I enjoyed this beautifully tragic tale, the narration and music set the atmosphere nicely for the read
everything about this sound novel was so lovely. from the prose itself to the voice acting (i could listen to yoritada konoe talk all day), they all were so good. it's so atmospheric that it honestly sucked me in more than i thought it could. kudos to everyone involved in the making of it <3

There’s a lot I want to say about Scarlet and Blank, though most of it comes down to how deeply this incredible story touched me. I’d rather share those personal feelings directly with the developers, so here I’ll focus on the more straightforward aspects of the game.
Scarlet and Blank Can’t Be Read as Something Trivial
Take a seat. Make yourself comfortable. If you can, get some tea, coffee, or just water, and take a few minutes to meditate before playing this game. You’ll want to pay attention to every sentence and read slowly, trying to truly grasp the meaning behind the words. Francine Prose, who wrote Reading Like a Writer, describes this as the ideal way to read anything. But in a game as deep and atmospheric as Scarlet and Blank, this approach isn’t just ideal—it’s essential. So take your time. Pause between chapters if needed. As you read, treat the experience like a meditative activity, where music, voice acting, and meaning flow from every character. This game is short, and its plot is simple. Yet you’ll find complex emotions in every phrase. That’s why I feel it’s important to take your time, to reflect and feel each sentence. With every moment, I found myself thinking about the lives the characters have led—and even more than that, I wondered what kind of person Miho, the game’s author, must be to express such profound emotions through storytelling. There are still feelings and symbols I haven’t fully understood, and honestly, I wish I could spend hours talking with Miho to better understand the world within each character. I’m truly grateful I got to play this game. It has become one of my favorite visual novels, even though I understand it’s not for everyone—and that’s perfectly okay. Not every story will resonate with everyone. We all have our own worldviews and life experiences. Still, I hope that among all of you, there are others who will understand and enjoy this game as much as I did. My only request is this: even if the story doesn’t reach you, please don’t leave a dislike. It may not be your kind of story, but there is nothing technically flawed about it that would justify a negative rating. Omituofo.
