Surprisingly intuitive and well made for 2008. Unfortunately, I could not experience a great deal of the game without jumping through many hoops which resulted in a corrupted save file. Do NOT purchase this game via Steam.
Saints Row 2 understood something a lot of modern open-world games seem to have forgotten. Fun comes first. One minute you're taking over gangs and getting revenge. The next you're spraying sewage across neighbourhoods or causing complete mayhem because someone thought insurance fraud should be a sport. The magic is how effortlessly it balances ridiculous humour with genuinely memorable story moments. Beneath all the chaos is a surprisingly well-written cast that gives you reasons to actually care about what's happening. Customisation remains outstanding, the activities are endlessly entertaining, and Steelport's predecessor, Stilwater, still feels like one of gaming's best sandbox cities. Saints Row 2 never cared about realism. It cared about making sure you finished every session with at least one story that started with, "You'll never believe what just happened..." Then the rest of the series came a long and really show that Saints Row 2 was peak of the experience.
Saints Row 2 is one of my favorite games of all time with a review scored dampened by the PC port being awful and not including the DLC that was on console. I've played this game about a million times, and now thanks to a community that loves the game to death, it actually works on PC as intended, with all content included. The series may have ended(?) terribly, but the past can't be tampered with, and this game is so good that it's worth playing even if you never want to try any other Saints Row. Install these three things to fix the game and add all content: Juiced Patch PC DLC High Quality Radio An official patch was planned and being made by legendary community member and eventually Volition Community Manager Mike Watson, A.K.A. Idolninja. The community loved him, and he loved this game. It would have released if the company wasn't shut down and if he didn't pass due to cancer. But he died doing what he loved, and made one of the most influential and popular mods for Saints Row 2, Gentlemen of the Row. and with the Juiced Patch, he has a tribute at the top of the credits. Rest In Peace. Go and enjoy this amazing game in his honor. The Saints Row series means so much to me, and being able to experience this again in all its glory was so amazing that I had to 100% it. This is without a doubt the best game in the series, so don't feel bad if you just play this one. Special thanks to mrsaintsgodzilla21 and Flippy for their amazing Saints Row coverage, they're extremely dedicated fans and I grew up watching them. It's our time now. Let's get this ♥♥♥♥ started!

Volition!
classic crime sandbox game. you're going to want to download a fan patch for a stable/full experience. it's very worth the time put in. this game is like if you took the character customization of the sims and put it into a drama/comedy rise to power criminal narrative. nothing gives a similar feeling... maybe the gangster parts of san andreas come close.
Juego entretenido.
