not great. A slow, clunky, awkward jrpg with fairly poor presentation. The quality of the art varies rather drastically.
Psychology is a fake science
Science Girls is a game that holds a very deep and strong connection to my childhood. I don't know how or when I encountered it, but I loved every minute of playing through this game with the alien world and all roughly 28 of their creative designs. For a game running on a visual novel engine, Science girls is a unique experience and I highly recommend it for all ages. Redownloading it off of Steam inspired me to work with Ren'PY myself, and I may have gotten a little carried away trying to jump to different labels to research its mechanics. That being said, I will spoiler nothing in this review, but there is ABSOLUTELY NO WIKI DOCUMENTARY or let's plays or anything whatsoever on Science Girls and it deeply saddens me. If you're reading this, PLEASE give it a chance. I wish to see it grow and flourish as I have.
Poorly made.
fun on the steamdeck.
Very cute. Anime girl power vs. alien vegetables. Psychoanalyze a turnip? You bet. Give a flying pear a Vulcan neck pinch? Absolutely. I think Missy is my favorite (the computer geek) with her "spam" attack. Those girls are smart, too, using knowledge of quantum physics to escape from a collapsing alien wormhole. Play on easy if you just want to enjoy the story line, or crank up the difficulty if you don't mind grinding for power points.
Nope. Its heart is in the right place but there are a lot of flaws that can't be overlooked : - It's technically very weak. I'm pretty sure making it in RPGMaker would have been better. I mean travelling through the second part of the game in the swamps is a chore. You move by clicking around with the cursor and you watch the map scrolling slowly and not very smoothly as if the game had been coded in GW-BASIC - Too many fights. Most of them aren't difficult but there are so many that it quickly became tiresome. However the story was well written and funny (not taking itself too seriously). If you really want to play it lower the difficulty and be done with it.
Bad
good game
Fun little RPG, don't expect nothing with amazing graphics or insane new mechanic. Its just a simple little RPG killing plant monsters.
