POSTAL 4: No Regerts

the game doesn't run good at all, and honestly i think Postal III had more love put into it then this one, there is really no point in exploring the map since most places you will want to check out (like the mall) you will end up running around it with nothing but a headache

It's been now 5 years since P4 was announced, and 4 since it's been released. I still remember the day when I got an email from RWS, announcing P4. And as a huge Postal fan I was literally jumping in joy, finally getting a proper sequel to P2. I wish I knew back then, what this game would become, and I still cant believe they managed to f*** it up this bad. P4 lacks everything that made P2 such a masterpiece. It has no soul, no art direction, its the equivalent of a better version of an unreal engine 4 slop game. It bothers me so much, P1 and 2 both have amazing gritty artstyle, and when you look at this.. it just really wants to make you say "is this it?". Postal Redux has the same problem, the art direction is gone completely, which makes it look really generic and boring, but at least it's kinda fun. So, the graphics and general art direction are awful, what else is there? The open world for example, is too open for its own good. I find it really weird that the outside is really barebones while the insides of houses are so cluttered with random ♥♥♥♥, that you cant even figure out what's a pickable item. Making it really frustrating mostly, when trying to look for loot. Since humor is subjective, I wont comment on it too much. Honestly for me, I think it degraded quite a bit from P2, especially with all the toilet humor. But who knows, maybe in 10 years people will get a laugh out of the corona virus jokes at least. I think that I dont even need to talk about the super atrocious performance that every 2nd review talks about. Even after 4 years it still runs really bad. It lags a lot and sudden fps drops are the norm. At this point, I honestly think that its unsaveable no matter what RWS does. One of the few things that I do like are all the voice actor options, even though that Rick Hunter sounds like they were holding him in the voice booth against his will. The easter eggs/references and collectibles, which give you an actual reason to explore an otherwise empty world are a really nice addition too. And weapons, they feel punchy and heavy, and not that stiff and weak like P2's rifles. But the dismemberment being mostly limited just for the edged weapons was a let down. And also, who asked for CO-OP? From a development point of view, I think that CO-OP was holding RWS back so much, with all the tweaks and additions. Postal was never a multiplayer game, so why even think about implementing it, when you have a barely functional singleplayer. It just doesn't make sense. I've been coming back to P4 after every big update, hoping something would change, or that I would suddenly like the game, but after 4 years, only the performance got a bit better and the homes got more cluttered. Last thing I want to mention, Im honestly really happy that RWS decided to hand the P2 remake to another developer, I cant imagine what they would do to it, after this abomination came out. As for the upcoming Flesh and Wire, I couldn't care less. From the trailers, it still looks pretty souless to me and I don't really see the point of it honestly.

alright.. This is Postal 3 part 2 at this point I bought this back in 2019 (for $40) and have had 3 different PCs, from an RTX 2060 all the way to a 4060 and it STILL has performance issues 7 YEARS later. The devs has been neutered, if you're looking for that 00's bad boy edge, just play Postal 2. It is with a heavy heart I uninstall once and for all. RWS I don't know wtf has been happening behind the curtains, but I bid you farewell. No longer a fan.

Game has a ugly design, the performance is bad even with a 4070 super, And it wants to constantly launch into the wrong monitor, no updates will fix this game, its time to rebuild it completely or delist it from the store, you should not be selling a postal game that is just as bad as postal 3

Yeah gonna be honest the games ♥♥♥♥, has the humour of an edgy 8 year old just poop humour swearing and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ political humour worse then the democrat tiktok account. The game is a buggy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and isnt good at all.

This game has SO much potential it is such a good game, but it has many performance based problems. i know my pc specs aren't the absolute best but they're by no means bad. I've tweaked settings for so long and i still cant get a solid frame rate without a lot of stuttering. gameplay is good story is good optimization though is horrible for pc. that basically sums up a lot of these reviews. i know its in early access but they really need to address and send out some fixes for optimization. and if you are thinking about playing this on steam deck, please don't. performance is even worse it looks horrible and it runs at like 30 fps "verified" doesn't mean it runs good it just means its playable as in it wont crash and the controls work

I put all my settings at the lowest and i still cant play for more then 10 minutes. I WAS so excited to play this cause i liked postal 3... HOW DOES POSTAL THREE HAVE MORE LOVE THEN THIS!?!?!? anyway I HOPE postal 2 redux wont be as Bullcrap as this... sigh RWS please fix this game i cant even finish Monday without it crashing and I would have loved to play this with friends but... I CANT EVEN RUN THE DUMB GAME!!!!!!!!!!!

this game isn't good or fun, it doesn't even feel like a postal game with how lame the jokes are. This game is incredibly underwhelming and really hard to like at all, they 100% lost their edge and are way too scared to make jokes about minorities like they did in the second game. If you wanna get into the postal franchise, play postal, postal 2, and postal brain damaged; that's it, no other postal games are really that good. Nobody I know who likes the Postal franchise likes this game, Postal 3 arguably had more of a kick than this slop lol

After many updates this game is still ASS, just play Postal 2 if you want a better experience.
