Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Sep 3 → 0.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I buy this game and play because Sakuna voiced by Naomi Ozora !!!! KANSAI YA !!! DOU YA NEN ??!?! NAN DE YA NEN ?!?! UDON WA OKAZU YA !!!!
combat is fun, not too meaty but enjoyably the farming is complex in the best way, focusing on a single crop means the game can have an unprecedented amount of depth making you actually care for your rice in a way no other game in the genre has come close to the story is very enjoyably as well, fitting for it's subject a lot of it is about personal growth which is true both for the main character and her newfound companions, growing and maturing as people and coming together

I really enjoyed this game.... it takes you by surprise... but the amount of work put into the rice field farming system is amazing.... to the point that it really goes overboard, it takes years (in game i mean) to actually start to understand what you are doing. Not that you need to do a perfect job or anything.... but if you get obsessed about aiming for near perfect results... this thing will drive you mad, xd Gameplay is engaging and fun, while still leaving ways to customize your gameplay and try different things. I had a great time with it, sometimes it maybe become a little tiring..... growing the fields seriously can take a lot of your energy But still a great and pretty unique game

While first impressions might suggest Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin is a side-scrolling action platformer, what it actually is is an in-depth rice-farming simulator that includes a free side-scrolling action platformer - adventuring out into the wilderness to hunt demons is just a part of a gameplay loop that revolves around the cultivation of rice, from seeds to sprouts to fields of grain ripe for the harvest, and I never knew how much I wanted that until I got it!

Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin is a solid action platformer mixed with a fairly simple farm sim. Going in, my expectations weren't super high. I'd heard good things about Sakuna and it seemed like a nice, cozy way to give myself a change of pace. What I ended up getting was even more than I expected, mostly in positive ways but also a few negative ways as well. The farm sim aspect was pretty well put together. This is the first farm sim that I've played so I'm not too familiar, but it struck a nice balance of not overcomplicating things while still making you feel like you have enough control over how your rice turns out. My only real gripes with this part of the game are some "negative conditions" that affect your rice seem untreatable, or sometimes you'll get multiple conditions at the same time that seem to contradict each other, like "overgrown" and "underdeveloped". Maybe this is by design, but the tips that you get for treating said conditions are pretty bare-bones and it's tough to figure out exactly what you need to do sometimes. Overall though, still enjoyed this part. Then there is the action/platforming aspect of the game. While your rice is growing, you go out to explore the surrounding area to advance the plot and gather materials. While the combat and platforming aren't necessarily difficult, they lack enough polish to make them a smooth experience. Enemies can clip through objects in the environment and hit you from off screen or become un-hittable. Also, there isn't a reliable dodge option. Using your raiment to dodge requires skill points, so if you use a skill you have to wait for it to recharge just to dodge. And the parry technique is difficult. You'll do it by accident way more than on purpose, and this combination can lead to some frustrating sequences of being juggled by enemies without being able to do anything. That said, your stats are tied to the output of your rice. At some point, after you've grown enough rice, you'll be able to breeze through most of the enemies without any challenge. While this was still pretty satisfying as I wasn't really looking for a challenge in this game, it was a little anticlimactic burning through all the final bosses without even trying. The reason I want to bring up the negative aspects of my experience though is because I did enjoy this game a lot, and I honestly think it could've been a masterpiece with more polish and attention to detail. I know it's a smaller studio, but I've played other action platformers from small studios who've managed to get these things right. The characters were actually much more interesting and well written than I was expecting, and the story had some genuinely strong moments. Sakuna has all of the makings of a game of the year, and I would love to see a potential sequel achieve those heights. TL;DR - Sakuna is a fun way to change things up and enjoy a unique adventure that succeeds in blending farm sim with action platforming. While not without its flaws, there is a solid 8/10 experience here. If they can polish a handful of things up, I have no doubt that a sequel could truly be a 10/10 game.
